    The worst part is, it seems as though it's being covered up. In Jarno's clip, he mentions that he's been staying quiet for the whole season and most importantly, he notes that the whole grid has. So it's known what is probably going on but nobody is saying anything.

    • @matthewvaughan8192
      @matthewvaughan8192 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      It doesn't indicate a 'cover-up' in any way. It's just sound career advice from his engineer because if it turns out that he's wrong and Ronhaar is legit, it's officially libel. And if it furthermore turns out that Ronhaar lost sponsorship or opportunities from Jarno's comments, it's officially a lawsuit that will costs thousands just to defend.

  • @QwoaX
    @QwoaX ปีที่แล้ว +12

    I'm only 99% convinced. Knowing Codemaster's games, there can be a weird way to gain an advantage, similar to the 60 FPS thing with the kerbs still going on.
    It could be any graphics setting, the resolution, input setting, which GPU brand or driver version he is using etc. or just an extremely weird setup.
    If you found an unfair but legal advantage you want to make sure you'll hide it for as long as possible, despite cheating allegations.
    Edit, add to the list: being CPU or GPU limited.
    One game I play behaves a lot different in either case, so you'll not want to be GPU limited unless you run well above 100 FPS.

    so, i'ma play devil's advocate here but i'm just think that the grip guy is just taking big adventage compared to the other drivers of the neutral steering. if you compare the two clips, you see the mercedes guy tends to understeer or oversteer depending on the turn, and the hass guy tends to go as much as straigh line on the corner exits, and also tends to not turn excesively in each corner, so that's why you see a little bit of grip difference at the end of each turn, so, if you do that in every corner at the end of the lap you could get a decent laptime difference compared to other. I'm not trying to say that the other Esport drivers doesn't do that, but i think that guy just has a refined wheel control and just do that in a very solid efficient way compared to others so, if you see a video when he get his line disturbed by a dive bomb or a contact, he has less grip, but when he starts to get in rhytm again and regain his line, he starts to gain milisecs that at the end result in a few tents of adventage. That said, i'm not a Ronhaar's fan, i'm just trying to be impartial in my opinion about that considering he hasn't been caught actually cheating so far

  • @LEGOpachinko

    no hate, but imo what kinda points towards it is how quickly he gets on the throttle out of corners, which points to levels of rear grip that the cars in F1 22 don't have, because his inputs look more like those of a real car, which isn't (or shouldn't) be the case here. though then again, i'm no expert on Esports setups, and jarno is almost as quickly (but not as quickly as thomas) on the power.

    A buddy of mine works at EA on the F1 team and they said that it's an internal debate, too. They're not allowed to say anything to the outside world but if I read between the lines, they are fully capable of implementing an anti-cheat system (but they won't do that retroactively, because money); they also have ways to look at race logs and see if the driving matches up with what should be possible (again, reading between the lines here; I was getting the impression that they know he's cheating for the full 100%)... and they also seem to know how the cheat works. It's a simple cheat where he's, probably, maybe, perhaps, tweaking some settings with minor differences. He could have .1% more traction, .1% more speed, .1% less fuel usage, and many other tiny tweaks that will add up to a massive advantage.
    But yes, innocent until proven guilty. We won't see that happening though, not for this iteration of F1 22. Even if he's caught, he'd just say "well it's not cheating unless you're caught, just like in real F1 where teams constantly try to be clever." And that is a point you cannot argue with. Ferrari cheated a few years ago, and teams are constantly trying to find loopholes. They say "oops haha", take a penalty, and carry on with life as if nothing happened.
