- Agent Nesty at your service! How regular Russians live in a rural Russian village after the mobilization and the tightening of sanctions - I will show you real life in Russia under sanctions in 2023 in this video.
More than a year has passed since the tightening of sanctions against Russia due to the outbreak of war in Ukraine, and also a year after the announcement of mobilization in Russia. In this video I will tell you about what real life looks like in a Russian village with the help of my family members - my beloved grandparents. Do they feel the effects of sanctions? How did they react to the mobilization? Do you trust Russian Television?
I hope it'll be interesting and helpful for you ❤️

How sweet it was when my grandmother said how they "meet" the dead murderers-occupiers with the whole village, who were collected piece by piece in Ukraine and brought back to their homes. And how disgusting to see that ugly smile when she says that they are "for peace", while their army is destroying and bombing Ukrainian cities
@@vladkabanets3707Maybe I'm just seeing through rose-colored glasses but I took Grandparents words to mean that regardless of what happens, those are still "Their" boys. They mourn the loss of their children regardless of where they stand. I can personally agree. I'm anti-war and very critical of the american military as a whole, but that doesn't mean I'm happy to see a soldier die, because they're someone's loved one. I'm not happy to see anybody die on any side of a conflict.
Are you aware of rent prices and inflation in Western countries?... I'm forced to have 2 jobs to barely make it. It wasn't this bad 10 years ago. Young generations have a distorted vision of economics and politics... to understand these two sensitive topics you need a very open and wide-angle view of the world itself.

