Always good to see these huge aircraft carriers in port especially in the evening with the sunset and modern lighting.

Hi Raymondo 👋 !! Thanks for this great account of the start of your trip. Visually, a very good time of day to set sail for St Malo, a lovely sunset experience. We loved St. Malo, (but that was a long time ago - we went by hydrofoil from Jersey.) So looking forward to seeing it again now 😊👍. Cheers, Don 🙋‍♂️ !!

St Malo will be at the very end of this adventure Don! On the crossing back! We have done this trip a few times and also the catermaran both ways to Cherbourg which is one of my popular uploads with a comment from one of the captains! Actually that ship now runs under condor from Guernsey to st malo yes it’s the perfect time to
Set sail however it is an overnight crossing which may not appeal to all!

Hi mate yes 👍🏼 it’s always cool leaving Portsmouth and when the aircraft carriers are in its even more fun to see! Only ever seen one other and that was at Fort Lauderdale during US Navy week! It was the USS Ronald Reagan

I remember getting massively sunburnt on the beach in St Malo and I wasn't even sunbathing as I don't do sunbathing lol. Nice views in Portsmouth with a lovely looking Sunset. Made it look very pretty, especially all the lights reflecting in the water. My son moved to Portsmouth for Uni. Glad he came back and went to Worcester instead 😆 Too far to travel for frequent visits. Looking forward to the rest of the vids.😊

Hi 👋 yes I filmed this in the hot weekend we had in August! Never sailed in such warm weather before! We left the port shorts and tee and never had to put a jumper on even at 10pm when we were just going around Isle of Wight! Getting bad sunburn is a memory you never forget is it! I remember getting bad sunstroke in Portugal 🇵🇹 never forget walking into the pub and asking for water instead of beer! Barman thought I was mad lol 😂

You've been hanging around France a lot lately lol. Wonderful shots of the Navy and the best weather.
    Just wonderful.
I enjoyed this atmosphere. ATB Peter 🤠🇩🇪👍

Thanks Peter yes the weather was perfect for the sailing! It’s not always this way that’s for sure! Some days it’s been really bad but this was perfect!

Your ferry boats are huge, I guess they would be going from country to country. We have a few up in Puget Sound that are about that size. Thanks as always.

Cheers Joe! Yes all of our ferry’s are big but being an island they are essential! Have a cafe and a bar so all good! 😊

See what you mean about the police boats..!!!!!!! 😮.. lots to see there just leaving port...i wouldn't know where to point my camera..!!!!

😂 see told you! They were really on it making sure no boats got close! If you were far away you may have been ok 👍🏼 but I have a personal story about my time in Cyprus getting stopped by Turkish military for taking photos when in actual fact it was my gps for geocaching! This was at famagusta! If it was a camera I would have been charged with spying! Guns pointed at me and made to lay of floor while checking my devices! They asked a lot of questions that day
