Just for info we took the trip that started as these guys finished. We came on board at 17:00 on the 25th so the same day that this trip ended and we had four days in Vancouver tacked on at the end of our trip. It was great to see what we had seen albeit in the reverse order; Icy Bay, Tracy Arm, Petersburg, Wrangel and one of our stops was a very impressive Sitka. My wife and I can’t praise Hurtigruten enough. This was our first cruise with them and they were outstanding. The Phillipino restaurant team were among the best we’ve ever seen, engaging and professional. They made every meal time a special occasion. And we can’t forget the behind the scenes chefs who turned out impressive meal after meal. I could blather in but it’s not my blog and no none of our memories are on this site. I usually keep well away from telling our story on here, but to add just this little to the videographer; it’s even more impressive in the flesh and truly will rank upon one of the holidays of a life time. I heartily recommend it 👍🏻👍🏻
Too bad you didn’t get out and see our Kenai fjords area of Seward! Just as awesome as college fjord! Just saying. Oh been here in Alaska the past 42 years doing sightseeing tours on the water up here.😉
Thank you for posting, lovely video. Did you have a balcony room? Trying to decide if it's worth it to pay extra for the balcony or to spend the money on excursion. Any thoughts?
Hello Donna, thank you for your kind comment. We had a corner cabin (856) on the MS Roald Amundsen with a double aspect balcony which overlooked the starboard side and the stern. We did splash out a bit... There are less expensive cabins with balconies; you should definitely make sure that you can do some excursions though.
Hi. We were in Expedition Suite 856. Very spacious, and being on the corner, the balcony overlooked the stern and the starboard side. Very much a special treat with the private hot tub 😃.
That is the exact one i booked for Antarctica then. see they vary in size and going over things it looks like the 8th floor is the best value. If you have video of it I would make a 1 minute on it as no one has anything on the corner units. Thank you for the reply. One other question do you know if they sell the wool blankets on the bed? I really want one after I complete the expedition. @@F70100
Très beau voyage, bien filmé, belle musique - voyage prévu. merci de ce partage
Great video, we are thinking of booking a similar trip for next year so very interesting and useful for us.
Thank you Vicky, hope you manage to fix something up. I’m sure you will have a great time.

@@donna187 Have fun 👍
I look forward to seeing your video.
Hello, could you tell me the room number you stayed in? We just booked the 800's and looking at 9 and 7 they seemed like smaller rooms? Thank you
