Wow! That's a great echo. I'll have to see if it's on my account. The only tape echo like this I've got was the Cherry 201. Plate, Hall, etc switch, cool.
PS I'm seeing the stellar echo on the Slate webpage, not sure yet if this is pushing an updated install on the Slate upload manager in my studio Mac Mini M2 yet.
Intetesting, it sounds quite authentic 70s & 80s analog. Could you review T-Racks 6 Delay Lab to see if it can achieve the same or similar results. Side by side maybe? A powerful delay unit that adds movement, space and depth to vocals, instruments, rhythmic patterns and everything else.
I tried slate digital stuff...subbed,sadly made the mistake on not reading the text so subbed for a whole year. Not again. They should make their stuff available as single purchase, the mic and fx are nice but sub only no thanks. Just get the arturia or cherry audio versions, as good as theirs with less fancy animations too (I own both)
I wish they did a rent-to-own like Plugin Alliance, but I guess Slate doesn’t put out enough tools on a regular basis to warrant that. People would subscribe and then quit.
Even though I have other emulations of it, I’d still go for this, it seems lovey… if it weren’t $200 with no sale ever coming. I’m cancelling my subscription sometime in the future, been with them since 2017. It’s going to be a nightmare opening unfinished/old projects.
With this type of comment I always wonder: which tape did you use, HomePod is it, how is the condition of the heads, did it get maintenance ? With that old gear, nothing sounds that similar.
@@audiotoolshedIt’s probably the best subscription service out there that isn’t rent-to-own, especially after the SSL integration. I just can’t stay subscribed for sooo many years with no ownership. I think I’ve spent over $1k on the continued Slate sub and own nothing.
@@audiotoolshedMy other comment disappeared, anyway - I think it’s the best subscription that isn’t rent-to-own, especially after the SSL integration. It just sucks to have put over $1k (and counting) into their tools with zero ownership.
New king in the forest
Weird. No info on Slate Digital official page...
Yeah I dunno, I got the go ahead
They sent us an email earlier today announcing it
The way he said ping pong had me lol out lol

I have it in my slate digital connect app.
Nice! I'd love to know how it compares to the UAD one :)

Its a bit broader than just space delay, right? A re-201 shootout would make more sense.
This would be an interesting video.
Just subscription?

I like fancy animations ;-)

Not the best interface, but sounds good atleast.
But where's the mix knob?``
It's okay that you're sponsored as long as you disclose it. Please stop trying to justify it. Same comment for Dom Sigalas.
You know, if you don’t justify people will start using words like shilling and that sort bs.
@@audiotoolshedsad but true. At least you've proven to be honest.
@DeltaWhiskeyBravo13579 thanks man. That actually means a lot.
love it but its a shame only subscription based
Lets hope it will be for sale some day.
actual licesnse premanent 199 EUROS, overpriced!

I hope it’s exciting for a change.. I hardly use Slate anymore.
I really liked it, is actually the most useful re-201 emulation i have.
@@JohnFraserFindlay me either. I found slates emulations not as good as he had claimed. Above average but not exemplary imo
My RE-201 doesn't sound anything like this. The plugin sounds good + has 10x more options + no noise BUT it's not the Space Echo sound, AT ALL!

Subscription only. No thanks.
I think my slate subscription is the one i have for the longest. But then it suits my work and channel...