it's really fun to see life in a normal village. it's surprising how similar people in different countries are.
Why is it so surprising??? People are people. We all have the same worries and cares. We all get hungry, we all get cold, we all get hurt, we are all the same with different cultures. As long as they are not a culture that wants to destroy every other culture then I can live with that. And I can enjoy their culture and would love to learn more about it. I live in the US and I so disagree with my Federal Gov. about who our enemies are and who they are not. It is the Middle East that I worry about, not Russia. You speak of difficult conversations with your grandparents. It's a time of reflection. How far have we as a society gone down. Rising costs are everywhere and it doesn't make life easier. I'm sorry that life due to the sanctions have made is even worse. The Russian people have suffered for many generations. It's depressing. The ending was important to hear. The news tells us to hate and live in fear. We should not spread hate and fear. We need more understanding and love. That's how the world improves. Thank you, Nesty. Thank you so much for making this video! I'm so glad to see that young people both here in America, and there in Russia are rising up and saying enough is enough! Watching videos like yours from Russia where the young people of your generation are making such wise choices and decisions gives me hope for the possibility of World Peace someday. I'll be turning 65 years old in a few days. I was one of the hippies in the 60s and 70s that demonstrated in the streets for world peace here in America when I was your age. But alas, our government refused to listen to us. But unfortunately the percentage of us who lobbied for world peace was just too small to make any changes. But after seeing videos such as yours, and speaking to the young people here in America, I'm confident that one day soon, hopefully within my remaining lifetime, we will actually see World Peace. Your words are as sweet to the ears as your beauty is to the eyes! Please tell your elders that I am one American that, with rare exceptions, loves all people from all countries. Thank you again and God bless you for your work!
The majority of Americans are hypocrites and pathological liars.
class -like, best regards,
At 60, I remember some of the 60s. I remember two main things from the evening news: body counts from Viet Nam, and the stock market - both going up.
For a long time I sympathized with the hippies and the peace movement, I guess I still do to a certain extent, but I also realize that idealism has also led us to the point we are at now: where people demand student loan forgiveness for a legal contract they entered into, where squatters take over homes and live free for months or years while the rightful owner struggles to stay solvent, where the government propagandizes everything to manipulate people. I don't know the solution for the US, we're the same people inside as the Russian villagers, but we have to get our government under control and that starts with taking the financial profit out of government service.
America needs better education on the need for peace and ending hypocritical propaganda.
War propaganda exists on both sides. There is no good side here, those who are behind the politicians pulling the strings will always be bad
Your grandparents are wise beyond their years. They understand well how money corrupts and isn’t an absolute necessity for happiness. Just stumbled upon your channel. Very nice to see how life is in Russia. Living in a small village reminds me of this small village (a friend of my grandma). They also lived off the land a lot. Also nice to see some of your traditions. A friend of mine's wife is Russian and I spent Christmas with them. It was a fun day. Life is getting harder around the world can only imagine a country with sanctions. All the best and enjoy life🙂
I really admire that your grandparents still grow their own food and vegetables. Mine did too, but this tradition got lost after their generation. Even though people nowadays are too lazy to do that, but it is so helpful in hard times and will save a lot of money.
But in general, its always shocking to see how much the countryside differs from the life in the cities like St. Petersburg or Moscow. its like entering a different world.
Moscow and St. Petersburg are the capitals of Russia. Life is quite different in these cities. It is not for nothing that most Russian people separate life in these two cities from life in the rest of Russia. It is radically different. In most cases, people who do not live in cities with a population of more than 1,000,000 people have a poor lifestyle. Sometimes, they can't even afford basic needs. For example, medicine. Pensioners are used to this kind of life, so they perceive their situation as absolutely normal. But almost all of them barely make ends meet. That is why even very old people plant potatoes in the spring. This helps them save some money during the winter. And that is very sad.
@@sosa_boss You wrote some nonsense! 😂
1. I studied in Moscow and lived in several different cities, life is different everywhere, but not radically. I bet you lived in less cities than I and even can’t compare 😂 You even don’t know, that both Moscow and Saint-Petersburg is not the most expensive cities in Russia. And not with highest salaries. North and Far East is most expensive and richest cities.
2. Medicine in Russia is free and regular people can afford for self medical level far above than regular people in rest world. If compare with western countries, it is level which have only upper middle class (minority).
And you are mad, medicine _never_ represent basic needs, whole history of humankind it luxury, only communists proposed conception of so-called “medicine for mass”.
Epidemic in 2020 perfectly demonstrated for comparison how in Western countries medicine is unavailable for regular people, in huge cities, like Chicago, there are less boxes/beds than even in small Russian towns 😂 You are like alien. Do you traveled? Do you know that in Latin America exist a lot of hospitals specially for US citizens because majority can’t afford for self medicine in US? Do you know that in Russia exist tourism for medical help, each year millions people came to Russia to get high quality and cheap medical help. For Russians it is just free.
3. You talk nonsense about potatoes 😂 I just opened online market (22 Oct 2023), 1 kg of potatoes in Moscow (one of the most expensive city) is ₽15. It means on average pension it is possibly to buy 1,2 ton of potatoes. With spouse it is already 2,4 tons of potatoes each month! Do you understand what nonsense you talk? 😂😂😂 Potatoes cost nothing and it is impossibly to save money when you growing potatoes at all.
People plant misc stuff just for fun.

This is a great installment. Having difficult conversations with family/friends is stressful (be it around social or political or religious topics), and I have come to the conclusion that I can’t allow how I feel cloud my love for my family, who are each unique in their alternative views. Furthermore, I have also concluded that I will never change anyone’s opinions nor will they be able to change my opinions. So, we trudge ahead and try to simply enjoy this fast-moving thing we call life.
It’s sad when verifiable facts can’t change some people’s opinions. They are telling you they can’t be trusted to think straight. Listen to them.

