Ignore these haters who are getting on you about the first few minutes of the video. If it's that big of a deal to them, then they can simply unsubscribe and stop watching your videos. But I absolutely LOVED this reaction. I was so excited for you to react to this movie and it definitely lived up to my expectations! You're very quickly becoming one of my favorite reactors. Keep up the awesome work!
Being from chicago where this was filmed and a baseball fan this movie holds a special place with me. My cousin dated one of the twins who played jefferson in this movie the big boy.
I was around these kids’ age when this movie came out. So seeing G-Baby’s death messed me up fr. Couldn’t believe seeing someone my age die, like I didn’t think it was possible 😂 Still love this movie, great reaction as usual! ✊🏾🔥
I was a teenager when I saw this. I couldn't watch the movie again until today. As an adult, G-Baby demise made me cry. What's even more crazy this movie came out back in 2001. Then months later the Twin Towers was destroyed here in NYC. I was 14 years old when the Twin Towers were destroyed. I actually witnessed that....
Honesty I don’t think this one will flop. I think your fans been waiting for you to review this because it’s your type of movie . I’m 32 and was in middle school when this came out. I remember me and my sisters all crying. I know you’ll LOVE reviewing the movie “Crooklyn”
Great reaction, I’ve seen this movie a bunch of times and when you started crying, you made me cry. I’ve got daughters your age and I hate when they cry cuz it breaks my heart. So thanks for that 😂
This movie has such a great storyline. Coach made them a better team and in turn they made him a better person. I thought that you would love this movie, MJ and I’m glad that you did. Very genuine reactions added to the experience. Kudos!!!
36:17 I think G baby’s birthday came and went at that point of the season. He told the coach his birthday was soon. He didn’t play until after his 9th birthday.
Til this day, Hardball is one of the hardest movies to watch towards the end. It really makes you love those damn kids, and it hits hard seeing what they go through and also knowing its not made up. Its as real as it gets, your tears are justified. This movie makes me shed a tear every damn time, Ive worked with kids in after school programs and they have a certain charm that nothing can replicate. Love your reactions. 100
Hardball is a certified hood classic, One of Keanu Reeves best movies, and itself underrated. I love that it was filmed here in Chicago 😎 The only negative is the fact that the Cubs baseball game scene was filmed at Tiger Stadium in Detroit.
From Philly my mom's best friend was in the witness relocation program cause the mob wants to kill her now ex husband. I went down the road...trust me you don't want to go that way. I'm a recovering alcoholic...last time i went on a bender my mom heard me fall and came into the bathroom and found me passed out in the bathtub. I was having seizures and almost bit my tongue off.
Only found your channel a few days ago and this movie is a blast for the past. Me and my buddy growing up would watch this movie at least twice a week. I didnt know who keanu was at that point. I can never listen to biggie without smiling.
G baby scene hits me deep every time my kid loved this movie, she legit can't watch it again tho because of how sad that G baby death scene was such a great movie tho awesome reaction
If you think it's weird for you to cry, imagine being a grown man who grew up with this movie and has seen it 100 times. I still have my G Baby Kekumbas jersey
Beautiful movie. And if you don't cry about Baby G you ain't human. Hardball was a great film and after 9/11 it was the first film that opened up at number 1 afterward. The movie is sad but also ends in a hopeful way and is inspiring so in a way it kinda helped.
Ughh somebody beat me to my request😭😭 editing my comment after watching ur reaction, this was the exact reaction I expected‼️👏🏾😭💯 I’ve seen this movie plenty of times and I was still crying right there with u, im glad u watched it and I’m glad u enjoyed, i knew you would love it👏🏾☺️💯
I remember watching this for the first time when I was 9 years old. And the part when g baby got killed boy, my heart sunk. It was the person and it is frustrating that people don't realize how impactable they can be to kids when they need to be. And I got to say MJ. I'm glad that you finally covered this movie. It is a childhood favorite and it's definitely worth the watch.
Also, the soundtrack for this movie slaps like some heat on this soundtrack; the title track hardball is by Jermaine Dupri, Bow Wow, Sammie, Lil Zane & Lil Wayne
I forgot to mention in my other post, I just discovered your channel this evening, and just gave you a subscribe. I am saying good evening to you from my home of NYC 💚 Sincerely, Terrell
Again lol yet again thank you thank you! I'm glad that finally someone has reacted to this movie, I said this on the Gridiron Gang. so damn true this movie gets requested a lot you truly are goated 🐐, rest in peace g-baby 🙏 I actually have a jersey with G-Babies name on the back, truly a goat especially keeping it up still lol
I took my little brothers to watch this in theatres so it's pretty cool seeing you react to this Keanu classic. I hope the video does well. Nice haircut by the way.
28:47 that's the kid who was in the nickelodeon show All That.. they recently interviewed him on quiet on the set he was the kid that was covered in peanut butter n the dogs was licking all over him, he was uncomfortable with that scene
I am willing to bet every person who reacts to movies on this platform, every single person who sees this movie for the first time will cry. The whole theater cried when I watched it come out
When they first started suggesting this movie, I KNEW you'd cry lol. I even commented "yall really trying to make this girl cry?!" That scene hits me every time too, no matter how many times I watch it. Senseless violence/killing smh.
Hi MJ, new viewer here 😊. Yes there are different ways to hit a ball. You got the full swing, bunting & slap. Bunting is what you saw as just no swing. And a slap is shuffling to the ball with the bat and with not much power or letting the bat do the work with the momentum of your shuffle. Hope my little info helps. Also my favorite sports movie.
40:46 i’m right there with you, im over here boo hoo cryin…. i recently lost one of my younger friends and whew girl…… and even in church…. i just wish everyone would do right by children….. they are literally our future
I haven't watched this movie since i was a kid (so when it came out). It was the saddest thing in the world. G baby death i remember was traumatizing within the black community. That was the only thing anyone would talk about. I was today years old when i knew Keanu was in this movie, considering i didn't know who he was back then. Thank you for making me watch this again. Although i cried like it was the first time.
38:36 it’s perfectly okay to cry trust me😂😢😢that’s one of the saddest scenes that many people that watched Hardball was hurt from RIP G baby I’m really hoping this movie doesn’t flop with views because it’s so underrated as a sports film (a bit darker) but still great in showing a different side that many Hollywood sports films don’t show

underrated Keanu movie
The saddest part of this movie still gets me till this day as I'm in my 30's ...hardball is a straight up classic
It's hard NOT to be emotional at that ending, don't feel like you gotta hold back! Shit gets me everytime!
Don’t apologize for crying. We appreciate your authenticity. Let the tears flow. ❤
Fun fact. G baby worked at my local Olive Garden here in Illinois
Did u pinch his cheeks??
@@zach4627he robbed me
Shoulda got more roles. He was the highlight of the film
@@arttashfilms9816 Horrific person. Even hollywood didn't want him. Says alot, since the majority are sociopaths and nazis.

@@ShayMiWcrazy I was so young I didn’t even realized he died until they showed the bullet hole because he was so still and still looking
