There really isn't anything, I can think of, that is a negative for the pack. The world is great, horses/dogs/cats all are fun to play with, no glitches/bugs that I can think of... I think they hit it out of the park with that pack.
okay im rlly late buh i had this horrible glitch playing the sims 3 pets that made me not love it as much as i used to,, so basically whenever i would go into cas for pets their bodies would completely glitch out like they were pulled and stretched looking like that guy from willy wonka,, and it either crashed in cas or while playing it shortly after getting out of it,, which obviously,, not fun not cute not amazing buh the gameplay is rlly good and i loved playing with the rodents even tho there was barely any interactions,,
Yep I love generations, literally generations for now is the only pack I own and I managed to get about 400 hours of playtime with just that pack because I enjoyed it tho I really want university
i’m going to get generations and seasons. i was wanting late night because i use san myschuno in every save for sims 4, but if it’s laggy then ig i’ll get another pack.
The only one I disagree with is seasons. I just can't play the sims 3 without seasons, it has become essential for me to have seasons in my game. I also think the raining bit is a bit nitpicky, it usually rains the most during fall and spring just like it does IRL, other than that great tier list! When I saw you were about to put Katy Perry's Sweet Treats in the green for a second I was about to throw my phone into the wall, ngl :)))
I have to disagree with the Island Living pack, EVEN IF it is laggy when you play in that world, you can still go on boat rides and windsurf in any world that has water. Also, I think running a hotel is kinda worth it if it is on sale if you like to run businesses in the Sims. Also, you CAN become a lifeguard in other worlds but it is not as good. Also, Into the Future problems, I NEVER even had any of those stuck issues or bugs. Or world adventure...I played for years. So idk lol Late Night pack is AMAZING. I would never put in forgettable because it lags, which it doesn't for me. The elevator problem is a small issue, but there isn't like 20 Sims trying to get on as you said. Like 5 Sims could squeeze in a lift when it is closing time, that's the only problem I had, which I just need to wait a bit longer for it. I personally don't think it deserves forgettable ranking because of that. Personally Opinion on these Packs........
@@gigisneckofthewoods yea, that's why I said world that have water. Even with hotel management alone and Island based Cas is cool too. Cause you put most of the stuff pack in forgettable and this pack lower than that. In my opinion idk why that's the case.
@@gigisneckofthewoods I've played yesterday the Sims 4 after a long time.. The last time before was 2018 ahaha :D even though there are many packs now as well, the none open world is just so annoying
All of the issues mentioned are solved by nraas, I understand that not everyone plays with mods, I just find it weird that good packs are so down the scale cause of lag.
A lot of the issues presented on any of the Expansions that cause game-breaking bugs can easily be fixed with mods. Nraas ErrorTrap and Nraas Overwatch are the two must-downloads regardless if you enjoy mods or not. Late Night, Island Paradise, World Adventures, and Into the Future would rank much higher because of mods.
"its gonna rain, it ALWAYS rains" i relate to this on a spirital level. Going to the playground? Rain. Throwing a parts at the festival? Rain. Celebrating birthday? R A I N
Ok, couple things...the first, its really dope that theres still people playing The Sims 3. Sims 4 was and still is a disaster and anyone that bought it, wasted their money 🤷♂️. Moving on, I disagree with alot of these placements for the packs. If I were to place them it'd be in this order instead. 1) WORLD ADVENTURES : Easily Forgettable and boring because compared to all other expansions, who really gonna care about exploring 3 simple areas? 2) AMBITIONS : I'm in agreeance with your placement of it for the fact that it's the 1 pack that introduces Washing Machines and Dryers without a stuff pack 😂 LATE NIGHT : Strongly disagree with this placement since I'm always sending my sims for a good night out if they're single and dont have any kids. It goes hand in hand perfectly with showtime too since if you wanted to make a successful band, showtime adds onto that. I dont have lag trouble either and I feel the ones that I do disagree with are mainly because they seemed to be placed low because of performance issues. Other than this, late night is super fun. GENERATIONS : in agreeance PETS : In agreeance SHOWTIME : I feel belongs in the 75% discount area since it's basically like an expansion of late night and goes hand in hand well with the celebrity system. SUPERNATURAL : Idk how to feel about this one. Never played it and dont care for it so I have no opinion here. SEASONS : Strongly disagree with since seasons in a life simulation game is crucial. It's definitely worth full price since you can adjust the weather you want to see the most to the least. UNIVERSITY : In agreeance. ISLAND PARADISE : VERY STRONGLY DISAGREE! The fact that my sim can have a house boat to throw boat house parties on is everything to me, it's like an expansion of seasons and world adventures to me. I'd atleast place it in the 75% off area. INTO THE FUTURE Never cared for it so I have no opinion. I know this comment is super long so I'll do stuff packs separately lol
For me late night is eeh nah. I like the idea of bars and stuff but its kinda glitchy with the subways... And the celebrity system oh my fucking god. Okay i love getting free money and celebrity points but the paparazi is annoying as hell AND SOMETIMES THEY CAN GET IN MY HOUSE TOO- i say it belongs in the 75% discount
It's funny that, unlike how with the Sims 4 everyone seems to have different opinions on the packs based on how they like to play, everyone seems to be unanimous about what Sims 3 packs are worth it. I watched the LGR assessments for deciding what packs to get a while back, but thought you might have different opinions. But nope, I've already got all the packs worth having. I'm not sure if you'd be able to do it, but I'd be interested in your opinions about the Sims 3 store premium content (items, not towns). I've been interested in some of those, but never saw anyone use or give a review of them.
