I made my 1st one tonight and I have to say "You are a genius!!! I've had my scraps in page protectors for several years and each one is so bulky and hard to access what I need. This project inspired me to organize my scrap drawers. I didn't have all the supplies necessary so I ended up separating my scraps out into four general sizes, (under 3", 3-6", larger pieces and strips) I put each group into it's own page protector then put them back in the drawer. This works great for now until I have the time and supplies to make these pockets.

I have recently had a huge haul of scrap paper I got for free online second hand and I am in the process of sorting it all by colour. I also stick it in page protectors but there is way too much to use your method, plus I can imagine when I am trying to find just the right piece to use I would pull them all out anyway, so putting them back using your method would just be too much bother. It’s a nice idea, but I just think it’s too time consuming all around. I am wondering how other people are storing their scraps.