Thank you Nesty. I have just found you. I have enjoyed all of your posts so far. You are not afraid to tell about the Russia you see.
Coming from someone who served in the military as a Lieutenant I can say that all armies generally recruit from rural regions. Rural people are more used to dealing with the elements like rain, mud, cold as they live simpler lives so the lack of comfort of the front will not affect their morale as much as they are much more stoic than city people. Another point is pure economic reasons, because city people are usually more educated so their GDP per capita output is disproportionately larger for the economy, for example, a doctor or an engineer takes at least 5 years to be trained and millions in school infrastructure investment if they are killed at the front the long term blow is very hard. This is a lesson Russia learned in the 90s when most of their educated population fled to the west during the crisis after the fall of the soviet union (something that was made by design by the Americans) this is pretty much why educated people when drafted will become officers and not grunts.
True, but educated people from cities make the worst officers when they gain rank. The people in the Pentagon have almost never spent any time in the ranks where they were being shot at. You can't learn what war is like in school or in training or in map exercises - you have to see the Elephant yourself. Gen. Milley managed to get a CIB while serving as a staff weenie in an infantry brigade. If he deserves that, I deserve wings for being in an airborne division.
@@neilreynolds3858 I wouldn't be so decisive in my words as military theory is needed just as much as real experience is needed but generally speaking you are correct. This is what makes the Wagner Group so efficient btw, all the officers came from the bottom so to speak. The army must always be meritocratic and political promotions should be forbidden.
I always enjoy your videos. You always come up with these witty comments and have a very good sense of humor. It's also very smart to express your opinions while not saying them. Great job !
Honestly - i think it’s big that you will not let differing opinions break your relationship with your family 🙏 i recently found your videos and I believe we have similar view points! Please never stop making these they are amazing - but also never put yourself in danger 😅
I’ll be honest - besides enjoying your vlogs for the effort you put into them and the “humanity” you bring to the world through your own experiences and life, for what must be the very first time I didn’t get annoyed with or chose to skip through the part of a video where you (the channel owner/operator) made an advertisement for your sponsor!
Surprisingly, the service and company providing it seem to have come up with a legitimately great idea!! And I think the app would actually help people who are trying to learn a new language! Everywhere I’ve ever been and everyone I’ve ever spoken with (who’s not from a native English speaking country) who has learned the English language outside of a formal setting, has told me they’ve done so with the help of watching either movies (for older people) or TH-cam (for today’s generation)… Definitely an interesting (and unique) idea these guys came up with…
Cheers. ✌️
yeah, watched some YT vids about medicine, now I consider myself of being capable to do heart transplants ... movies and YT may help to train the 'ear' - but how do you learn correct grammar or writing by YT? We already see the outcome of 'learning by google translate': (young) people en masse apply (literally 'translated') words that are non-existent in the original language. And if one would work through Shakespearean "Romeo and Juliet" using Cambridge Dict ? Sure, though, it is hard work - requiring 'effort' - unpopular in nowadays 'easy learning' of aleatoric nonsense ... Anyway , the 'modern civlisised west' is on a backflip towards Cro-Magnon age: hurga hurga f*ck f*ck ideocracy :(
I can’t learn English by watching movies, I tried several times..
I'm from India I really love the similarity in Indian and Russian village , one more thing you're really adorable ❤