Doing the store stuff is an interesting idea. I might become a broken record because there isn't much I would say "is worth full price." A lot of the stuff is overpriced. I don't own all of it either. Hmm, I'll think about it. :)
Only got to play 3 for less than a year. My PC died and someone gifted me w a mac (it's not compatible). I miss 3 so damn much and I loved just listening to your opinions. TBH I only build, CAS creative videos for 4. I just can;t play it. 3 is so much better. Aside from supernatural, which I never had, I found myself nodding along to all you said. Sims 3 gen especially. Great video! oh well tbh I get your point seasons was a bit odd at times, but I stll loved it lol
I'm sorry to hear that you can't play The Sims 3. It is rough when you can't play a game you love. Sims 4 doesn't capture my attention like The Sims 3 does. I love Seasons too, warts and all. 💖
@@gigisneckofthewoods Definitely! This is off topic, and I hate to bother you, but right now I'm watching your video on COPPA. Had no idea some Sims content was on the kids' app. Not sure what to do tbh :(
@@SimmerErin I'm not sure either. I'm hearing people talking about getting sims videos marked as made for kids. It is TH-cam's bot misunderstanding what it is seeing. It is like the adpocalypse all over again. 🤦
i have rain disabled in my game, makes it may more enjoyable to play even if i do miss having it around sometimes but also world adventure is definitely still a fun pack if you have a challenge or a sim whose main focus is to complete that pack but its a darn sturdy one and you can still get plenty of hours from it! ive only had issues with one sim lagging, aka he didnt appear in the adventure world but the sim itself was fine once i booted up the save game again, but alas i always make sure to save before any type of travel between loading screens as that should almost be a given with this game.
One thing that I find that helps with the world adventures / university / into the future bug, is to save right before you go on the trip, and then don't save at all until you have returned home. I usually do this on a weekend where I have time to just binge Sims 3 for the day. Then, if the bug happens where the game eats your sim on the way home, you can just force close the client without saving. Sure, hours were wasted and I might not want to play that save again for a few weeks, but it's better than losing the whole save file.
I feel bad for World Adventures. It has some really enjoyable content. The ability to own a vacation home and the dungeons. Specific activities like Martial Arts in China and whatever are well integrated. Stupid issues prevent that pack from being great. For me it's the fact that vacations stop aging. Completely broken. You can just go on vacation, push all your friends to max via telephone chat and come back. (Never had loading screens eat my sims, though. So no idea what that is all about.)
I’m sorry you and other people were having major lag on some of those packs! I’ve never experienced lag with Late Night, World Adventures, University Life, or Into the Future haha. And I have a super old windows PC. I will agree on how rainy seasons is and how LAGGY island paradise is. But I’m super glad you love supernatural because it’s my all time favorite!
