I would go to all the target areas that interest you but here in Xela is good and the locals are used to dealing with gringos, but I would seriously check out the Coban area Peten might be a little more dangerous.

One funny thing you need ID for is buying fried chicken online, ja ja. Specifically at Pollo Campero I mean, which is a probably better [?] restaurant like KFC. You can still buy whatever through Pedidos Ya, which is like Uber Eats just by downloading the app. Also when buying 'fancy stuff' like electronics, eg I bought a PSU for my computer in Intelaf and they asked for my ID which I feel is very weird, like, what for? In case I do what?
I like it, I had an MRI last month it was 120USD I think at a private clinic. I like the healthcare and cant complain. I have had stitches too, it was free. I can rember what my glasses cost.

Good question, mainly its because depending on how you were educated you will refer to Central America if you grew up in the States, or if in the U.K. you'll say South America, its just the way I was educated and its become a habit.

'Hispanic' eh? Funny, there isn't a lot of Spanish food in Guatemala.... I've seen more indigenous...
Guatemala was my favorite country when I backpacked in Central America for 4 months. Xela was also one of my favorite towns.

Call center stuff, its easier and better pay to work online in a US based call center or as an English teacher, the money is better.

Alot. In Xela a small crappy lot is 50k USD a nice place 200k and up, its cheaper to rent.

why do you say central america? if in your language America is not a continent. It would be the south of North America
