While I enjoy "Fake or Fortune" very much, I absolutely adore your "Art in Isolation" series. Thank you so much for doing this. I truly appreciate how you speak not only from a position of erudition but from the heart. Not since Sister Wendy Beckett have I had the pleasure of listening to someone who not only loves art and art history but who speaks directly from a place deep inside of them--unfiltered, human and real. That is what we truly need! Thanks again!!
Philip, I just discovered your Art in Isolation series. I am truly enjoying these. Even though it’s been three yeas since you started these, these episodes are timeless and so very interesting. I have not had the pleasure of having such beauty and talent at my disposal. I have watched many of your Fake or Fortune series and I enjoy those very much as well. These lessons you provide about art in depth, well I love them. Thank you to you and your son. 😁😃🌹🌷🌿
I have just found this series. How wonderful to have someone with such a beautiful house and art collection to open up and share it with us at this time! Thank you Philip, and all the best to you and your family.
As usual Philip Mould is so knowledgeable, and speaks so clearly. I could listen to him recite the specials from a grocery flyer and be enthralled. Hello from Toronto!:)
What a little jewel of a TH-cam clip. Thank you for letting us see into your collection and life in this way. A few minutes away from the bad news. I will recommend it to my friends.
Thank you for you and your expertise in navigating the world of fine art! You are Britain's national treasure. I've watched FOF reruns to help me get thru this Covid-19 quarantine. Keep doing what you do! We love you!
I discovered you after watching all the Fake or Fortune episodes on You Tube and I must say this little look into your own collection and home is equally as fascinating. Your genuine enthusiasm and passion comes through. Your home is absolutely lovely and its history is amazing! Your personal collection of art would rival some museums. Thank you very much for this look into your world! I am green with envy!
Thank you, Philip, I really enjoyed this. You are a natural for the camera, especially with the fluidity of your intellect and knowledge of the arts and history in general. Thank you (and the Mrs.) for allowing us into your home, to see your private collection. I think the title is most befitting!~ Cheers from Boston, MA. USA
Thank you for a wonderful look into your world. Apart from the history and the artworks, it is such a joy to listen to your beautifully descriptive use of the English language! From Brisbane Australia.
You are so right. It is special to listen to someone spak so well and from the heart, bout something he knows so much about - from Melbourne, Australia
The portrait of William Cope becoming available at the same time you were doing up the house is one of those "meant to be" situations that evokes such profound feelings when they happen.
Thank you Philip. Amazing that this painting has ‘come back home’ as it were. After re-watching series 7 of Fake or Fortune recently, it was great to come across this Art in Isolation series on TH-cam. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. Stay safe and keep up the great work
Philip Mould is the kind of gentleman that makes me proud to be British, thoughtful, intelligent, enthusiastic, a real gent ! I loved him at work - on the tv and I now love him even more at home.
Thank you very much Mr. Mould! Hello from Arlington, Virginia, just a cross Washington DC. It’s a perfect timing to find your Art in Isolation- - a respite from heartbreaking Corona Virus news all over the world. My husband and I love history and art. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and your exquisite collection. I will be watching all your series!
Syncronisity happens everywhere... I believe that when you do something in its right time that's when it happens... Thank you for your invitation to your home and world.
Thank you so much for this inspiring look at both art and architecture. Despite these difficult days, there will be some unexpected rays of light that come from this wretched virus. There is a series to be had here!
Hi Philip, Thank you so much for producing these lovely videos! I have found it so life-giving and inspirational in a time which feels so stressful and confined. We look forward to see many more episodes!
I have been visiting Philip Mould's excellent website for years and I learned a lot from him. I am glad I discovered these beautiful videos. What an adorable doggy he has! Is a pity that Sir Edwin Landseer is no longer with us!
Had to pause the video at 8:08 ---- oh my goodness! How cool is that!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this video of your home. Prayers for the health of the UK and all corners of the world. Howdy ya'll from the great state of Texas. -- Okay, back to the video ☺️🐶🙏 peace. Edit: gorgeous portrait by the way.
Many thanks! God bless you, your family, your home and your little dog. Your job for all of us is great. Please, continue your efforts to share your knowledge with us.
