Recently scored a handmade crochet blanket from my local Goodwill with ALL the colors!! It's also a stitch that has great peep holes so the cat loves hiding under it.

I love that you love handmade items. Having had a grandmother who hand knitted many an item, and my own dabbling's with this I see the hours of work that went into every piece. It makes me sad to see them end up in the thrift store.
At one side it's good that they ended up in the thrift store, because now they're not in the hands anymore of people who don't care about that they're hand made or not. And now they can be adopted by people who actually care about the time spent on handmade items.

Good choices Jenna! My fave is the Granny square blanket, I Love anything Granny Square! It would make a great sweater but yet, It looks fantastic on your yellow sofa.

The thing is -- everything looks good on you, Jenna. "Ugly" or cute or whatever. It all looks good on you! And the "low-key ugly" patchwork top looks adorable. (I think I have a thing for low-key ugly too, lol.)

Take out the hem in the legs. If very long. Add some cute white flowery lace. Heavy enough to stay straight. That's what we did it the 70s !

Team ‘don’t cut them’ here - the pattern is summery, and they can be worn as capri pants, with sandals, ballet flats, etc. It’s amazing to see both of you finding things you’re so happy with - I’m at the stage of my life (mid-50’s) where I’m donating 20- and 30-year-old clothes (dress clothes and workwear) because they don’t suit my current lifestyle or don’t fit, and I think, ‘would anyone really want this?’ Clearly, yes!

In the UK we have charity shops instead of thrift stores, so people donate clothes and everything is like £1-£8 and the money goes to the charity. It's a good time

Haha. I used to have cats and abandoned all black clothes. But I started wearing black T shirts again when they were gone.
But I have this rule that I don’t wear black , grey or dark blue winter coats , because I feel here in Berlin everything is grey in the 6 months of winter and I have to combat that.