The only thing I disagree with personally is the sims 3 into the future, I love going back and forth from present to future and also I love the world and plumbots, but of course it's just personal taste
Supernatural was my favorite expansion of all time I played with it for years after I bought it I loved it. Loved playing with witches especially and all the potions you could create. Sadly the switch from the old sims 3 launcher to origin got rid of all my expansions I bought on disc. And I dont have a disc reader on my laptop currently
The Sims 3 is my childhood (born in 2004), i have so much photos in the sims 3 that go back to 2011, i first got the sims 3 on disk and played on my old mac for years until i got my first computer and used the disk "but now on Origin" but unfortunately it crashed alot until i discovered mods from Nraas which saved me, I now have just 2 more expansion packs too go but alot more stuff packs to go and with just over 1000 hours on origin and maybe 1000s on mac I am still playing it to this day, I tried The Sims 4 when it first released but it was a huge downgrade, even today The Sims 4 is still bland for me, Its mostly a cash grab now, thats why im sticking with the sims 3, I also have The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and it was awesome, got a couple 100 hours on that game but its getting ancient now but i play it every now that then. I love the sims 3 and I hope The Sims 5 brings back Feature like open world etc but with much better optimizations and graphics, (since Computers are now powerful ish), The sims 4 'Sims I thought was too cartoony for me, and The sims 3 was quite bad, I hope they can sort out the looks of the sims, The sims 4 sims felt like they was acting and were too child friendly, The sims 2 had the best animations and although they look dated, they are more realistic in a way. Thank You for reading and Im excited for what The Sims can bring in the Future. see ya!
I do agree that the Sims 2 had the most life to it. You go back to it and there are just so many small things that make the game amazing. We'll have to see how the Sims 5 comes out.
Sims 3 and Sims 4 Buying Guide ➡️ th-cam.com/video/AoPXd5LrCug/w-d-xo.html If you can't grab them this time, Steam has a huge sale twice a year. The Steam Summer Sale in June and the Steam Winter Sale in December. You can grab really great deals on The Sims 3 during those sales! You can also take your codes from Steam and transfer the packs to Origin if you choose.
Another problem of Into the Future is that developers never gave support to Create a World, so a lot of things and lots that are placed in the future scenario cannot be used to create a custom world. For example the flying bus: to implement it in your world, you must do it manually by modifying a file and adding coordinates and that's frustrating.
Holy cow, I never knew that. I never dabbled with CAW. That really sucks. You can tell they just wanted to game to be over and move on. Stuff like this and the sorry state of Isla Paradiso confirm that.
@@gigisneckofthewoods The only thing is that new types of lots can be added in your scenario, but futuristic things like the bus, for example, cannot or you must modify files. It's a pity as they could do a lot with it, and I wanted to create a cyberpunk world, but that wasn't the case. If they're going to make an expansion like that on TS4, I hope that it adds a lot of things (and I would love if they do a cyberpunk scenario c: )
Thank you so much for this video! I just started playing Sims 3 again (Sims 4 gets boring afet a while) and I wanted to buy some packs. Your review is very helpful, I'll definietly come back to it whenever I want to buy a new pack!
Nice! I'm glad to hear that that worked out for you. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that route because you need codes to get those disks to work and if you don't have the codes, the disks are useless. $12 bucks is a great deal.
@@aicha9204 That's good to hear, because there are a lot of scams on Ebay. They have Sims 4 copies for sale that don't have gallery access. Only reason you can't access the gallery is if the games are pirated. You have to be careful with Ebay. A lot of people bought disks and they didn't come with codes, so they couldn't use them.
The stuff pack lightning round was hilarious xD Also, by the end of the Sims 3's run, mods and maintenance apps were around (as well as cache and folder tips), so a lot of the EP problems I heard about didn't (and haven't) happened to me, but I agree the deplorable execution issues are inexcusable. I maintain my game and my saves like a car I'd need to service regularly. It's lucky that it's such a wonderfully fun, lovable game because a lot of effort has been put into it - by the fanbase xD Last thing: the store content is definitely overpriced, but I couldn't (and can't) resist, so I have almost all of it. I never dipped my toe in the stuff pack pool and don't plan to, though. This video is cool; I love how you do these, and I appreciate your reasoning behind each recommendation tier. :D
I have quite a bit of store content too. My favorite world comes from the store but I know I payed way too much for what I got. My whole reason for creating these videos was to help people not make the mistakes I did. I bought a bunch of the Sims 3 packs for full price and many of them [mostly stuff packs like Katy Perry's Sweet Treats] were not worth what I paid. If you are curious about what is in each stuff pack, Carl's Sims has a great guide on each of them, showing off all the items. www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/expansionpacks.php
When my sims go to college or go to another country I make sure it is separated from my other saves and I save right before I choose to make the phone call...so if anything goes wonky I won't loose my main neighborhood.i mainly only have issues with the sims getting stuck in the apartment walls so I don't even bother with apartments
When I played sims 2 and 3 I only really got pets and another pack or 2. With sims 4 I have almost all because it is boring without it. But now I am coming back to the older ones so I am collecting information about them
i loved island paradise! my game was never laggy, like ever, and my computer wasn’t the greatest then. i never had issues running ts3 until recently, but that’s because it’s incompatible with the mac i have now.
