Just got a 4tb Samsung 990 Pro, saved $180 on it. Been wanting to upgrade the SSD for quite a while now, was sick of deleting games and having to redownload them all the time. Can’t wait to try this bad boy out. I only came across your video after buying and installing it, glad to see the one I chose at the number one spot on your list.
990 Pro has lots of issues like dying for no reason and capping the speed to very low probably that's why they sell for so cheap since day one in comparison to other brands with even older Models while other Samsung SSD keep their prices years after release from what i've seen Best Gen4 are Seagate 530 and Corsair MP600 Pro XT but all Corsair MP600 are very good quality
been using a WD 1TB for a while now, more than enough for me, works great no issues whatsoever, and prices are great now days. although i have the launch ps5, newer consoles come with more storage.
I’m not sure about Samsung SSD’s because after 18 months the one I had just completely quit and froze up my system. I give Samsung credit for honoring the warranty and they sent me a new SSD which I have in my PS5 and I have WD in my PS5 Pro. I guess time will tell now because both were installed about the same time. Don’t get me wrong, I am a Samsung fan. I own four Samsung TVS, our washer and dryer are Samsung, and we just purchased a new Samsung Range.
I just bought a 4TB Jupiter m.2 SSD by Fikwot off of Amazon that was on sale for under $200. That was easily the best price I've seen ANY brand on sale for; but it was only for a day before it went back up in price. It's to replace the 2TB SSD that's already in my PS5. I can put that into my desktop PC.
I don't use the samsung anymore. The magician software doesn't work anymore so the firmware can not be updated which is important to get the best speeds. on the WD Black 4TB this works completely fine, have that on a discount aswell. The speed is just 6850 MB/s.
Just put in a NV7000 (2T)... AND I LOVE IT! (My PS5 said it's6300, all I know is IT'S FAST) It was definitely affordable, has a heart sync and looks great, had good reviews, etc.
I grabbed the 5 pro 4tb Samsung drive and the disc drive. My disc drive makes mad noise on start up. And still gets hot and goes black screen! Installed cabinet fan but still does it at times!
Sn850p is available in 8TB ,the Samsung is not ,that's why I switched from 980pro to wd instead 990 pro, beside samsung hat some Firmware issues lately The issue in wd, the heat sink is really close in the ps5 pro, it was good in the regular ps5 , Beside this, Western Digital is better in support and exchange of defect ssd
😂 this guy said you won't see the rgb's on the Samsung and that's not true they're bright and there are gaps you know in the ventilation of the system so you will see the lights
Love to hear people talking about heatsink tech when they haven't a clue what they are talking about. Nickel or copper blah blah. Typically, a drive heatsink only dissipates during loading/access times, so a lot of games only cause transient loads - the heatsink's mass will soak up the heat generated, dissipating it slowly during the action. This is less-so for open-world or flight-sims where data is constantly read from the drive. Here, some fan assist would help.
it's been what 3 years and i still haven't seen one Proper video on SSD for PS5 literally every youtuber spouts the same crap and not one of them stops to think the Best SSD for PS5 is Seagate 530 and Corsair MP600 Pro XT yes NOT LPX and Seagate 530 NOT with the stock heatsink for 1TB drives that are one side populated you can use bay door heatsink but for 2TB and 4TB drives that are double sided drives Best is to use Tall heatsink yes Bigger then what Sony states so it pops out of the SSD tray a little for better cooling and yes that also means you don't close the bay door you don't need it at all it only keeps hot air inside Corsair MP600 Pro XT is the Perfect has great heatsink and keeps the drive very cool unlike the LPX variation the only this is that on PS5 Slim and Pro you have to remove the top cover from the SSD side cause it won't close while on the OG PS5 there's more then enough space under the cover plates Sony has given these not optimal specs and says you have to close the bay door Only cause they NEED to by Law
Are you a BOT, asking as certain words are how a BOT or AI would pronounce them, for example saying P.R.O. instead of PRO, strange, but hey it's all gravy as I won't be back anyway 😉

The 2tb Firecuda is the best in my personal opinion. I have one in my Ps5 and one in my Pc...🤔🧐 how could you not just love the name 🔥Firecuda🔥‼️
In an SSD review video, 990 pro is in its own league for gen4 m.2, across more than 10 other competitions.

Anything with fast enough storage is fine. I prefer no name brands. Cheap is the name
I got a 2tb xpg 2 years ago for $99 during Black Friday and has been good for me, had better specs than the Sony internal ssd.
Lexar NM 790 4TB is your best bang for your buck
Got a 2 tb Samsung 990 in my pro right now now
I have a wd 2 tb its works for me
I did my research in 2024 before buying my ssd, really exited on my purpose with 990 pro
What about the 990 pros dying
Western Digital Black SN850P 2Tb M.2 SSD is great for Ps5 Slim.
Getting my PS5 Pro soon and I bought the Samsung SSD drive to be prepared. Samsung has a great track record so I settled for that one.
Don't forget to buy the Ps5 Disc Drive.
@rashidhumine already got that too.
Don't forget to buy a small Philips screw driver lol
I grabbed the 5 pro 4tb Samsung drive and the disc drive. My disc drive makes mad noise on start up. And still gets hot and goes black screen! Installed cabinet fan but still does it at times!
Better off getting a slim and a ssd

Ha mate, which is the game at 2:08 u played.
Why isn’t Sony making these for their in-house PlayStation
it's good that they don't otherwise we would most probably have PSP and Vita situation with some Insanely expensive proprietary garbage
how much does Samsung pay you??
Please consider timestamps in future vids, for the love of god.
The wd black sn850x is much cheaper and the same. Even a little bit faster. Its just more expensive because off the PlayStation logo
This A.I. bot scalper cant even play the PS5 it stole from humans! 😠😤😡🤬
