I have the same problems with the standard pen, It prevents me from enjoying writing on the supernote and I'd like to write on it more, I'd like to get the heart of metal pen eventually. Thank you for making this video talking about the pens differences
Thank you for doing these videos! I noticed from other videos where they show the pen writing close up that the pen tends to click every time you write something, has that been the same experience for you? Every time you press the pen down and remove it it clicks?
@@stevemazza No, you can't. It's a right pain. Also, there's no side button. If I were choosing again, I'd go for the LAMY EMR pen, because of the inbuilt eraser button, and the better pen cap placement. Also, you can modify the tips with the LAMY. The HoM can be a slow pen to write with, as the nib kinda digs in. HoM is still excellent, but it definitely has drawbacks. Hope that's helpful.
Thanks for the great video, this really helped! :) Would you be able to speak to the writing experience when having to write small. For example, let's say you had a calendar template open and you have you write "doctor's appointment" in the tiny little box, what does the quality of the writing look like? I got my father a mobiscribe, and I tested what that would be like on that device but it was not very satisfying lol, it behaves odd, I can't really describe it. Still awaiting my supernote ax6 to arrive, so I thought I'd ask :) thank you again!
Thanks for the question. I think the pen is very responsive. What might also help with tiny writing is to decrease the pen thickness to the thinnest setting and it could help with the quality of the line.
I have few questions - What is writing feeling (sliding on surface) of both pens? Is there any difference? Do they both have the same tip/nib - I mean size and shape? Is it possible to use Samsung pen? Thank you.
They both have the same nib. It's hard to describe how the writing experience is. I'll probably make a video where I talk about that. I read online that some Samsung pens work, but I haven't tried.
For me best writing experience is offered by Boox Note Air pen, followed up by Samsung S6 lite pen...and then HOM pen. I know it's bit subjective, but that's how it is for me.
"standard pen"? Sounds like when you ordered they came with one, looking at their website now it is not mentioned in "included in the box". I find this laughable and preposterous and exactly why i won't support this company until they change that, although i really like the product itself. At the moment it is $300 for a6x, plus $50 for their cheapest pen, plus almost $50 for cover, plus tax, plus shipping... NO WAY! Plus it comes from China??? In other vid you talked about how this company wants to do things differently / better... I wish you went into more detail about what separates them from just-for-profit blood suckers like amazon and apple. I am not seeing it. Sure, amazon nastily subsidizes basic kindle reader to sell books... but this thing from china for way over $300??? Where are they incorporated, where do they pay taxes? Website says offices in Shanghai, Tokyo and LA... i guess i'll have to wait until this market becomes more competitive. But with my tablet and reader close to ten years old and feeling old now, i may soon have to choose smaller Samsung tablet instead, staying with regular displays for another decade or so. BTW, thank you very much for making and sharing these excellent vids, i enjoyed them very much and find them very helpful. I love the A6X from the research i did, but would hate myself spending this much on it.

You're welcome. I thought the standard pen would be a little better. It probably would be okay if I didn't have the Heart of Metal pen to compare.
Cool glad I’ve upgraded to metal of heart before my set has been shipped. Fountain pen aficionado here
Great video!
I'm ordering a supernote for my wife, and she has small hands. Now I know which one to strive to :).
another great insight in your experience
Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks 👍 I am waiting for my A5X
So am I 👍
I've been enjoying my A6X. I'm sure you'll have fun with the A5X.
This was helpful. Thank you.
I love this video. It reminds me of that "Wolf of Wall Street" scene. I ordered the pen.

Perfect video!! It’s helped me a lot. THANK YOU!!!!! 😁🙌
what about the Lamy pen
I haven't tried it.
Do you need to change ever nip on the metal pen?
Hi Chris, do you think this would damage the Boox note air? It feels really nice to use but wondered if you had tried that.
It will not :) I've been using it daily for almost 2 years (although with a screen protector)
From what I've read, the ceramic nibs will scratch non-Supernote screens (the Supernote has a built-in screen protector)
A lot of people have complained about the HoM Pen's durability. Have you experienced it breaking?
They paint on my HOM started chipping and flaking. The grey color is pretty much gone on the lower half. 😔
Can you "post" the cap of the HoM pen?
I'm not sure what you mean? Post?
@@paperless3739 posting is when you are able to put the pen cap on the back of the pen as opposed to laying it on the table.

Does the Heart of Metal Pen pen work with other tablets ?
Thanks for the great video, this really helped! :)

Thanks for sharing. I heard the Samsung pen is nice. I was going to try it, but I don't want to replace the nibs.