Okay sorry for last comment, that I have poor english, but if you don't have sims 3, buy the bundle one with generations, seasons, pets it's the best bundle for starter, it's only 24€ in my country :)
Ohh where can you get that from Origin? I really want the family packs like seasons generations but i don't really like supernatural or into the future
I'm that simmer who prefer playing without seasons and pets :D I'd better install "Into the Future" pack, cause I enjoy that esthetic. With other things I totally agree :)
I really like Late Night and I found it changes the gameplay so much. I never had any lagging and I never had the problem of the game eating my sims except in Generations when the parents of my teen sims never came back but that was only one time. Island Paradise does lag really bad if you delete certain lots it runs better, not great but better. I feel personally that Supernatural is not for me. I'm glad some people like it I just don't play that way with my sims and would find it highly annoying.
girl now we're in quarentine ive been trying to play the sims 3, i got a good pc but the game still lags like theres no such thing as tomorrow or today. i mean like water is moving but my sim keeps stopping every few seconds, i only have the expansions and no mods, what can i do?
Serena I recommend getting NRaas master controller and NRaas overwatch, it helped me with my lag a little bit. You just have to rest your town every once and a while.
@@coocoobananass i tried that but it seems like whatever i do the game just lags a fuck ton, i found out showtime was also a main problem being laggy, i just decided to uninstall the game for now and play some mass effect
after ea fucked my account and locked me out of it and now i’m stuck with my friend’s origin account, i decided that i wasn’t gonna buy any more packs for sims since i had all the good ones for sims 4 and practically nothing for sims 3. now that i can only play sims 3 tho i decided to start getting packs again. i only have late night, pets, seasons, generations, and world adventures and tbh i am fine with that lmao it gives me enough variety to keep me interested. the others just seem unnecessary
I've got all the sims games. sims 2 is my favourite, i have every pack but ive started getting back into sims 3 again too so this has helped me with buying backs, ty!!
No, NOT the entire series from Steam. It's missing ONE stuf pack (my favorite): Sweet Treats (LOL). There is a mesh that's used by so many CC creators but is unavailable standalone. Also, the hangout and parks work better than most.
The only packs I'm missing are into the future, supernatural, island paradise, and all the stuff packs. I'm scared if I get more my game will be laggy. I also don't have any worlds, but I'm planning on getting Hidden Springs.
I have all the main packs, but unless I am actively going for something from them, I'm leaving Pets, Into the Future, Supernatural and Island Paradise disabled. I would leave them active if they weren't so intrusive. Pets are incredibly needy and the game can't really handle all the strays running around (although Nraas mods do limit their numbers). I'm not sure how intrusive Into the Future is aside from the time portal, but I still think I can always add it later on and I don't like how the portal just appears within the first day or so. Supernatural has you minding your own business and suddenly there are zombies on the streets. And Island Paradise... well, you explained it quite well. The other packs usually add something and aren't too intrusive. Like, I haven't actively played World Adventures content since like Late Night came out, but I still really like the Martial Arts and Nectar making skills.
I have into the future but I only use it for the stuff you get I don’t actually go to the future but I like some of the hair styles and clothes and furniture for specific instances.
Sims 3 island paradise was one of my favorites because boathouses. I played Sims 3 years ago with 2012 medium priced laptop and it had some lag but it wasn't unplayable. I did not use mods. I believe it would not lag on nowadays computers. Sims 3 in general was much better and fun than Sims 4.
The lag in Island Paradise is created by bad coding. Buying a new computer will not fix that. The game doesn't get better if you spend $2000 on a new computer.
When the sims 3 and other packs go on sale again I'll get atleast 6 of the packs. I like having supernatural sims, big lasting families, pets, and a fun career. This helped clear up most options.
Quarantine. I'm on my weak pc at my mum's house. Gonna have to get into TS4. Will try. I doubt I will... I miss my gaming rig back at my place, it runs TS3 with relatively no problem.
