      Well, videos are nice: funny, entertaining and probably unforgettable!!!
      But, pronunciation is a little poor..perhaps one reason why you're recording such videos is this, but it's ok
      I'm not bulling on you
      It just the answer because we all learners and we have to listen native speakers' speeches....
      Don't care, you're still cool!

    In the caribbean we can go out and celebrate in the streets, because there is no cold weather. Most people like to put on loud music for the whole block to enjoy. People are drinking lots of beer and other alcoholic beverages, getting drunk, dancing caribbean music and they keep it up until the next day, in some cases the party can go on for several days. In my country we eat "natilla" and "buñuelos" is a common tradition on december 24th and 31st. The children only get presents the 24th. Love your videos and agree that your personality is very attractive. Greetings from Colombia

    Here in the Deep South of America (at least where I live) we celebrate New Years with going out to parties & we count down the New Year. At midnight, you toast the new year and kiss the date that came with you. On New Years Day, we eat cornbread, black eyed peas, and collard greens. This is to ensure a prosperous and healthy new year.

    In Venezuela and LATAM, we usually make big parties with friends and family, with a lot of music, food, beer, dancing and all that stuff, sometimes they last two days, those parties are hilarious and crazy xD. Of course, we also used to gather each other and eat together, make wishes for the New Year. I think New Year's Even is one of the most funny and beautiful celebration.

    In UK we have a traditional Xmas movie "Scrooge" which was by Charles Dickens about a mean old man who gets taught about how to be a nicer person at Xmas,its really scary with ghosts but with a happy ending.

    • @glaucouswingedgull
      @glaucouswingedgull 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very true. Charles Dickens has been filmed producing multiple versions over the past century. Currently I like the parody, “Scrooged” (1988) with Bill Murray. But the season is not complete without a viewing of “It’s a wonderful Life”. Not exactly seasonal, but more a niche offering is “I remember Mama” 1948, especially if you are of Norwegian heritage.Also, more recently, “A Christmas Story” 1983 has become popular, and significant if only because of some of the phrases that were used in the movie that became so well known in American culture “You’ll shoot your eye out”.

    New Year's and Christmas seems very magical! My memories of my Christmas in Australia are some of my happiest of my life. My family was always happy on Christmas Day - we would travel out to where my grandparents lived on a farm with horses - usually in the Australian heat because HOORAY summertime for Christmas down under! - and have roast beef, baked potato and pumpkin for lunch with gravy, then all go to a bedroom and have an after-lunch nap! My Pop would dress up every year as Santa and give out presents to me and my siblings. A wonderful time

    • @V123es
      @V123es ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yes the New Year is one of the biggest celebrations in Russia along with 9th of May (Victory Day), Easter (probably because children get holidays and it lasts for a couple of days with the egg colourings and etc) and 1st September which is a national First day of School Day - you can see LOADS of flowers on that day). i think overall Russia has a lot more Bank Holidays than UK (definitely) not sure about other countries and there are also appreciation days such as certain profession (where you give thanks or gifts to someone you know in that profession) or mothers/fathers/children days and course 8th of March for women's day and 23 February for Men's day, Maslenitsya (pancake day) is another one, there are also individual "city birthdays" where its a full on 2 day celebration of a citys birthday with fireworks at the end of the 2nd day. i loved those the best cause where i lived it was in the summer

    Hi Ms. Anastashia,
    Hope you’re doing good I’m your new subscriber to your channel!
    First of all, I would like to thank you for sharing us the wonderful cultural celebration of Christmas and New Years eve in Russia.
    My nationality is Filipino and here in the Philippines we celebrate the Christmas Eve in December 24th and we consider it as a preparation for the coming Christmas Day on December 25th. The highest and most dominant religion in my country is Roman Catholicism which also my religion and well. So basically, before the exact Christmas Day we Filipinos used to attend and celebrate holy mass that we so called “Misa De Gallo” It occurs from varied different time schedule in evening it may be 7:00pm, 8:00pm or 9:00pm so it depends on their choices and it’s not actually to long our Eucharistic celebration is only for 1 hour and 30 minutes and after that we are now going home, eat together have a food feast and we called this as “Noche Buena” technically meaning a good night.
    On the other hand, our New Year celebration was celebration by December 31st and same as Christmas Eve the Filipino families attend holy mass in the evening to give thanks and pray for fruitful year to come and right after that we are going home to celebrate another feast and called it as “Media Noche” which means midnight and also a part of our culinary significance and tradition of sharing food until we reach 12 midnight on New Years Eve.
    Stay beautiful and kind I am looking forward for your new vlogs about Russia in the future, more power to your channel Ms. Anastashia God bless you! Loved from the Philippines!
    Respectfully yours,
    Emman 😊

