I'm making a post apocalyptic world where the main character is a guide for the dead, guiding them to the afterlife. the whole world is dying and there is no saving it. The guide helps the souls to death or the gate of the afterlife, helping them accept that the world has ended and there is no saving it. It's cold, silent, and even beautiful, no war, no life, no suffering.
That genuinely is such a clever and original idea. You should definitely try to get it published if you haven’t already. Props to you for coming up with an idea like that.
This is so helpful, I'm writing a sort of apocalyptic and dystopian teen fiction novel and I'm so excited to be creating a new world for these characters. Thank you!
I have no experience in writing a book , but my wish is I can write one some day , it would be with my own drawings because I am very good at draw . Ofcourse it would be post apocalyptic world with zombies but also mutated animals . the book would have unique characters , a dad main character where he is searching for his daughter and wife in this crazy world , but it will not be that easy to find them , it will take years , happy ending ,or maybe not . where the main character must train , learn new things on how to make bikes , crazy cars , everything he can find, parts that has been left of military , police stations . the book would be so different that people would not even call that a book 🙂 . but I hope one day I can make that happen , I have story in my head , but ofcourse changes will be made trough time .
I would love to help you with your book! I'm writing a book myself, and I would say my zombie book is different than the most if not all zombie books/movies, it has a bit of everything! And a piece of advice, read books of that genre, and learn from those book writers on how they write, and put words together, also watch tons of videos about how to write books, that's how I started, and I would love to talk about great ideas with you! 🙏🏼

I always hated books, then something inside of me changed. I am going to attempt at writing a book that starts off in a natural disaster then a zombie apocalypse, with smart characters Idk why people dumb there characters down its so off putting to me but as they advance through they're on a mission to re populate the human race starting with 5 to building a home base to eventually running out of bullets to learning how to fight in the art of the Roman legion it's going to be epic, full of suspense mystery love wits hate heartbreak and anger. This video helped me get a more understanding of how the writing structure goes thanks sir great video! And its the journey to civilisation is the epic tale im going to write for you.
I'm currently writing a "post apocalyptic" revenge story. For volume 1 of my 1st comic book. I was happy with my world. But, I made a city for the characters to go in for one chapter. And i'm not sure if I should cut it out of the story or not.
Wow that sounds really exciting mate! I see, depends what you think would be missed if you cut it out? What does the chapter serve? And what does being in the city serve? Is it crucial to setting up your world? I have characters in a town that isn't visited again, to help craft and shape how the reader sees the world from page one (my prologue)! So it served as a good opening for myself 😊 using it in a prologue also helped me reason with it being a one time location as well, because it's separated from the main story! Maybe yours is the same situation! Best of luck!
What kind of city is it? I mean is it abandoned and inhabited only by zombies? Does it have pockets of survivors ? Or is it a reclaimed city where a settlement has been established?
I'm writing one about a couple four years after the apacolypse happened. They were just about out of high school when it all happened. They have a four year old child with them also. I've been a fan of that show since it started so I've been trying to make a book with a similar zombie spread since. 😂
Im starting to write a post apocalyptic book novel, I dont know a name for it yet but, the scenario would be: -Eternal Nuclear Winter (a classic ik) -Fictional earth like planet -Self dialog -Some details (to let imagination take its course) -bandits, factions, lightly mutated animals blah blah blah (nothing original) But I do hope my book will make a sensation worldwide with people making a video game and a movie about it, I would die happy
I'm planning on making an apocalyptic book where a Chernobyl-like disaster happened and it didn't turn people into zombies but the radiation is affecting the insects and then they go onto humans and then they turn into zombies. Eventually they have to escape to the ocean and basically become pirates. That's basically a plan I have for my zombie book
I'm writing a post-apocalyptic novel called Soul Survivor. It's about a fox kit named Silver who wakes up after a nuclear bomb strike. With all of her friends and family dead and the world in ruins, Silver must find a way to survive in this harsh new reality. I am more than open to suggestions!
Sorry this comment is very late, but a suggestion! Ooh good question! I mean if the guy was alive and remembered the world before then I guess technically it's post-apocalyptic? Because the timing would have been recent from the events within his life time. Post-post tends to be set when a generation of people or more have passed on I'd say!
The only question is i have more of the characters talking to each other and im always saying, "Laura said or Laura replies. Is that alright? If theres alot of conversations in it
I have a question, I am writing a short post apocalyptic story but it's based in a after cold war gone hot scenario. Anyways, so my question is would it make sense for remnants of NATO and the USSR/Warsaw pact to keep the fight going even after a dangerous nuclear war?
Hi CJ Hatter! Hmm that's a good question and would entirely depend on where the nuclear bombs detonated. Essentially, if Governments collapse it's likely groups like NATO and the USSR would stay together; main reason being is that the soldiers are no longer getting paid to fight - meaning lack of morale and the desire for soldiers to return back home to loved ones. If nukes didn't go off, let's say France, it's been the French still have structure, money and hopefully communications to keep the war fighting. Time is also an important factor here - if it's all fresh, perhaps regiments in the war zones won't know about their government collapse until a few days or weeks later... So they'd continue to fight until they stop getting communication from the top. So it'd be likely that there are pockets of fighting still going on but it's all dependent on your world building 😊 I hope that helps!
@@DanHook You actually gave me an idea with regiments not being aware of their government collapsing and still fighting, obviously the idea will be stated in the early post war period. But during the main characters introduction small and sometimes big pockets of both sides will remain. Some pockets will have multiple armies in one like a French and American force or a Russian and East German force. Also, would it be semi realistic if they had working tanks still?
@@cj16423 Glad to have helped! Another point you could also consider would be conflict between American and French troops - if the US gets nuked and the chain of command fails, but no nukes were dropped in France, the French will want to continue fighting and assume control of the US forces. However some members in that US force would want to get back home, especially if they aren't hearing from their own government or the pay cheques stop coming! And you could definitely have tanks still operating. Of course, you'd have to have a tank crew who knows how to operate and maintain it. They'd have to search of specific tools to keep it running, and also be cautious not to use too much fuel.