Nice to have a recent Sims 3 video with a quick and honest review. Love it! There is a work around to reduce most of the lag though...But of course, it should work right from the start and not because of 3rd party mods.
I would completely disagree about Late Night and say Island Paradise is worse regarding the lag etc I personally love the idea of being in a city and therefore forget about the lag and sims not getting into nightclubs I can work around that
I found that one of the premade families in Island Paradise literally cannot entertain guests because of routing issues with their front door. I was able to fix the lag issues with mods and banning stray pets from spawning but the routing is always a problem.
I haven't tried this yet, but you can get game maps that have been fixed by other players. I hear they work well and I've wanted to try them out for a while.
The only reason i bought world adventures is for the tiberium and supernatural for the gem cutter. You can easily make millions from tiberium hunting as werewolf
i'm more wondering how this would work.. like i have all my sims 3 stuff on my origin account the only expansion i still need is ambitions.. would it carry over to origin no problem or would it be on steam only..
@@alishalouise4495 hey i was wondering if your sims 3 base game was bought on steam or origin? idk if i can buy DLC from steam as my base game is on origin
I believe you have to purchase the Sims 3 Base Game on Steam before you can even buy the packs. If you are willing to spend $5 on something you already have, you can test it out and see if you can transfer the packs. I was able to transfer over my game through the use of codes, but that was many years ago.
shockingly Steam are charging £17.99 per expansion and £17.99 per stuff pack (EA sold these at max price of £9.99 not £17.99!!) to buy the game and all expansions and stuff packs on steam right now in the UK and in Europe its going to set you back £341 or 360 euros!! (not that far off $450+ USD! truly scandalous from steam. whether they bothered to fix the game and expacs to work with the new Nvidia RTX 2060/70/80/80Ti remains to be seen but i have a feeling they have not, so if you have one of these newer cards, just be aware it wont be recognized and you cannot pass one of these cards off as a GTX it wont work, so remember to save frequently because you will face constant crashes.
OMG Thank you so much for making this video! I wanted to re-download my TS3 and I wanted to know what packs I should get, So glad I watched before buying anything.
4:50 For me Late night would be don't buy because trying to make a game in the city world legit crashes my sims 3 game. It's the only map I never use. I always use starlight shores.
Finally someone who shares my love for Supernatural. It is literally my favourite! I dont always use it but when I do have an absolute blast. Island Paradise would've been my fave if it wasnt for the lag. Personally I think they're all worth it just some more than others
Wait a sec. I always wondered why on earth The Sims 3 is still so expensive and now I see that in your vid it costs 4.99$. "Cool", I'm thinking, because I remember it being double that even on sale. So I check it and boom..... What on earth is that? It actually is 9,99€. I mean I am used to paying the same in € even tho 1$ is actually worth less than 1€, but why on earth do I have to pay 100% the price? That's just ridiculous. Of course the "you can get it for under 100$" does not apply to me as well, because all the dlc is also more expensive - I would have to spend 144,80€ for everything still. God that pi..es me of rn. Sorry, I know that's not your fault. Video is still helpful...if it actually ever drops for us people in good ol' Europe, too.
I'm sorry to hear that you don't have as good a deal as I do. I'm not sure how regions work with Steam. I'm pretty sure that EA sets up how much the discount is. I have no idea why you would have to pay more. :(
@@gigisneckofthewoods Yeah, It probably is EA. I mean, I'm fine with paying the same price just with a € sign attached to it - even if it is a small premium, but this is just too much. Sorry for the small rage tho. I still actually watched the video out of curiosity and I definetely will come back to it once I'm fine buying it. :)
You can change the currency on the steam store. Unless you are actually in Europe then it's not safe to do so. Or you can just change it back to Euro after buying the Sims 3 games quickly.
My first sims game that i played for the first time is sims 4. I got bored of that game quickly so i was thinking about getting sims 3. Is that a good ideea?
When I first got world adventures it did that thing that the world's never loaded at all so I would go back to my last save of that sim but for the university and future it's never done that for me guess I just get lucky lol
I really want to buy the sims 3 and 1 of the expansion packs (I have enough money to pay myself) But i think my parents will say no because i already have sims 4 and pretty much all the packs but i guedd i will just ask them
Not everyone can drop $100 for everything and might only be able to buy a couple. I don't know how I would choose just a couple, if I had to buy the game again. There are too many excellent packs.
