- I had zero expectations going to Kiangan and I was blown away. We were fortunate enough to have experienced the Bakle Festival, something not a lot of people who aren't from there, have ever gotten to experience. We were the few fortunate ones. Salamat Kiangan.

Just recently watched Ninong Ry's 1M subscribers celebration and I'm really fascinated with your personality Chef. I consider you as a celebrity since I grew up watching you on TV. Tbh I'm not a fan of celebrity turned to vlogger but as I've watched your vlogs or mini food crawls on facebook, I've determined that you really have a good and genuine heart. Now I have 2 top chefs in the world (You and Ninong Ry) not just because how they cook but who they are as a cook. Hope to see you soon, Chef.

Kiyangan! I knew it! Place looked familiar but never seen it from above so I didn’t recognize it but had a familiarity to it lol. My hometown. Gratitude to all that welcomed yall. Shout out to Mrs. de Castro my high school teacher who led the prayer. Haggiyo! Mattagu tagu taku am-in.
Now this makes me want to pack up and head back to Kiangan. Thank you Chef JP for showcasing our hometown. This makes me miss Kiangan even more even though I am in Baguio right now, so near yet so far due to obvious reasons. I hope that you enjoyed your stay in our humble town.
Chef JP, thank you for liking our food in the Cordilleras. Our food indeed is simple. We do not use aromatics and a lot of spices.

Nun unang lock down, si ninong ry lng napapanuod ko na nakakaaliw. Hanggang sa napad pad ako sa fiesta in a box palabas ni Erwin, nakita ko kau together with other chefs, simula nun pinapanuod ko na mga videos nyu, nakakaaliw chef. daming natututunan, very inspiring. Lalo na nun na feature ang beloved hometown ko which is the cordillera, dami kong natutunan na pwede kong iapply at pwedeng pag laruan sa lutong bahay.
Lalim talaga ng tradisyon sa Ifugao, and especially Kiangan. Looking forward to seeing part 2 up!!
Chef JP you are such a storyteller that compelled me to complete this series. An opener that there is more up in the upper regions. This is the first time to hear all these heirloom dish.
