I was able to hold myself back and not add gold this time! Who is proud of me? Lol
Do some delicate gold. Those details are heavy and would easily get overdone. A little at a time, then some gold wax if it’s too heavy, you can always wipe it back.
That's so funny. First time viewer here and I kept thinking with the gorgeous details on that piece she's gonna gold foil and gild the heck out of it and it'll be awesome. Well it IS awesome even without gold. Do you have a spray gun tutorial? I got one for Christmas but I'm kinda scared of it.
@@katharinecox5200 yes I do! Here is my spray gun video link th-cam.com/video/iv_PyArMtUo/w-d-xo.html
I believe in doing whatever you want to do with a piece of furniture, whether it is restoring or painting! Whatever it takes to keep furniture out of garages and landfills is what it's all about! Love how this turned out...great job!
I agree! Thank you!
Agreed!! You took the words right out of my mouth 😊
This comment is HUGELY underrated. I'm glad it's not in land fill being eaten by bugs or rotting. In another 100 years, someone can choose to strip the paint off, and the wood will still be there.
If only every piece of furniture was this fabulously vibrant!
The world would be full of so many beautiful colors 💚
Choosing that green was bold, but you knew what you were doing! The dark glaze and the gloss❣️❣️❣️ SO GOOD!
Love your creations
🙏
Thank you so much!! 💚🖤
The moody green is absolutely gorgeous! 💚🖤
💚🖤
Wow!!! That is so beautiful!! I love color not brown so I enjoy seeing the pieces redone in boldness!
Thank you so much!
Oh my gosh, that’s beautiful!!!
@@barbaramcclure536 Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Luv luv luv ❤️ your boldness on this one. Thanks for sharing your techniques.
You are so welcome 💚🖤
Absolutely stunning!!💚💚🖤💚💚 thank you for sharing 😊
💚🖤
Love how the piece turned out! Went from dark and gloomy to modern and chic.
💚
Absolutely Gorgeous. LOVE the green!
Thank you 💚
Big improvement the detail is so much more visible.
💚🖤
Love the black powder glaze in all the details. This piece is definitely not brownie frowny anymore! 💖💖💖
😂 browny frowny. Thank you 💚🖤
Omg, I love the green with powder glaze!
Thank you 💚🖤
Stunning piece! Although I don't like that shade of green that is so trendy, you made me love this piece! Gorgeous! Your technique made all the beautiful details pop! It made the piece much more interesting than before! Excellent candidate for the challenge! Thanks so much for sharing
Thank you so much!
Hated the green at first… loved the finished product. Excellent work ❤
Thank you 💚🖤
Wow! I absolutely love how this turned out. 😁
Thank you so much!
I did think to myself what’s going on here, but my goodness it turned out lovely. So very well done xx
Thanks so much 😊 💚🖤
Oh this dresser is so beautiful; love the color and the special treatment makes all the indentations on the dresser pop!

I have said it before You are an Artist! I love watching you do your magic! Watching your videos makes me realize how much time and work goes into this type of work! Stay Awesome Sab!
Thank you so much Mark! I even doubted myself with that first coat of green. 😂
@@SabsRehabs Always go with your gut instinct! At least try new and bold things. As in this it turned out Amazing!
Wow! That was a surprising journey, but it looks awesome!
It was! And thank you! 💚🖤
I love love LOVE this so much Sab! It sings to me. Green is my favourite of all
💚🖤
This is gorgeous Sab! Never saw powder glaze used before. Beautiful result and I love how shiny it is! Hardware is the perfect choice!
Thank you 💚🖤
Amazing! was skeptical at first because of the style, but the result is just great!
Thank you 💚🖤
Wow! That is beautiful. I admit the grassland gave me pause. But adding the powder glaze made all the difference. Lovely piece and as always shows your amazing talent. 😜
Thanks so much 😊
I love how this turned out, but green is my favorite color. It's so much more interesting and pretty than it was before. Too bad I don't have room for it!
Thank you! I wish I had space for it too. 😂
Love it! Love it! love it!