I found Sims 3 pets to add a lot to the life sim aspect of the game, but it sure has less content than the Sims 1 and 2 iterations if you exclude horses. It's like they were so fixated on making horses memorable that they completely forgot about making the other pets more meaningful. No pet shop, far too few objects for dogs and cats, and puppies and kittens aren't fleshed out at all. I mean, come on. Really? The puppy can't sleep in my bed until it grows older? That makes no sense. And brushing the pet as a way to give it a shower? In what world? That said, it's still Pets. It's not as good as Sims 1-2 Pets, but it's also not so bad that I think people should dismiss it entirely. Definitely not. But full price? Eh.
I will admit that Sims 3 didn't have a whole lot for pets to do and after the resurgence in toys/games/stuff for pets in real life, I expected more for an expansion pack geared toward pets in the Sims 4.
Hello! You've got a new sub!!! I have the sims 3 by origin but I was wondering if there is a way I can still get some of the packs from steam and make it work on my origin based game?
I don't believe you can just buy the packs you need on Steam. I believe you have to purchase the Sims 3 base game first. When I bought Sims 3 on Steam, I was given key codes and I could plug those into Origin for the packs. I'm not even sure that is a thing anymore. I've had the complete set for many years now, so something could have changed. If you are willing to spend $5 on the base game and then buy a pack and try, it might work. Again, I have no way to know if it will or won't.
@@wingwaibrown776 Yep, just make sure you have the right version. Steam is one version behind the Origin one. You'll need to make sure you get mods and cc compatible with that version of the game.
Steam requires you to buy/have the base game on your account before you can buy the DLC. You might be able to register your Sims 3 disc in Origin and then be able to buy the packs there.
great video! Very thorough. I'm going to get sims 3, and I'd also like to get an expansion pack. I'm thinking of choosing between generations and supernatural, though I'm leaning more towards supernatural... any recommendations?

i need to buy the sims three.. theres so much more than in the sims 4.
Yep
Do it! Sims 4 has a better build mode but playing live mode is booorrriinngg. Sims 3 is so fun plus it still has a good build mode :)
Do you guys know how I want to buy it too! Also I want to by sims 2. I hear a lot a good things about this games
you can get all of it free. i you know how to
Hack it its better
All of the issues mentioned are solved by nraas, I understand that not everyone plays with mods, I just find it weird that good packs are so down the scale cause of lag.
I wouldn't call NRAAS "mods", they are necessities! Like the travelling issues she mentioned can be easily fixed with NRAAS Traveler
GOD I HATED THIS SM!
Feels refreshing to see someone who is enjoying and is still loyal to the amazing sims 3
2) AMBITIONS : I'm in agreeance with your placement of it for the fact that it's the 1 pack that introduces Washing Machines and Dryers without a stuff pack 😂
LATE NIGHT : Strongly disagree with this placement since I'm always sending my sims for a good night out if they're single and dont have any kids. It goes hand in hand perfectly with showtime too since if you wanted to make a successful band, showtime adds onto that. I dont have lag trouble either and I feel the ones that I do disagree with are mainly because they seemed to be placed low because of performance issues. Other than this, late night is super fun.
GENERATIONS : in agreeance
PETS : In agreeance
SHOWTIME : I feel belongs in the 75% discount area since it's basically like an expansion of late night and goes hand in hand well with the celebrity system.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 👍
I agree w u entirely literally I think we share the same brain or smth lmfaoooooooooo
Bro i wanna hear ur opinion on stuff packs lmaoo
I'm glad you also like the Sims 3 and seeing people still support it too
For me late night is eeh nah.
It rains a lot, sound like the sims is set in uk.
Yeah, here in the UK it rained nonstop with lots of thunder and lightning...
Late night and the world doesn’t give me problems .. Island Paradise town tho ?! Smh 🤦🏾♀️
Which items do you wonder about? I have a pretty decent inventory from the store and use store content every time I play.
@Strawberrysmoodie thank s. It works for some made but not my version because its a new graphics card
@@SimmerErin Ohh hi i always watch your videos for sims news😍
i have rain disabled in my game, makes it may more enjoyable to play even if i do miss having it around sometimes but also world adventure is definitely still a fun pack if you have a challenge or a sim whose main focus is to complete that pack but its a darn sturdy one and you can still get plenty of hours from it! ive only had issues with one sim lagging, aka he didnt appear in the adventure world but the sim itself was fine once i booted up the save game again, but alas i always make sure to save before any type of travel between loading screens as that should almost be a given with this game.