@AgentNesty I visited Russia in 2021 and I enjoyed my time there. I visited a village called Krasnaya Gorka for a few weeks and I loved the peacefulness of the life there. While there was not much to do, it was nice. I've also visited Nizhny-Novgorod and Kazan. I love your videos!
Liked all the videos about villages on your channel. The grandparents are satisfied with life and whatever little resources they have to get by in life. Channel is growing steadily. Cheers 🎉
Wonderful video about your family and their feelings. Nesty, even here in America we are lied to by politicians who thirst for power and are corrupt. Luckily we can find truth if we dig deep and research on our own. I have grown very fond of Russian culture through people like you and your family. We really are all alike in so many ways. Treasure your youth in your village!
Truth? You do realize you Americans is the only thing that kept the Russians at bay from expanding even more right? Saved numerous countries including mine from the Russian occupations? These people live like this because they literally have been since forever because they can't rely on the state for anything and have to survive mostly on their own.
The Russia as we know it exists mostly in the bigger cities. Regular village folk just live their lives off the land as best as they can keeping their heads low.
We do have a right wing but they are a minority in the U.S.
Greetings from Arlington, Texas (Dallas-Ft Worth area - "DFW") I LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS! We in the USA will not be using SWIFT soon enough. Many people here are suffering from the bad economy. We too will struggle through the change from the Globalist debt-based "floating" dollar value BACK to (1972) the GOLD standard....As Russia is now. God Bless President Putin!
Your economy is restructuring to accommodate that and Russia is LEADING us...as you wait for the USA to be done with SWIFT.
Please pray for President Trump.☦
Pray for the persecuted Russians in Ukraine. We must TOGETHER defeat the Globalist Nazis. They are trying to destroy the USA.
They control most of the media. Do not believe U.S. citizens hate Russians. It is not true. Many people think Russian People ARE USSR.
They are just ignorant. Please Pray to God for ignorant people in Jesus' Name! ☦
BRICS is the future and precious metals (sometimes the politicians say "commodities") will be the foundation of future exchanges between our countries.
God Bless you, Nesty and your friends and family, in Jesus' Holy Name, Surely, Certainly, AMEN!☦
I am an American living in Russia. The West has been lying for years instilling false ideologies of Russian people to Americans. The truth shall be known
I see some people in the west and even in the USA knows the real truth you have an independent mind which your government cannot control .

Thank you for your insights into life in a little Russian village
Yes! We all agree on three of the most important thing in everyone's lives... is Peace... Love... Respect!❤
I lived in Russia 6 years. I love the people there and wish I could return. God bless you for your vision and success. You are a talent and a credit to your family.
Thank you Nesty for another excellent expose of the lifestyles and wisdom of the rural Russian villages.
It has progressively become more expensive to live all over the world, and in many places the people have far less support
and less practical knowledge to look after themselves.
Again you confirmed the resiliency and true compassion of your family and the Russian people.
In a world filled with divisive rhetoric and warmongering it gives me faith to see this and how your leaders remain steadfast in protecting the people and their individuality.
Although I was born and currently live in South Africa I have travelled extensively around Africa, America and Europe and lived in the Netherlands and briefly in Portugal, I would love to still travel to Russia and spend time their. I love that your country embraces some 193 ethnic groups and from your compassion shared here must have a heart of gold. Bless you beautiful soul.
Greetings from the UK - as someone who’s father was a British sailor taking cargos to Russia in WW2 and met many very good Russians, please do not think all British people believe what our governments says about the Russians. The Russians are a warm generous people. If it hadn’t been for the huge sacrifices in blood made by Russia, people in the West would not live as they do now - believe in your Country - listen to your elders - they are the heart of Russia! ❤+ peace
She literally says that she can't speak freely.
Thanks for sharing! Highly informative and well-done video.
Thank you for the videos.
Life in a village in Russia seems similar to life in a small town in northern Wisconsin, USA. It is very rural up there and people have to be relatively quite self sufficient. My mother was raised up there and as a child she had to pick berries and fish to help feed her family. It is still similar today. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of jobs in northern Wisconsin and a lot are living off of government pensions and equivalents.
I also liked how you kept in the clip of one of your grandparents that put all Americans into the same anti Russian group. That intellectual shortcut also exists with many in the USA in regards to Russians and Chinese. Of course they are wrong. If the official USA government stance is against Russia or China that doesn't mean all of the people in the USA are against the people of Russia or China or even most of them are. I blame the mainstream media because they are always writing stories in the context of "US does this, Russia does that, or China does those, when it is just some part of the government of that respective country doing those things. I also find being labeled as having the same opinion as the USA government offensive when I usually don't. Most people in the USA don't agree with the US government on most of the things that government does.
It is true that the American's government has been anti Russian government. And that many have taken the intellectual shortcut handed to them by the mainstream media that all people in a country are the same as the government of that country. But your candid portrayals of everyday life in Russia present an irrefutable fact that people are people, they are not government policies. And that is likely quickly evident to nearly anyone seeing them.

