  • Zach and I decided to try biking in to the Blue Pool for our first visit! We left from the Trailbridge Reservoir parking area. The ride in was tough! Probably could only ride about 40% of it on the way in due to the slight incline and abundance of lava rock.
Once to the Blue Pool I threw on my Riffe 7mm DigiTek Wetsuit and spent a little time freediving the pool before taking a jump off of the dry waterfall. The water was cold but well worth the effort to be able to spend some time checking it out.
On the way back to the reservoir the riding was much more manageable with the trailing running mostly downhill from the pool. I would say we rode 80% back through heavy rain and mud.
All shot on Gopro Hero3+ Black set to 1080 @ 60fps.
Out of water shots at the pool were helped by a FeiyuTech Wearable Gimbal.

How thick was your wetsuit? Also, what time of year did you do this and how cold did it feel with the suit? I'm thinking about doing this on my roadtrip with my 5/4/3mm surf wetsuit and 3mm booties in May

Chase Gardner it wasn't too bad! The Riffe suit I have is awesome and I hardly ever get the chills in it.

King Tea absolutely, the water is very cold so it's difficult to swim in without a suit.

Next time make a video of the pool not the diver. We want to see what the diver sees, not what the diver looks like.
