I love it too I work on my own projects with a cup of tea and feel like it's a group of us just chatting (I will admit when you question what they want to do I answer and sometimes disagree and more often than not I am wrong, but that could be because I can just about do the basics 😀)
Love the clips of waiting for the yarn. 😊😂. This is such a beautiful pattern. So talented. I have started back crocheting and been doing it 7 yrs now. My granny taught me as a child to crochet and watching your videos has brought me alot of refreshers and showed me new things as well as tips. I miss her so much. Thank you.
I’m re-watching the whole tutorial. I cannot believe how beautiful your work is. I tried using a small hook. I have a ten pack of Yonky monkey but my eyes won’t work with me…not even w/my glasses. I have been crocheting since I was 15 (around there), I’ll be 65 in July. BUT I’ve only crocheted with yarn and larger hooks. I’m bummed that I cannot focus on the damn stitch pattern! Nevertheless, I will continue watching you. I love your mystery patterns and every video that you’ve made thank you so much! And yes! Monkey yarn is a bit “splitty”. Love the feel of it tho. This is a masterpiece! You’re a pro no doubt. I’ve picked up a lot of tips from just watching you-tips that weren’t mentioned in your tutorials, just from watching you do your thing! Lol xxoo

I have only been crocheting for a few months, so I’m not ready yet for a project like the ones on this channel-but I’ve learned much from watching, and it’s encouraging to see that others, far more skilled than i, also sometimes shirk the pattern for preference! Thank you for this homage to the pieces our grandmothers and great-grandmothers would have worked. Just beautiful!
No pressure, it will come by itself. If you got a "flow" of how and what this or that means you are going to do your projects, for sure. Crochet is such an adictive craft.
Etsy has the original yarn for sale. It’s a shiny boucle yarn but looks more like lace/heavy lace with some twist. Posh yarns Robbin lace or her heavy lace would be a good dupe. Cheap version - Bernat baby boucle
So i fell asleep at the very end n am reviewing. But i also just tore out close to half my skirt because i wasnt liking the trumpet drape. Almost done reworking it. Looks like i will be measureing the doll to get my back/front pieces. Flowers might be a problem as i practiced this over the summer n those got pretty tiny, almost micro tiny. Shocked me greatly that i could do that, then i didnt use them instead i made ittybitty bows on a fork. 🙄. Think i just couldnt makeup my mind which style of roses i liked better. Who knew there were so many ways to crochet a rose! 😆
This is phenomenal!! I’m enjoying your video and explanation very much. I almost think I could do this. Written directions make my head spin. The last thing I crocheted was a lace baby blanket. The third one I made, I diagrammed it out so I never have to decipher the directions again. You figure out the directions so well, and seeing you do the stitches makes it clear. I’ve never heard of a Solomon’s stitch. Lovely.
Lol I like the waiting part, funny, great idear. I would wish that yarn to be less white, ecru or off white or creme or beige or something. The great thing is, you learn so much and can use it for future projects, the body part is going to make a nice jacket by its own. Can you dye this yarn or yarn in paticular? Never tried, so a nother project to ad.
This is a true work of love, a huge commitment! Your work is so beautiful. And I love watching a piece take shape. Very enjoyable to watch this project - and your wait. BTW - it was frustrating for us to wait for your yarn to arrive too! Can't wait to see the finished gown! Thank you!
OMG, I can't wait to see this done. I want to skip to the end of part 4 to see it, but I won't. I'll be a good old lady and watch from start to finish. You do beautiful work. I wish I would have found your channel sooner. Not one of my kids ever wanted to crochet and I had a sale and no one bought my old patterns so I through a lot of very old patterns away. I will look through my things this summer and see if I can find any that I kept. I would love for you to have them if I find any. I'm just sick now that I pitched them. I can no longer crochet because I have broken my back for the 7th time and yes that is 7, not an error. But as soon as the weather warms up and I can get around better I will look for them. Fingers crossed I find a bunch still in my stash.
you are gonna loveeeee the end :) , and thank yo so much, I will have a P.O. Box soon ( when I can afford one of those lol ) , I super appreciate that , I treasure old patterns
I adore your videos! Idk if I'll ever make any of these but I've definitely borrowed some stitches and Design elements. I learn a lot from watching these and as a person with aspergers and adhd you make very complicated and overwhelming patterns easy to understand! So thanks ^.^
Absolutely gorgeous. I am surprised as to the detailed construction but you have worked it out so nicely. I am finding that I enjoy the finished project better when I pay attention to the details. As to the yarn splitting, I have found that if I use a different hook, it often resolves itself. I don't know if it is the tip of the hook or how I hold it. I now have several complete sets of hooks so I am able to test out different hooks. My Clover hooks cause splitting in several different yarns so then I just go to a cheaper hook and use it for that project. I agree about leaving long tails. Since I now have the large eye needles, I can easily weave in to my hearts content. I loved the editing while you were waiting for your extra yarn to show up. lol
Oh my god - that’s such a beautiful piece!! Also, I’m looking for a nice thin yarn that’ll hold up decently, more specifically a lace yarn or a fingering weight yarn. Do you know any good ones?
Hi, there’s so many…..maybe take a look at Lion Brand, they carry cottons, mercerized will last the longest, they also carry silk city fibers by the cone.
Just noticed your yarn is 50 %bamboo50% cotton, bamboo does tend to split, ive tried it with knitting had to give up,but your dress will drape beautifully
This dress would make a beautiful wedding dress!🤗
Just amazing! Thank you for doing this. I love how you don’t just talk but talk to us as if we are there with you!
I love to hear that , that is exactly what I wanted ❤️

Wow this dress is getting better and better. It is very interesting how they put it together.

and thank you :)
Question, for my waist size I chained 192 which worked for the skirt, but how many do I chain for the blouse so it would look right?
I followed you all the through till part 3. Can't find part 4.
What happen no yarn?
Part 4 will be up in about 10 min , it’s scheduled for 10 am
Can you please make Vivienne Westwood 1993 knit dress tutorial??

@@delladearest2511 thank you!!
@@delladearest2511 do you know which one works for swimsuits?
@@mamascrafts13 not sure but maybe it should be a blend with cotton. Not all acrylic as it will stretch out after machine wash and dry
do not use Twilley's gold Fingering. it drops like you would not believe.
It's looking so beautiful!! about how long does it take you to finish a piece like this?
Thank you! , this took me 11 days , and I don't work outside the home, so I was able to work on it up to 8 hours a day

So where it crosses over would be a fitting chance.
