Honestly, after all the chicanery of North of the Border and Studson, just doing a normal, wholesome Turn of the Century town square at Christmas is a surprise to be sure... But a welcome one.
@@Werewolf_Korra Right. Well, you can use it for exemplifying the deceptions or subterfuges in said mischief; anytime I've seen it used, it's always in a negative way, derived from its Mexican origin. It surprised me Studson or NoTB would pull something like that, hence my question. Cheers.
Couldn't think of a better post-Christmas dinner watch! Happy holidays and thanks for a year of amazing videos, they've made my work lunch breaks so much better.
I’m really loving these stylized builds! I hope you do more and it’s probably refreshing to take a break from the Wild Imaginary West a bit. Have a Merry Christmas Everyone!
This is such a beautiful display, everything looks perfect. The glow of the window lights on the snow is the best part. Hope that you and your family have a Merry Christmas Caleb!
My husband passed away on July 19. He used to watch your channel. I wanted to let you know that he loved watching what you would create. I hope you have a blessed Christmas. My husband's name was Robert McEwen. My name is Brenda.
Thank you for sharing that Brenda. I'm not the one who made the video but it's still wonderful to know that community and passion can bring joy to our lives. I'm sorry for your loss and I hope you have been able to find peace and meaning in your life.
@@bobhamlin6186 Thank you, Bob! I have had to cope, not just with my loss of my sweet husband and best friend, but with ailments that started acting up after his passing. I, still, have kept the channel, since my husband, really, liked watching it, and I saw some as well. Yes, I do appreciate you reaching out to me in return. Thank you for your concern and since his passing is just 6 months along, it is still pretty new to me, so it has been hard. Take care and please feel free to join my channel to see updates and what I do. My channel is pretty small but it would help. Again, thank you!
This is probably my favorite of your videos. I love all of them, but this is for sure at the top along with the snapping turtle and the white alligator on the Mississippi.
OOf, right in the feels. Your beautiful little diorama reminded me of my mom's ceramic Christmas village we would put out every year. It was my favorite part of Christmas. :) She passed away in July of this year, but your video brought back a lot of great memories for me. Thank you, and a Merry Christmas to you.
I like the inclusion of the headstones in the church graveyard. It really adds to the generational depth of this model. I can see myself looking at this for hours making up stories for all the little villagers.
This reminds me of 1850s living Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. I would add a sleigh ride, skating pond, carolers, and a Christmas tree etc. Great job
A few years ago we visited Stockbridge, MA, where that Rockwell scene is from, and then my daughter did a cross stitch of that scene (which is really cool), and now you've added a completely new dimension to it. I love the wonderful Christmas memories your diorama brings to mind, and I love the way you continue to stay true to your art and your passion. Merry Christmas, Boylei, and hope you have an awesome 2023!!
Boylei. Thank you for your channel I normally don't post things. Mostly because I don't know what to say. But I haven't met you have a real heart to what you do. I've watched every single one of your videos now. And we'll go back and watch him a second time. Don't let people in their bad comments get to you. I have to admit your Wild West models are my favorite. And knowing that I'm a strangers may come across strange. But if you decide to do one with a prospector. I'll be willing to send you a small packet of actual real gold to put into your model. Let me know what you prefer. Keep up the good work and thank you.
Merry Christmas to you and everyone here! After just about 2 years of watching your content, you have inspired me to give models and crafts a go. I love all the tips you have given over the time you have been on TH-cam, and I'll be trying to apply them in the next coming months. Thank you for the great content, Mr Boylei!
In a world where everything needs to be some sort of gimmick to defeat the algorithm it was honestly really nice seeing you make just a simple little Christmas Town. It came out great & I absolutely love it!
I originally thought it would have been a fun addition to the diorama if you had some kind of monster from the Wild Imaginary West lurking at the edge of town, but the end result made me rethink that. Merry Christmas!
What a great little Christmas Town. Your crafting is always fun to watch, but your narration is what always makes me smile ("let's pretend that he is Parson Brown"). Hope you and your family are having wonderful Christmas!
Merry christmas everyone! 🎄 and thanks Boylei hobby time for taking time to make these videos for all of us! Keep up the work bro I love your videos ❤️👑👍🏼
Thank you my friend for thia videos along 2022, for the moments of relaxing and peace in my lunch time. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year full of health and happieness. 🙏❤️🎅
This video is the perfect chill way to celebrate the season of the year. All the best to people coping with extreme seasonal weather this Christmas. PS: This diorama appears to be missing a gigantic Wendigo creeping in to town.
Super props for doing something authentic instead of a twisted subversion. Both have their place, but I’m really enjoying your build. Also props for not glueing your hands into a mitten-like gob; I sure would have.
Thankyou for all the entertainment and inspirational creations for this year dude, it’s been a pleasure watching your work I wish you all the every best for 2023 and I hope your Christmas was fantastic.
Merry Christmas, fish. Thank you for sharing your art with us this year. Here’s to another. I’ve learned so much and have been diving headfirst into terrain dioramas. I can’t get enough.… I’ve always been super interested in scratch building model making, but never took the leap. For example, I’ve been a fan of Adam Savage for a few decades now, as well as many other makers of the same ilk. And yet? It was your videos that got me so excited that I simply couldn’t avoid the hobby any longer. Thank you… and again, Merry Christmas.
I've saved this video to my Favorites file. I'm of an age (nearing 70) where I'm downsizing, which includes buying my first artificial tree; it's all of 2ft tall and occupies the top of my treadle sewing machine in my studio apartment window. The wire tree comes pre-lit and I've festooned it with 1in diameter glass ornaments, 2.4in glass icicles, a hand-strung popcorn garland, and a yellow cardstock 5-pointed star at its top. Your video pointed out to me how easy it would be to make a little Christmas Village to circle the base of the tree. I have a background that includes cabinetmaking, electronics, and architectural modelmaking, so doing this should not be difficult for me. Who knows; maybe it will open a whole new side business for myself...
Was stoked to see you post this and couldn't be happier than I am for what you came up with! Always a pleasure to watch what you come up with. Merry Christmas Boylei!
Such a treat to get home to a completely unexpected Boylei video on Christmas Day. Thanks for all the joy throughout the year - really looking forward to 2023.
I would love to be able to sit down and do things like this. My great grandmother had a Christmas village, the kind with the magnetic frozen pond with skaters and other moving pieces. I loved it so much and have no idea what happened to it. I imagine one of her kids has it stashed somewhere or had it placed at a garage sale. I would love to make my own someday.
This is probably the most relaxing video I have ever seen on TH-cam! You have a very relaxing and calming voice. Love what you have done with the channel. Please keep on with your great videos!
Your videos have become one of the best parts of my Sundays. Thank you for your creativity and calm and consistency this year. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
My man... you're more *Steady* at craftin' than I'll ever be! Over here placing tiny details with an X-acto and his hand ain't even jittering. Consistently high-level work, my friend.
I love that you did a Norman Rockwell inspired painting. The small town I grew up in had a few murals of his paintings on various buildings around downtown. Love the diorama. Great job.
Beautiful build as ever. In regards of the LEDs, you normally always require a resistor in the circuit to limit the current to the LEDs. If you don't, they can be broken straight away, which you may have experienced. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you! This was my favorite of your videos. My wife and I really enjoyed it. I could see this diorama being any child's most beloved Christmas decoration.
Love it. The church needed a canon in the bell tower to fend the town of giant invaders, but ...maybe they have a peace treaty to not attack on Christmas. Have a happy new year. Can't wait to watch more of what you have in store
Merry Christmas everyone. And thank you, Mr Boylei Hobby Time for your wonderful videos in 2022.