Thank you!!💚🖤
Oddly, I love the moody green! The bureau is absolutely stunning!
Thank you 💚🖤
That’s a beauty 👌

Absolutely stunning!! Beautiful job!! Loving that color!!!
Thank you so much!
Wow! That powder glaze makes this piece stand out! It’s a lot of work/steps but it turns out amazing!
Thank you! 💚🖤
I didnt think i would like the green, but with the glaze it looks beautiful.
Thank you 💚🖤
I gasped at first, BUT I LOVE IT!
Thank you 💚
John Deere Green, 😜 and it looks fantastic
Thank you 💚🖤
Wow! Great job!
Thank you!
Wow, great job🦋
💚🖤
I was a little skeptical about the green, but after the powder glaze and top coat--it's beautiful!!
Thank you 💚🖤
Thatsactually pretty dope. Its got a pop art vibe about it. And in another 100 years it can be stripped back to wood if the style of the time changes, and it will be preserved from light and moisture.
Thank you!
I am shocked. I did not think I would like this once I saw the green, but this turned out fab .I am all for painting wood by the way. I like to save it too. I think everyone should do what their vibe tells them to do. Great job!
Thanks so much 😊 💚🖤
I love this, it's gorgeous!
Thank you!
Love love love this! The color is so fun! Great job as always.
Thank you so much! 💚🖤
Absolutely gorgeous 😍 ❤️ Fantastic job!!
Thank you!
Loooove it!! Yes, stunning!!!
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful
Thank you
BEAUTIFUL
Thank you! 😊 💚
Ohhh I freaking love it!!
Thank you 💚🖤
Painting was the right choice.
I’d love to find out how quickly this sells.
I am currently testing out higher pricing with this piece so it may sit longer but I will definitely update when it sells.
Omg I was expecting a dark green almost freaked out when I saw your green I was very sceptical after two coats but wow what a difference the powder coating made I've never seen that applied before it's amazing your piece looks fantastic what a show piece it's new home will be lucky to have it . Saved from landfill and many more year's left in it . Well done I love to watch you work as I never know what's going to happen I always love a surprise thanks so much for sharing with us. 💞💞
You and me both! I surprise myself too 😂.
Very stunning piece. Q. Wouldn't black wax accomplish the same effect as the powder coat but with less mess?
Basically. The powder glaze shows up bolder/thicker without having to cake it on. So black wax will do the same just not as heavy of the black part
@@SabsRehabs thank you for the info and responding .
Gorgeous💃🏻😉💃🏻
Thanks 🤗
If you put it in a place so drab and devoid of color, then you're right to paint it that hue of green. 🌻
Did you paint the underside of the buffet though?
😂 Buy it and find out!
@@SabsRehabs Look, I'm just saying... Sometimes I like to lay down on the ground right at the base of my furniture and if I look under there, I want to see it finished okay? Geez.
@@ThatShabbyGuy 😂😂😂
This is huge, love your work!❤
Thank you 💚🖤
Hi sabrina, the painted piece is magnificent. The obviously ordinary wood which this sideboard is crafted from does not do it justice. Pieces like this should be crafted in solid Walnut or Rose wood to give it value and credit to being kept wooden. Your remake of this piece inn the green is truly lovely and I hope that whomsoever purchases it gives it a center stage in their house
Thank you 💚🖤
Love it!!!
💚🖤
Hmmmm.. at first when I saw the color being sprayed I hated it, but with the shading and black handles and the finish I like the concept! The shade of green is still not something I ‘d go for, I’d prefer it darker and less vibrant, but I surprisingly was quite into the final look!! Great video😊
Thank you
very nice
Thank you 💚🖤
OMG you saved this piece! A brave choice of color, but certainly the best choice ever! Icannot imagine this piece looking better than this!