    Christmas celebrates the birth of the baby Jesus, a very beautiful dinner between the family, people enter the closet. the turkey from the 24th to the 25th is served for dinner. I normally celebrate my daughter's birthday at lunchtime on the 24th to avoid family conflicts. we sing congratulations. and the night is dinner. with lentils, fruits, grapes, pork, raisins. They say chestnuts and nuts are for good luck, and people exchange gifts at midnight, sing Christmas carols, drink beer. In some families there is a secret friend game where we usually draw the names of family members and cannot say who got which name, so we buy a gift and on the day of dinner we take the time to deliver the gift by saying nice words or playing some guessing game. . mimes etc.

    In Brazil, people have the custom of spending New Year's Eve on the beach and jumping 7 waves to send to the mermaid and make 7 wishes. Whoever wants peace goes dressed in white, red love, yellow money, and green prosperity. People take a bottle of champagne to drink, and after the fireworks are over they go home.

    🌲Tsar Peter the Great copied the tradition of fir greenery in Europe and in 1700 asked his compatriots to decorate the holiday table with fir branches and the New Year was celebrated for the first time🎆. After Peter's death, such rituals fell into oblivion again, until Alexandra Fyodorovna, the wife of Tsar Nicholas I, breathed new life into them a whole century later, albeit at Christmas.
    🎀The German, born Friederike Luise Charlotte Wilhelmine von Prussia in Potsdam in 1798, introduced the custom at court of decorating tables with arrangements made of fir branches.🎄On her initiative, the first Christmas tree was set up in the Anichkov Palace in St. Petersburg in 1819. The first public "Jolka" could be admired in 1852 in the building of what was then the Yekaterinen railway station (today Moscow railway station) in St. Petersburg. From then on, it also spread to the provinces, especially in cities with a strong German diaspora. The Christmas tree is a German tradition and is now a tradition in Russia, America and many countries. Best Wishes to the world from Germany🎁🎁

    Russian Christmas reminds me of how American Christmas used to be.

      We mostly don't celebrate Christmas. Just some people go to the church for the Christmas Eve and that's all.

      @@RusGirlVlog Not exactly. Lots of Russians celebrate the way people in Russia used to in the times before the revolution of 1917, I mean getting together and having a true warm family celebration. Not everyone did it in Soviet times but some has always celebrated Christmas in Russia not only in the church but also at homes.

      @@ЕлизаветаБаронина-э3э я знаю очень много людей уже, учитывая свой возраст, но из всех этих людей только 1-2 семьи отмечают этот праздник походом в церковь на ночь, потом стол и гости дома, подарки. Для всех остальных это обычный выходной. Максимум поздравляют друг друга словами и всё.

    My absolute favorite Russian movie is "Irony of Fate or Enjoy Your Bath". The one where a Russian bachelor - a doctor by profession - gets undetected on a plane bound for St. Petersburg, instead of his friend not flying as planned... Well. The doctor was only going to return in the evening by taxi to his mother's apartment in Moscow. But he gets to his future wife's apartment at the same address with his own keys, where her boyfriend Ippolit will "fall from a great height and hurt his wing". I've watched it many times over the years and I never get tired of it.

      @@russiafromwithin5440 Несмотря на то, что я финн и живу в Финляндии, я всегда смотрю это снова. Есть и другие интересные российские и советские фильмы, но этот я пересматривал снова и снова с тех пор, как открыл его для себя. Галя очаровательна! И две ее нетерпеливые подружки... Отличный дуэт! Еще один фильм, который я тоже смотрел несколько раз, - «Преступление и наказание». Младшая сестра Родиона очень красивая.

He called it Matryoshka because of a Russian woman name Matryona that was popular at that time. That's all the story.
