I rode this train between Middletown and Newark Penn Station every day early in my career. (Jersey Central RR.) Engine change at South Amboy...sometimes we would get off the train for a couple of minutes to spread our legs. You could also buy a quickie beer for the rest of the trip if I remember correctly.
@@franksanders9677 I'm not entirely sure, but I assume they're usually found on Hoboken based trains, so that's the Main Line, Bergen County Line, and Pascack Valley Line.
@@franksanders9677 I'm not sure how many Metro North F40s are still on the roster though, since they usually run on Port Jervis Line trains that start from Hoboken.
Note: If you look closely at the F40’s number boards, you will see they are back in their as delivered versions when being delivered in 1981.

those German locomotives look a bit odd but especially the Pennsylvania heritage locomotive's color scheme looks awesome
