- Gaiares (Genesis) All Bosses (No Damage). Gaiares (ガイアレス) is a shoot' em up game for Sega Genesis / MegaDrive. This game has one interesting feature: you can steal enemy's weapon and use it for yourself. Just like Kirby or Soma Cruz. :) The bosses have a pretty cool design: Mecha Mermaid, Shinigami (aka Grim Reaper), Robo Valkyrie. Also game has decent soundtrack and nice anime cutscenes. Overall, it's a good shoot'em up game. If you like the genre you should try it. Boss list:

One of the first games to ever receive perfect reviews from nearly every magazine that played it. If I remember right it came packaged with a fingerless glove too.
80s to early 90s anime art is the best. Dan and Natasha look fucking fantastic in the ending cutscene.
The giant Mecha Valkyrie is great!

This game is so unapologetically anime, I love it. This is one of the games that defined the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive for me.

While I like the english artwork I love the Japanese art work more.
This game is excellent,the music,the cutscene, the graphics and the fast pace of the stages are all great.
Is it just me, or do I really wish this had been an anime I could watch? Slip it in between episodes of Macross and Voltron, or something. Seems it'd make an interesting series if they did it right.

I played this game. I beat this game. One of the hardest games ever. Awesome.
I beat it also and still had the hard copy of it.With enough practice if possible to finish it.

Mission 8 : ZZ Badnusty（ゼルデュオン）※Can't recognize the name of the mech she ride at last mission so I wrote the name of her.
P.S: Demarina and Val-Savior's my most favorites :)
What should be next: Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, R-Type, R-Type II/Super R-Type (there are a few different bosses), R-Type III: The Third Lightning, Parodius games, Gradius games.

why not Thunder Force 4, Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, Castlevania Bloodlines, they have epic bosses

love the bosses in this game, that mermaid and mecha angel , dragon were so cool.i thought all the bosses in this game were awesome. Though I have to agree with a previous comment the one boss looks like Dr. Doom haha.

Right now I'm working on boss level 7. He is a bitch to beat because he does not have a set pattern. He'll throw some random crap in sometimes making my memorization of his patterns that much more a pain in the ass. Great game, but once I finish this game , I'm putting it away for a long long time.
The 7th boss is the hardest. the others are easy.

Life Force was actually called Salamander in Japan, that and Darius were made by Taito, Gaiares was a stand alone shmup game
