A TEE on tour in Switzerland

On October 11, 2019, SBB Historic arranged a public visit to the Stadler Rail factory in Bussnang, Switzerland. This video shows the excursion train used, a glamorous all first class Trans Europ Express set from 1961. This RAe TEE 1053 was rebuilt in 2003-2009. We see the train arrive in Olten for its outward journey, look over the driver’s shoulder while on the way to Bussnang, see the train maneuvering on the Bussnang platform, and watch out of the front window as the sun sets during the return journey. We get off the train in Zurich and catch it leaving the busy station’s lower level.
