    Thanks, Ahmed. It was a very useful video, which guides and explains how to use 'restart' in ABAQUS. :) Thanks.

    Hello Sir, Thank you for explaining ABAQUS in a very simple way. Best video I found on TH-cam.. also, Can you please make a video on the Masonry wall
    (Brick etc) and explain about the Brick-Mortar joint and points related to masonry units? Really need it..
    Thank you 🙂

    Thank you for the useful video
    I sudgest you put a donate option (patreon etc) in video description...since these sorts of workshop usually cost a lot and arent as useful or are comparable to your videos. Some people will recognize and donate probably :)

    Hello, first of all thank you for the nice and helpful tutorials you helped very much🙏🏼… I’d like to ask how we can apply lateral and vertical loads in beam column frame. Do you have any tutorials that you made ? Specially in steps and loads and boundary conditions.. thanks a lot 🙏🏼

    Thank you for this informative video.
    I have a doubt that if I use step-1 as a general static step and step-2 as a linear perturbation step for this case can we use the same restart procedure?

    hello, Dr. ahmed thanks alot for your great best effort, but could i have asking you about the explaining of the restarting job in explicit abaqus ( that you pointed to in your video #35), and what about the differences between it and standard abaqus?????? , at all thanks for helping us

    I wanted to suspend and resume the analysis as given in the Abaqus manual but when I'm entering it, it's not working.
    Tried more than 100 ways to get it right but I'm unable to suspend or resume the file. Suspend worked once but resume isn't happening showing format ['job', 'host', 'port'] and when entering saying "=" should come before ??

    ًWonderful content. I do ask you for a video on modeling soil with Cap model. Also a series on Autodesk Robot if this is feasible? There is a ton of videos for robot for the analysis part, but rarely does anybody show the complete step for design, at the end of analysis. Thanks in all cases.

    can we restart jobs ran with user subroutines?

  • @NaserKatanbafNezhad
    @NaserKatanbafNezhad ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi. The job has been aborted due Time increment required is less than the minimum specified. I have followed the instruction you had provided but when I am submitting the job, it says: #job name.res required to restart but it can not be find. do you have any suggestion?

    • @AElkady
      @AElkady  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to check the time increment for the analysis step and the time increment for saving the field variables

    Sorry Sir! Is it possible to restart the job when termination is due to less number of increment means that can i increase number of increment and restart it again? I appreciate your work may God bless you

    I got this error:
    ***ERROR: Error in *NSET/*ELSET: the set ASSEMBLY.CÁLICE._PICKEDSET138 already
    exists in the original analysis. It cannot be modified upon restart.
    ***NOTE: DUE TO AN INPUT ERROR THE ANALYSIS PRE-PROCESSOR HAS BEEN UNABLE TO
    INTERPRET SOME DATA. SUBSEQUENT ERRORS MAY BE CAUSED BY THIS OMISSION
    What can it be? Do you have any ideas to solve?

    • @AElkady
      @AElkady  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can not modify the original model geometry/sets when using the restart option.

    how about Job with Abaqus/dynamic /explicit? can be the same procedure?

  • @bonjoebeebello2560
    @bonjoebeebello2560 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for this! But what if, there are changes, for example additional reference point and history output but no changes in the model's geometry or mesh, how would I start again with the Job? Note, I already done with the Job Analysis, but realized that I need another history output and reference point.

    • @bonjoebeebello2560
      @bonjoebeebello2560 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only have Step-1.

    • @AElkady
      @AElkady  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There should not be an issue with adding a history output or a reference point. For you reference, ABAQUS manual states the following:
      "ABAQUS imports imperfection data through the user node labels. ABAQUS does not check model compatibility between both analysis runs. Node set definitions in the original model and the model with the imperfection may be different. Care must be taken for models in which ABAQUS generates additional nodes (for example, the nodes generated for contact surfaces on 20-node brick elements). In such cases you have to ensure that the models for both analysis runs are identical and that the nodal information for the generated nodes is written to the results file"
      That being said, I don't see a reason why the reference point can not be defined in the original model as well.

    I have to use multiple CPUs in my simulation. I tried the restart method but the restart model does not run. Any suggestion on this ?

    • @AElkady
      @AElkady  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure if number of CPUs affect the restart option, unless your Abaqus license has limits.