Thank you so much! 💚🖤
that would make a wonderful kitchen island, with all those drawers!! I like the color better than wood, but if you had painted it a mid tone periwinkle blue and then powder coated, would be gorgeous!!!!! But that is my personal favorite, I would take it in a new york minute....I have this dream of an unfitted kitchen, that piece in the color I love, with a stile stone (quartz) top in white would be my work island, all those lovely drawers, the height, but I think I might even put some heavy lockable wheels so I would move it around as I would need it.......I don't mind painting pieces that are not true antiques, and even those that are antique may have no other choice but to paint them, the whole key to furniture is to make a piece work for you in this day and age, make use of it keep it out of the dump...if furniture had a consciousness, I think a piece would love an up-do, she would be happy for that face lift, and the most important thing is paint can be removed, so no harm, no foul to me, but girlllllll I thought, when you picked out that st patrick green, I thought, oh dear, she hasn't been wearing her face mask lately and making questionable choices, LOL but then I thought, no this girl has always got a plan, just wait, and yep I was right....like I have been telling my favorite flippers,..."you put lipstick on a pig and made a beauty queen!" loved it.
😂😂😂 thank you! I love the periwinkle blue as well. It's a gorgeous color
How would you compare the look of a painted on and wiped off glaze to the powder glaze.
I feel like the powder glaze is a bolder contrast from the paint color versus just a glaze
awesome!
Thanks! ❤️
Can a I use a shopvac to clean up the black powder?
Yes!
I looks great
Just a question, given that I don’t have a spray booth or sprayer, can I use dark wax to achieve the highlight effect of powder glaze??
Yes. It won't be quite as dark in the black areas, but still the same idea
LOVE IT
Thank you
I admit I am not a fan of bright green ... until now. I am very pale, I always felt bright greens made me appear to almost glow-in-the-dark. Initially I thought you would select a luscious emerald green but no - you selected the perfect green. This piece is breathtakingly gorgeous. I do appreciate and prefer the unexpected, being predictable is boring. This piece is the opposite of boring.
Thank you 💚🖤
Class😘what's the brand of the paint spray are you using please? Thank you ❤️
Behr Enamel paint for cabinets
i like yourother paint choices better rather than green
I like your other comments better rather than this one 😉
just WoW!!!!!
💚
Hey my friend why don’t you just try using stain to antique it and then a clear coat to seal it I believe I’d use oil based stain less work I think
Yes, it is easier. I have a few videos of me using stain glaze. I just like to show all the different options to achieve a look
WOW 🤯
💚🖤
Honestly, I have to get used to the color first. But it did look a lot better after you put the powder stuff on it. Like I said, I have to get used to the green first but your work is like always amazing.
Thank you 💚🖤
No ventilation? What about all the dust in the air?
My garage shop door is open and I have an industrial sized air filtration system in my shop
@@SabsRehabs What about sunscreen?
@@ThatShabbyGuy I think my latex body suit covers it 😂
Gorgeous piece but a limited potential client base. I wish people weren't so afraid of color.
Me too 💯
❤
It looks nice but I am not a green girl
To each their own
The only thing that upsets me is taking a beautiful old vanity apart to make night stands. I have cried over a few videos.
I have done that once for a client and it heart my heart, but they did turn out to be beautiful nightstands for their daughter.
I really did not love that green😢!
I really did not like your comment
I really preferred the before… sorry.
That's okay. It was gorgeous to begin with
😂thats an awful colour choice for such a piece, sorry
What an awful comment when there is also a chance to concentrate on positive. Instead of being a dick and telling people what you don't like try something new and maybe tell them what you do like. Also, don't say sorry when you really don't mean it.
NEVER paint over wood unless it is cheap pine and has flaws that can be repaired with wood filler. Paint hides the natural beauty of the wood grain which is highly desirable. Especially high end quality wood. Moreover, colors limit your market. Natural wood grains open up the demand for everyone.
It's veneer Fred, not some high end wood. Calm down. Furniture companies have been fooling people out of their money for years using veneer over cheap cheap wood
I would not buy the piece as it was before, but would buy it now!
It's only a piece of furniture calm down I wouldn't of looked at it before now it makes a statement looks fantastic 💚💚🖤🖤
Oh calm down you old biddies! That’s my opinion just like you have yours! Don’t get your granny panties in a bunch! 🙄
The color is horrible!
I know, that brown was terrible!