Wonderful video, Agent Nesty. Our governments and corporations indeed get in the way of our ultimate pursuits, to live in peace and be happy. I loved the way you interspersed the animals in with the interview footage. Pets are a universal symbol of our capacity for unconditional love and caring as humans. If only we could extend that to each other, right?

Your grandma is wonderful like videos thank you
I’m watching your show right now… you are very sweet and so is your family too. My conclusion of the world and I’m going to be 70 in two years, is the people are generally nice, it’s our governments that causes wars and propaganda and hate towards each other. In America we are going through very hard time with our liberal dictator government that uses every excuse to take rights from us. The media paints Trump as a racist and so but he never took a dime to be president nor did he start a war. He worked with Putin to get rid of ISIS.
Keep your beautiful attitude and your genuine niceness and you will succeed for more than you know. Believe in God Jesus Christ and seek the truth and you will see lies and evil before it seeks you.💕💕💕💕

Hi Nesty, my respect to such a young girl with so many wise words. Lets hope together for peace and freedom all over the world even when another conflict raised again and there are many others under the blanket. We humans are so stupid. CU

Be proud and love your country. Russia is a great country and I respect your culture.
Agent Nesty -- You are correct in your conclusion that prices for food, clothing, and fuel have been going up all around the world. Obviously, the general inflation is probably hurting Russians more than it hurts people in other countries due to the sanctions. I know those have created particular difficulties for Russians. I am an eighty year old man who retired from working on my seventieth birthday. My wife and I live in New York City, which is particularly expensive even by standard in the United States. However, I was fairly well paid when I was working so I have enough money to live pretty much as I choose and to travel and generally enjoy all the things that New York City has to offer. I very much want to compliment you on your English. Your English is very good, especially considering that you have essentially learned it online. I will continue to look for your videos, and I wish you all the best in your future.
First time to see your video. You are a kind woman. I hope the best for you and your family. Love from the US!!
I was living in Siberia Russia for about 5 months before the invasion, and for another 5 months after it began. I never saw any bad changes after the sanctions. I mean McDonald's and Starbucks were just replaced by exactly the same thing but with different names. Stores were always fully stocked. My Western cards stopped working there, but Russian issued cards still worked for everyone.
Very nice video, my wife and I wanted to travel across Russia by motorcycle and had our Visa's 6 weeks before were due to leave Scotland we had to cancel because Covid hit, we had saved a long time for this 6 Month trip and now with the crazy war its very difficult. Prices have gone up in the UK as well, crazy, all politicians blame Covid, The war In Ukraine, now the problems in the middle east. People are the same the world over as you say, I just wish the polititians would grow up and leave us alone. Keep the channel going, I'm impressed
I am a 60 year old American who lives a simple country (rural) life, much like your Grandparents. I have been following the Russia Ukraine issue for 8 to 10 years. Be assured, it is NOT Russia who caused this conflict and it was not Ukraine either. It was my country and it's corrupt leaders that forced this war upon your people. Your leader, Pres. Putin, actually went to great lengths trying to avoid this conflict and I (and many other Americans) have great admiration for him (and your people). Putin has brought your country from the post Soviet Union collapse to a much better place today and toward an even better place in the future. I am sure you cannot get the information that we can get here in the USA but you should feel happy for your future. War is BAD, it should be stopped and it will end. But your leaders cannot stop this war. Only the US and Western Europe can end this conflict. Pray it will be far sooner than later. I do!!!
Trump will bring an end to this war. That’s exactly why American elected him. It is possible for both Russia and America can coexist peacefully.
Well said brother. God bless

