This is my favourite song by them. In the 20ish years I've been listening to them, they've never done anything so whacky and wild and just amazing, you can tell this was the brainchild of The Rev, pretty much in its entirety.
It's essentially their Bohemian Rhapsody, and is just so brilliant.
I had never heard this song before, but I know about The Rev and as I'm listening to the song I'm thinking these lyrics are something The Rev would write and your comment was the first one in the comments and I said to myself, "I knew it." The Rev wasn't just a special drummer, he was a special musician. Everybody here is right, great song! If you have never watched a reactor named Bisscute react to So Far Away, you should. She barely makes it through half of the song.
If you've never watched the "Making of A Little Piece Of Heaven" that they released, I recommend it. The way this came together is honestly wild.

that song is a freaking MASTERPIECE!!! The Rev on drums is basically what gave that song its glory! you can't compare it to anything else.
Definitely if you react to the studio music video version you will get the story it’s a Halloween theme piece that the rev wrote and it’s pretty messed up but it’s so beautiful at the same time it’s really weird how a song that tells such a dark and crazy story can sound so beautiful

It's a song about death, necrophilia, death, rebirth, and more death at a wedding of the undead.
This song is better with the video to figure out what the song is about. It's just the most messed up love story basically. The video literally follows the lyrics and I highly recommend watching it

Second Heartbeat from the LBC next! My favorite part of this show, other than the setlist and quality of sound, is the backup vocals from the rest of the band. They have really good voices too.

One of my 4 favorite bands.
(The other 3 are Babymetal, which you already checked out, Linkin Park, which I would be surprised if you don’t know, and the 3rd band is called ‘Our Last Night’, they have fantastic songs & covers)

@@28dirtj definitely wouldn’t be the top drummer, would 100% be one of the top overall songwriters/composers, he was a great drummer but nowhere near the best, his songwriting and overall skill as a musician in general are what made him truly special

The greatest performance of this song ever took place in a little town in Western Conservative Wisconsin.
Avenged Sevenfold was the closing act for a rock festival and they were FAR too metal for the older/elderly crowd who had shown up to see KISS or Bon Jovi.
It was me and maybe twenty other A7X fans moshing and everyone else in lawn chairs. Security told us if we continued to mosh, we would be removed.
Avenged had such a blast messing with the audience and they played this song as their final, with most of the crowd getting wildly upset and pitching beers at the stage.
Avenged played the whole song.
It was amazing.
So this song is basically about a dude with trust issues kills his gf and does the deed with her corpse and then she comes back to life and kills him and they get married in the afterlife

@@millennialmeetsmusic They did three. Black ops one they did the song Not ready to die. Black ops II they did Carry on (their music video featured Black ops characters and footage and was a post credits scene in the game). Black ops III they did Jade Helm, which is an instrumental.
Shepherd of fire also made an appearance in Black ops II, but the other three songs were all exclusive to the games having not been on albums before (well until they released the best of album)

Everybody always pushes reactors to react to this song. I actually think it’s not a very good one to pick for the first few A7X songs. It’s become such a fan favorite and developed a cult following of its own but people forget that it took a while for even diehard fans to warm up to this song. I love this album and it came out and I always skipped this song because it was so weird and out of place. One day I decided to listen to it, and the lyrics were so crazy and dark that it made me laugh and so I kept listening to it and showed my friends only after repeated listening, did I really hear how beautiful the song is.

So...this song...its a crazy one 😅. Basically, heres how the song goes, and yes, it is a "show" or really, more of a story.
Guy isnt happy with his life. Kills his girlfriend, uses her body after death. She comes back to life (undead) and kills him for revenge. He then sees how wrong he was and asked to marry him as now they are both undead. The wedding consists of them going on a killing spree.
Thats basically the song. One of my top 10 favorites by them. It is a very odd song for sure, and i dont always recommend it to new listeners till they have had some time to really enjoy their music. Look up the lyrics for this song and just read them...if you dare 😅

Lol, it looks like you kinda have an idea of what the song's about, but are trying really hard to convince yourself that you're wrong and must be mishearing it. 😅
It could arguably be the most disturbing song written in the past couple decades, but in the end it's pretty fair, and I think it gets away with the taboo subject matter thanks to that, and by being SO over-the-top outlandish that it's comical!