I love these visits! I love that you invited one of the owners back into the house. It’s so wonderful to look at your videos and your show that opens a window on such a different life style. Things are quite rough here in “the Colonies” at present. You and Fiona keep me sane. ♥️♥️
Only since taking up painting to help with stress have I discovered such a huge new world of art and your informed series is most welcome. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and infectious passion.
Thank you Philip for showing us your beautiful house. I must thank you for sparking in me, an interest in art. I have been binge watching Fake or Fortune which I love. I would like to thank you, Fiona and Bendor for creating such a fantastic series and wish you all good health and future success !
I just found this! The provenance of a house is as fascinating as that of a painting! I look forward to watching the entire series. Such a beautiful house. It seems very warm and friendly.
Sunday afternoon, Just back from Cars & Coffee with a 100 mile ride before coming home. I have a Jaguar XK, 1 of 97, Winter Gold An 07. I have watched your series over the years, love them ,I am a painter with my Studio and Gallery in our home. And I have to say you bring the best of my painting out with all the new ideas from seeing what you bring to everyone. Your home is wonderful, I'm a old world lover of art, homes and that world. Thank you for doing this. I look forward to your next video. All on TH-cam, great. Just bookmarked them so I don't miss any of them. This is as good as being in my studio, Art for the mind.. Thanks.
I am so delighted you are here on YT. Finding your channel has made my day. Philip you are a wonderful storyteller. You always breathe life into art, or to use your words, you give it 'humanity'. Thank you for sharing your home and your insights into it with us. Please, please keep up the great work and may you and yours remain safe. From another Queensland Aussie.
Philip; love "Fake or Fortune" and love your adorable whippet Cedric. Stunning dog! Thanks for the insight into your tranquil life in the country. Derek (a fan from Australia). Stay well.
Thanks for all of your programmes Philip - they're wonderful. Rewatching Fake or Fortune at the moment - one of the best television programmes ever made! Greetings from New Zealand.
Very grateful for these very interesting snippets of information and so wonderfully spoken. What a lovely, homely and fascinating building. So very different from architecture here in Australia. All the planets aligned for you in finding that painting.
This is a breath of fresh air, almost literally for quarantine relief. Art in Isolation actually was a title that caught my eye, so it seems to me a perfect description. Thank you for the pink socks as well!
We have just found this fantastic series after watching every Fake or Fortune. We absolutely love it!!!! Your home is incredible! We love Cedric, and all the incredible art!!! Looking forward to watching every single one!!! Thank you from Arizona!!
Just started watching this evening. What remarkable finds and fascinating links! The Order of the Garter regalia was beautifully painted as were the skin features of both gentlemen. Thank you.
I very much enjoyed your Fake or Fortune series. Now I came across this series and have just started. You are wonderfully, Intellectually stimulating. I leave each of your videos emotionally moved and sated. Thank You.
Sometimes, the most wonderful treasures wash up onto the proverbial shoreline of TH-cam! Episode #20 of this “Art in Isolation” series came to me first-and I was so excited! What a great idea...Art History is my very favorite way to frame history, (pun intended) and I’ve been in need of creative inspiration...(I’m in Quarantine on the West Coast of the U.S., in the Pacific N.W., where we’re suddenly switching from cool, wet and cloudy, to sunny and 85 degrees, on May 7th, 2020). I know this will be good, as I’ve seen Philip Mould on lots of BBC Art programs. I can’t wait to watch the remaining 19 episodes! Thanking you in advance for this wonderful gift. Please take good (Covid-19) care of yourselves! (I don’t know whether this is helpful, or not, but the “pink socks” are aqua on my I-pad).
Earlier today I came across a link to this series and have spent the remainder of the day 'binge watching' it! I'm sorry I missed it during lock-down but what a treat it has been to sit and watch it all at once. As a bit of an ignoramus when it come to Art, I have nevertheless enjoyed and been carried along with your enthusiasm for each item under discussion. Thank you for a lovely series; well done to Oliver for his behind the camera work and to Cedric for his guest appearances!
Great history of art and the house. Amazing that the insect eaten wood beams seen in the background are still holding up. Hopefully more information on the house comes along with the art excursions. Thank-you for sharing..

There’s a dog, too? Stop the presses. This has to be made into a regular series. This has to be the best thing I’ve watched in years.
I had the same feeling. What a gorgeous doggy!
