Sorry darling I just had a lot of crap with spam lately. You can’t even watch TH-cam without getting hit with some sort of crap. You do have a good channel and I like your show very much
John, this is so ironic as yesterday I received a DALLAS residual for a second season episode "COMING HOME".. Executive Producer Lenny Katzman was a friend (we all worked for Lorimar, I started on THE WALTONS as a PA, eventually as an Assistant Director) btw Lenny's car CA License Plate read "EWING 1" Lenny cast me in COMING HOME (I think I was a Bell-Boy or something like that) to keep my SAG Medical current. I was so lucky as I got to work with Barbara, I don't recall if Patrick was in the scene or not (sorry Patrick).. speaking of Patrick we had a mutual dear friend writer James Prideaux who, in your interview, Patrick mentions as a Playwright friend...anyway, I met Patrick on many occasions, most at Prideaux's apartment at the "Italian Village" in West Hollywood...Patrick was just a wonderful guy...and I had worked with Linda Purl on THE WALTONS and THE YOUNG PIONEERS (another Lorimar Production) I had a crush on Linda, phenomenal actress, she could do it all, what can I say. I have to laugh looking back at working on DALLAS...it was shot on Stage 8 at MGM and it had been pouring rain for days, and the street outside Stage 8 was flooded, in fact, they had to place sandbags at the doors to keep the water off the set, and the Wardrobe Guy (I think it was Bob Miller) had to roll my pants up and literally carry me to the set so as not to soak the wardrobe. Patrick will remember that. I've been receiving residuals for many shows I worked on in the 70's and 80's but hadn't gotten anything from DALLAS in years. Just yesterday I got a residual for COMING HOME...it was Labeled "Free Internet" whatever that means $11.00, not bad for a show I worked on 45 years ago! Perhaps, John, you could put me in touch with Patrick, Linda too. I'd appreciate that, it would be fun to catch up! Thank you for another great THAT'S CLASSIC!
Great stories John. What an amazing time in your life. Unfortunately I don’t work as an intermediary (as the request comes more often than you might think) to keep my relationship with my guests as professional and personal as possible. I hope you understand.

As you know, everyone lived and breathed Dallas back then. It is incredible to think there were only 3 tv channels back then. I lived in a dorm at West Tx. State Univ. Great interview with Patrick Duffy. Everything from The Man from Atlantis, Dallas (even a Knots Landing shout out), Step by Step and B&B. He was so classy and discussed everything with great detail. The only thing I thought was odd about the Dallas discussion was there was no mention of the main storyline of the show which was Bobby & Pam (aka Romeo & Juliette). Of course, maybe he didn’t want to discuss it but he mentioned (or was asked) practically about the whole cast except Victoria Principal. Anyway, keep up the good work. @thatsclassictv I’d love someone to ask him or Linda what the original plan a story was for the Dallas season 2 reboot if Larry hadn’t died. I read Cynthia say they planned for plan A only with Larry for all 15, till they had to pivot. It would be nice for someone to come out and tell us what the original end game of s2 was
@@ThatsClassicTV you’re welcome! I really wish we got a resolution to Dallas 2.0, but we didn’t! The Judith light brothel garbage, along with Elena trying to go against the Ewings now with that dude was just whack! Patrick Duffy is so nice and is an amazing storyteller. Most of what he said, he said in other interviews(so was not new to me), however it is always great to hear those stories. 😊 #BobbyEwingLives 😎😎😎
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'd love you to interview other Dallas stars. I would love to have asked Patrick what it was like working with William Smithers who played Jeremy Wendell.@@ThatsClassicTV
@@mattk5020 Well Matt, it always in the works so we will see what happens😀
@@ThatsClassicTV Great stuff, wonder if he remembers the scenes with Carter McKay and his son Tommy McKay.
