The Grin of the Dark - The main character goes to the Harris Library in Preston a place I've been to many a time and I knew exactly where and who the character was discribing lol. Akthough the ending did confuse me somewhat.
Just getting acquainted with RC, and must admit I'm already quite obsessed. Demons by daylight blew me away and I'm about to tuck into Incarnate. Holes for faces and Dark Companions is next.
I love Ramsey Campbell, one of my favourite writers, but I just noticed you have The Bone People by Keri Hulme on the shelf. What a strange book, but I loved it.
So cool! I've got a nice little collection of the US editions of his '80s paperbacks myself. DARK COMPANIONS and DOLL are my faves, have yet to read FACE or HUNGRY MOON...