I've given up on sims 4 so im looking to play sims3 again!
I gave up on sims 4 a while ago, too many issues especially with the gurus, they are sooo toxic and way too much for me.
The only thing I disagree with personally is the sims 3 into the future, I love going back and forth from present to future and also I love the world and plumbots, but of course it's just personal taste
If you don't want to lags in your game, watch this video! Don't install the all packs
Isla Paradiso is so beautiful, and the features are amazing. But the lag makes it unplayable. I'd say if you can afford it, but Sunlit Tides for $20.
Thank You for reading and Im excited for what The Sims can bring in the Future. see ya!
I love The stuff Packs because i like to build.
I do agree that the Sims 2 had the most life to it. You go back to it and there are just so many small things that make the game amazing. We'll have to see how the Sims 5 comes out.
@@gigisneckofthewoods EA, don't let me down again!
Sims 3 and Sims 4 Buying Guide ➡️ th-cam.com/video/AoPXd5LrCug/w-d-xo.html
If you can't grab them this time, Steam has a huge sale twice a year.
I got the whole game on ebay for only 12 bucks and I used a five dollar coupon (even the stuff packs)😁😁😁
Nice! I'm glad to hear that that worked out for you. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that route because you need codes to get those disks to work and if you don't have the codes, the disks are useless. $12 bucks is a great deal.
@@gigisneckofthewoods I got an Origin account from it with all of the packs and etc
The stuff pack lightning round was hilarious xD
Also, by the end of the Sims 3's run, mods and maintenance apps were around (as well as cache and folder tips), so a lot of the EP problems I heard about didn't (and haven't) happened to me, but I agree the deplorable execution issues are inexcusable. I maintain my game and my saves like a car I'd need to service regularly. It's lucky that it's such a wonderfully fun, lovable game because a lot of effort has been put into it - by the fanbase xD
Last thing: the store content is definitely overpriced, but I couldn't (and can't) resist, so I have almost all of it.

I've actually been thinking of buying the Sims 3.
How does the internet know... >.>
I absolutely love Island Paradise but I understand the lag. This doesn’t happen to me anymore though thank goodness. It only happened at the beginning
When my sims go to college or go to another country I make sure it is separated from my other saves and I save right before I choose to make the phone call...so if anything goes wonky I won't loose my main neighborhood.i mainly only have issues with the sims getting stuck in the apartment walls so I don't even bother with apartments
That's very smart. 👍
I love the Sims 3 so much, I think it's because that was the sims game that I grew up on and the expansions/free world were so freaking good 😩
It’d switch seasons and supernatural lol. I’d probably even move late night higher.
Which Mac ?
Okay sorry for last comment, that I have poor english, but if you don't have sims 3, buy the bundle one with generations, seasons, pets it's the best bundle for starter, it's only 24€ in my country :)
The bundles are an excellent way to get multiple games for less money. 👍
Ohh where can you get that from Origin? I really want the family packs like seasons generations but i don't really like supernatural or into the future
@@finp6094 i don't know if it's on origin, but one steam it is
I'm that simmer who prefer playing without seasons and pets :D
I'd better install "Into the Future" pack, cause I enjoy that esthetic.
What computer do you play on ?
Aww, Late Night was my favorite pack! You are totally right about the taxi's and subway though! Crazymaking!
Great video! I personally have been have fun with Into the Future. I find the pack to be very enjoyable but that's just me.
No, NOT the entire series from Steam. It's missing ONE stuf pack (my favorite): Sweet Treats (LOL). There is a mesh that's used by so many CC creators but is unavailable standalone. Also, the hangout and parks work better than most.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Nothing really important was lost
The only packs I'm missing are into the future, supernatural, island paradise, and all the stuff packs. I'm scared if I get more my game will be laggy. I also don't have any worlds, but I'm planning on getting Hidden Springs.
i got all eps and sps when they were on sale.
everything was 5 bucks each, totalling to about 100 dollars.
might sound like a lot, but it's a steal.
I just spent 20 bucks on the sims 4, sims 3 and 4 expansion packs for sims 3at my thrift store. AND I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THEM bcuz I LOVEEEE the sims
Quarantine. I'm on my weak pc at my mum's house. Gonna have to get into TS4. Will try. I doubt I will... I miss my gaming rig back at my place, it runs TS3 with relatively no problem.