Thank you for sharing a perspective I don’t see here in California…I’m learning to read and struggle to speak Russian so I can hear what the people have to say about the condition of our countries today…I hope the best moments for you and your family from here in California
Russia is a beautiful country that has been through so much throughout history, yet they have made such remarkable progress in every field! There's just so much to discover, the breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, the vibrant and wonderful culture, the warm, welcoming, helpful, and friendly community, and so much more! I wish Russia wasn't so misunderstood and people saw it in the better light that it deserves. Love to Russia from India 🇮🇳🫂🇷🇺
@aaravdalmia2362 Too bad that beautiful country has a corrupt government that can't handle what happened in 1991. Russia collapsed, provinces on the border got independent from the regime and became new countries. But Mr. P has to have those countries back as part of Russia and makes up dumb reasons to start a war. Hundreds of thousands of people die, all very unnecessary if you ask me.
Of course there are normal people in Russia and it's not good they have to suffer too, at least not as much as the Ukrainians.
They and also you have to rethink your sypathy for the government of Russia.
As a 47 year old American I fully agree with the second set of your Grand Parents who say that there is a lot of falsehoods coming out of the main stream media in America. They get it 100 percent, you would be wise to heed their words.
Great channel! Please make more videos like this, interviewing ordinary people 😊
Hi, I am Canadian and watched your video. It gave me a new perspective on life in rural Russia. I visited western Russia (large cities) several years ago and found that life was similar to any large city. I sense that rural Russians are unable to obtain current news and decide what is true and what is not. You are doing a fabulous job of educating people. Keep up the good work and stay safe....
Why did you decide that rural Russians are not aware of what is happening in big cities?
We are aware of everything anywhere in our country. And everyone chooses how to live. For example, I live in a metropolis, and I’m very tired, I want to go to the village, where there is peace and quiet :)
@AgentNesty Here in India also mostly people from villages join the army and protect our borders. Lack of better opportunities and lack of better education and guidance are the reason behind that. The city dwellers are not very much interested in joining the armed forces, as there are better and safer opportunities available to them. Since our economy has been doing better, there are plenty options available now for an adventurous life. Fighting and dying for one's country is not one of them. During previous generations people used to join army out of patriotism and adventure both.
However, as we are the most populous nation and have one of the youngest population, our army still don't have to force or conscript youth for fighting. In fact, during the army recruitment drives youth from all across the region come as a crowd to the recruitment camps sometimes causing stampede and death of a few aspirants. So having a large population has its own benefit both from the point of view of the economy and the security.
Now coming to the village life, like Russia people living in Indian villages also try to grow most of the things needed. They lead a self sufficient kind of life. Our population on the average have much lower per capita income then Russia. And I believe all the old and retired people in the villages (or even in cities) might not be getting even as comparable a pension as in Russia. But things are improving slowly.
Our babushkas and dedushkas are equally loving. But watching the Russian vlogs I see that these people from Soviet times have a certain kind of equanimity in their approach to life. It seems these Soviet babushkas and dedushkas are a kind of Yogis.
Great video! And your English is sooooo impressive!!! I need to try that app! Thank you, sending you big hugs! 🤗🥰
Your grandparents are humble, simple, wise, probably endured much worst times than us, have a high sense of patriotism and duty, and they don't complain. They have all my respect, admiration and sympathy. Sadly, nowadays the world is ruled by money and ego, by and for people that place these 2 plagues way above all the qualities I just mentioned.
it is true. my word have done. my word seems gold.
Interest connection with money. Wonder why the Russian leader is the richest person in the whole country? With Billions and billions of dollars in riches, yachts, private jets and massive houses. All paid for by villagers.
It would be fun to see what kind of responses you would get similar questions in a small town in the USA. You will probably see a wide variety of opinions. People only know what they are told or taught about things they have no way to independently verify and that is sometimes magnified in the small towns. Social media I think is starting to change a lot of peoples ideas about what the average person thinks or feels in other countries around the world.
But you can use your common sense to understand that Putin and his mafia clan are exploiting Russian people. It shouldnt be too difficult to see how much money they accumulate.
