makes me realize how ice fishing in particular has morphed into a video screen watching experience. is this a good thing or am i getting old and cranky. otoh i am watching this on a video monitor so i got nothing. amazing fishing!
You can view it two ways, 1. You watch a monitor, you still have to catch the fish. 2. You watch a monitor and educate yourself on fish behaviours and how they will react and respond. Sean edited it out, 20 fow you move your feet and the fish would spook below. I have learnt so much on fish behaviours from observing my monitor.
We included 38 walleye in the video 😉. Somehow my couple fish larger than Sean’s didn’t make the edit lol. Fishing is as much timing in the cycle of fish’s life as anything, this particular lake is a phenomenal fishery atm. I spend alot of my time monitoring cycles in fish, stocked trout are a little more dramatic, but it’s a large part of locating large fish.
@@FindingAdventure on the big windy pink glow was my winning colour. When perch fishing with tungsten pink glow hammers walleye as well as perch in Alberta.
Wesley’s $ ….. crazy how many fish you gies consistently have on that livescope like wah …. You think these fish would be on that spot like that pre ice ?
Awesome video. The reason I started watching is that I saw you guys holding the rod in the normal way. I can't watch anyone using that ridiculous pistol grip. Major thumbs up from me.
Keep at it, ask questions, take note. I spend way too much effort reading and watching weather, barometric pressure, moon… anything that could or would affect fishing. After 10 years of collecting notes you can start to build trends. Then you have to find the lake with the great fish, After that you hope it just comes together for you, We have lots of days and moments where we question our life choices. I look at it now as, if I go fishing and don’t learn something it’s not a successful day.
I moved to the Yukon I’m used to the dark, I was just getting Sean prepped to come visit. We had a set of the otter interior lights but we lost a lot of footage from night before with glare issues. Need to sort out some interior lights. Have any suggestions ?
I enjoyed the fishing and livescope footage but for the record I skipped ahead in the video to where you started fishing I’m not interested in you going to a store

Pink glow is the way to go
Wonder what pink looks like 20 ft down, red is the first color to be lost penetrating water, it probably looks like an opaque white glow

Great video
Where are you guys fishing ? Great Lakes?
Northern Alberta