Same i have a week pc it barely runs Ts3
Nice to have a recent Sims 3 video with a quick and honest review. Love it! There is a work around to reduce most of the lag though...But of course, it should work right from the start and not because of 3rd party mods.
got the entire game with everything for 60 US on a steam oopsie. MUAHAHAHA minus katyperry pack which idc bout
I would completely disagree about Late Night and say Island Paradise is worse regarding the lag etc I personally love the idea of being in a city and therefore forget about the lag and sims not getting into nightclubs I can work around that
absolutely crazy to see Late Night in such a low rank when that’s almost always a top 3 pack for most simmers
Ahh, so the tales of the lag issues with Island Paradise are true! I've only heard of them through a friend but I didn't know for sure!
I purchased a handful of steam sims 3 packs yesterday and they all transferred over to origin with the download keys!

They’re not going to put these on sale on steam again, are they?

@@gigisneckofthewoods Yeah, It probably is EA. I mean, I'm fine with paying the same price just with a € sign attached to it - even if it is a small premium, but this is just too much.

You can change the currency on the steam store. Unless you are actually in Europe then it's not safe to do so. Or you can just change it back to Euro after buying the Sims 3 games quickly.
I hardly play in island Paradise because of lag it gets annoying so I play with other packs.
My first sims game that i played for the first time is sims 4. I got bored of that game quickly so i was thinking about getting sims 3. Is that a good ideea?
I own sims 3 base game, I just dont know which packs to get first! any advice?
When I first got world adventures it did that thing that the world's never loaded at all so I would go back to my last save of that sim but for the university and future it's never done that for me guess I just get lucky lol
Which is better???
Sims 1
Sims 2
Sims 3
Sims 4
Me i would choose sims 3 or 2
I haven't played any of Sims 1 or enough of Sims 2 to pass judgement on them. Between Sims 3 and Sims 4, it's Sims 3 all the way.
I really want to buy the sims 3 and 1 of the expansion packs (I have enough money to pay myself) But i think my parents will say no because i already have sims 4 and pretty much all the packs but i guedd i will just ask them
Good luck to you!
They're usually on sale for 4.99, so why not buy every pack
Not everyone can drop $100 for everything and might only be able to buy a couple. I don't know how I would choose just a couple, if I had to buy the game again. There are too many excellent packs.
When it will be 4.99?
Eh.
I will admit that Sims 3 didn't have a whole lot for pets to do and after the resurgence in toys/games/stuff for pets in real life, I expected more for an expansion pack geared toward pets in the Sims 4.
i love the island paradise tho
I got every pack for free tbh I never bought an expansion past ambitions
@@gigisneckofthewoods Thanks! Also can you use cc and mods with the steam version?
@@wingwaibrown776 Yep, just make sure you have the right version. Steam is one version behind the Origin one. You'll need to make sure you get mods and cc compatible with that version of the game.
I’m here to see if I should buy the Sims 3 because the sims 4 is really boring
what website did you use to make your grading scale
I wish it still went on sale for $5
u can get ts3 for $1 on instant gaming
After watching this video am now wondering what's new in the Sims 4
What computer do you play on ?
If I have a physical copy of the sims 3 do I need to buy the dlc physically or can I buy them on steam ?
Steam requires you to buy/have the base game on your account before you can buy the DLC. You might be able to register your Sims 3 disc in Origin and then be able to buy the packs there.
I was literally watching this to see where you put towns... then you didn't LOL
I can always do store content and worlds in another video.
I only have generations, seasons and pets but I have more on sims 4
I don’t know why I’m watching this when I bought them all lmao. 😭 except for the sims 3 store stuff 🌝
Into the Future has the most boring loading screen ever. It's a shame that you have to mod the game in order to see the better ones again.
I payd notting, and i have all DLC's
great video! Very thorough. I'm going to get sims 3, and I'd also like to get an expansion pack. I'm thinking of choosing between generations and supernatural, though I'm leaning more towards supernatural... any recommendations?
My sims game doesnt lag. I think the lag u are saying is just your bad pc
Here are my specs, Intel Core i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz, 32GB Ram, Nvidia Geforce 1070 times 2. I can run any game I want, including any new games in 2020. My computer isn't struggling to play a potato computer game from 2014.
Into the future breaks every game file in which I time traveled so its a don't ever buy for me
Into the future is really temperamental. I wish they spent more time fixing the travel aspect of the game.
