Thoughts on the Geordie Journos performances today: Liam Kennedy - his distribution and guidance to his two young pups on the beat was excellent. Dom Scurr - was his usual statistically excellent self Jordan Cronin- very polite but also very wayward alongside his usual rebellious misdemeanors 🤣😂😁😂😉😉😜😜
I thought Gordon was brilliant causing Leicester all kinds of problems today. Isak’s beautiful footwork was outstanding. Hall placed crosses perfectly. Tonali dominated the midfield play. Bruno supported the attack really well and Burn was an impregnable wall. Trippier was solid. Good to see him get minutes. He still can be a contributor as a squad player.
great content lads keep up your amazing work! the real key is this victory wont mean anything unless we keep backing up these performances and that starts with wednesday against Brentford under the lights. we owe them a beat down after what happened last weekend and also to ourselves that we can actually put back to back performances together! i think we go through on Wednesday but we need to see that hunger and passion that we all know this side are capable of
Hall improved no end ,must admit a season or so ago I was hoping we'd not buy him,now he's one of the first on the team sheet, glad to be proved wrong.
Interested to know the panels thoughts on the Tonali performance as cannot see it mentioned. He bossed the game in the 6 position. At the heart of a lot of our good play and kept things ticking over. Alloowed Bruno to get further forward. Pushed Hall for MOTM
Do you not think Howe has been working on movnig Bruno further forward for a while now, hes clearly fond of Sandro in the 6 and whilst Bruno has been excellent in that role at times moving him to a more traditional 8 or B2B role makes sense given his energy and skillset. Understanding what EH wants playing in the 8 role is cleary a transition that has taken time for the team. When you add that to Burn moving to LCB and Gordon having to shuffle to the RW you can definately see it starting to work more as the players adapt. Leicester were aweful but mostly down to our performance imo, lets not forget they turned over West ham thismonth and got a point aginst Brighton so they are obviously capable. Anyway another outstanding performance from Hall and an uplifting win for the lads. Lets hope its the start of a decent run.
No mention of Sandro until the very end - Liam didn’t think he was a 6 but he’s much more of a 6 than his favourite Bruno ever was. It’s not Sandro or Bruno, Liam. Bruno is better as an 8.
Listing to Ruuds interview on MOTD i don't think he was too bothered about this game he used to take a look at he's team , he got a lot luck with the west Ham game they should of lost that game and they would on another day But you the win and that what really counts
Trippier, Willock, Longstaff should all be placed on the transfer list. Offered F all when they came on. Trippier was taking the piss. Goal difference is important. With 25 minutes to play I dont think we created a chance. First 65 minutes we were great against a poor team. Let's see how we go against a team with a pulse on Wednesday.
I almost felt bad for their goalkeeper that came on at half time. First PL appearance if I heard right. Let two goals in, in less than five mins. Wounded.
Come on, Botman should slot in straight. We still make some awful awful mistakes. Tino and Murphy continuously giving the ball away. Hall playing the wrong weight on the pass got Big Joe booked late on. A decent team would punish us for such things. We need Tripps to come back to that RB position. Tino's advantages are not as good as Tripp's. Isak was sensational. So was Gordon. Murphy could have scored 5 but that is his limitation. His end product is usually woeful. He played well but against better opposition his limitations would always expose us. Tonali was great and Longstaff should not be anywhere near the starting 11.
Tino Liveramento wasnt good, I would bring Trips back in and also adds leadership. Schar has gone missing too often, so need a replacement in Jan/Summer
Grodon is by the way miles ahead of Barnes. Barnes has no right to claim a starting berth as well as to start on the left ahead of Anthony. Barnes is a pure waste of money bar the odd goal. His overall play is neither exciting nor productive. He is selfish and usually seeks glory before the team.

If Lewis Hall can practice crossing so effectively why can’t Tino, it’s getting to be his only weakness.
