- the castle wall and bridge tiles are from _Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap_ for the Sega Master System
- the underground music is a remix of the melody of the underground music from _Super Mario Bros. 2_

It's not Q-Bert. Q-Bert's nose/mouth is a tube, kinda like Gonzo, but it's both his nose and mouth, and it's open at the end like a tube, and not curved down.
