I don't care what anyone says, there is no music today that will ever compare to the music from all those AMAZING years gone by!!!💕 To the days we thought would last forever, where have the years gone?😢💖
This song reminds me of the summer of 1974 at the beach where I practically lived, learning to swim and figuring out about life after the Viet nam war ended and I dropped out of college not knowing my future ! I saw the beauty of Gods creation, started reading the Bible cover to cover later becoming one of Jehovahs Witnesses dedicating my life to Him and never regretting my decision ! I await His kingdom where all suffering will end and paradise restored ! The best summer of my life !
When my Parents passed away 19 days apart in 2016, this was one of the songs we played for their services and funeral. I was balling and still get emotional when I hear this song. Each time it gets me. The woman still look fabulous and classy. These ladies have style and music back then was the best music ever. ❤️
This was my parent's song. My mom would even sing it to my dad. ❤️ On their anniversary they would always dance together to it. My mom passed on their anniversary in '98 and my dad passed in 2018. I always play it on their anniversary (Dec 17th). I agree it has brought me to tears many many times. These ladies truly are a class act! Beautiful song sung by three beautiful ladies.
@@Zyntax7 You and the original poster made me tear up. Beautiful sentiments. I think both of your parents are with each other again and that you will be reunited with your loved ones.
@@kennygismo6315 thank you for your kind words. It really was devastating for me and my family. My Mom went ill and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer she lived for 12 days. She was the main one taking care of my Dad who suffered a strokes many years ago. My Dad passed away of a broken heart. They are in Heaven together now. They are missed. It’s still hard around October through January. Holidays are still hard.
They've gotten older. But the Three Degrees are ageless when it comes to this song. This was one of the first songs I heard when I got an FM Stereo receiver for Christmas. The memory brings a happy tear or two to my eye.
The Legendary Three Degrees😊. All of them were super talented singers...Top performers who were always beautiul, always classy, always carried themselves with dignity and honor 😊💝🎶🔥
I was born in the 70's and i could still remember my Mom played this song many times in a turntable! No MTV!!! I could not outgrow it. Really love this song, its melody. Three Degrees is so nostalgic! How I wish Shiela still in the group. Valerie looks and still sounds great!!!

I absolutely love this song. The words are so beautiful, and sad. It brings my childhood right back to me. This was a huge hit, and was always on the radio. Thank you to this magnificent group of female singers.
Just Fabulous, Awesome and Classic Three Degrees. Thank you Helen, Valerie and Cynthia!!!! Love YA!!! This is one of my favorite songs that the Three Degrees sang over the years....I just love the music and I love the Three Degrees!!!

Love this song. These ladies do such a great job. (P.S. I wish whoever took the video would've spent a little more time showing us the two ladies on the sides. They are also important in this group!! And they've got the moves!)
tefnutbellsouthnet how true! So classy and distinguished. I see happy people in the audience and I wonder why we have no trouble with the white and black fans getting along beautifully. Music transcends barriers.
Saudades desta linda música na minha linda adolescência quando músicas como esta fizeram parte de nossas vidas na época e até hoje quando é tocada nos traz lindas recordações de um tempo maravilhoso que nós vivemos.
Nice performance, beautiful ladies. They Sound so lovely. I was hoping the camera would also focus on the other 2 ladies I barely got a glimpse of them.
I don't understand why people think when a lead singer of the group leaves, the remaining members shouldn't continue singing the hits. This was done beautifully and the current line up still does it justice.
Excuse me, but Helen Scott is the soprano on the left. Original member Valerie Holiday is the one in the middle leading the song in place of the departed Sheila Ferguson who originally did the lead. And Cynthia Garrison on the right replaced the late Fayette Pinkney.

Good for you. I was 16-17 and I had a GF and we thought we'd be together forever. Of course it didn't work out that way like it doesn't for 98% of everybody, but its good to know it did for somebody. In a way, you made it for all of us.
