Hey thank you very much. Just finished the passenger door. Unfortunately I failed emissions again today. They wrap should be here soon so that will be exciting. Thanks for watching!
I didn't see any there but I picked up 3 cans of the Iron Armor undercoating. Is that the same stuff they just don't call it bed liner? I was gonna do the underneath with it. I'm sure I'll be using it in future videos. Thanks telling me!
The iron armor is the harbor freight brand, but the undercoating is rubberized and it basically never dries. The bedliner is pretty much the same stuff, but it dries hard. I learned the hard way that here in Louisiana, it really needed to dry, not stay sticky forever. I can't imagine what that will be like in Arizona.
@@rodneysmothermon6113 Damn, thank you! So glad you said that, I'll definitely be doing a test piece before I go all in, thanks to you! It's super dry here but there's a little humidity this time of year. I wonder why they didn't have the bed liner version at my HF. Thanks again!
I actually tested both here at home and realized that, for me, the bedliner was the way to go. I did my wheel wells, skidpans, and my plastic bed caps and bug shield thing, with adhesion promoter, on the plastic parts. It's been on there over a year, and I couldn't be happier. Just my opinion, though. Anyway. Good luck, my friend
@@rodneysmothermon6113 I'll definitely test the undercoating first but then may need it to finish the back behind the seats if I run out of bedliner. Didn't realize how much more area it is than the front. On second thought I'd prob just bite the bullet and buy more bedliner and save the undercoating for underneath. Got a buddy coming over in an hour, hopefully we'll be welding the exhaust and fixing the LED headlights on his dad's Samurai.
Doors are looking great. Like the options with hurc on panels and the grey to match on ghe furniture. But the screws to hold the panels on seem a bit shiny. Also hear me out... maybe paint the screws the same grey to give it more of a custom look. Huh huh. Think about it haha. I think it would be a great look
Hello, have you considered the possibility of purchasing two rubber mats to place on the floor of the driver and passenger. It protected the ground and a tip (if you drive on soft sand and get stuck you can put it under the wheels and get traction). Keep up the good work and cheer.
Yes some generic in my opinion, here in Portugal you find them in various shapes and sizes and in the supermarket or in an auto accessories store, they are easy to clean and some are non-slip and have studs underneath for grip. Here is the suggestion. @@FixLife119
Hi have you considered joining any of the Facebook groups for these great little trucks? We have lots of fixing information and plenty of parts help. I have an 89 Geo Tracker and an 04 Chevy Tracker. Well just putting it out there. 👍
@@annavan2 Hi, yes I joined a few but I rarely ever get on FB unfortunately. But you're 100% right some really great info on there! I'll try to remember it's there when I have questions. Thank you!
I did on parts of the door. So many little tiny spots to get into. For the panels I was just being lazy and wanted something to do most of the work for me lol. Believe it or not that's the first time I've ever tried paint stripper, it worked really good once I put it on thick enough. I'm almost done sanding/brushing the passenger door. Just drove back down to emissions since replacing the cat and muffler. I think I failed worse this time than before. Thing runs great but I guess I'll have to figure out how to lean it up without blowing it up. I have an old Ford 460 (same year '87) that passes with flying colors and this thing just refuses to pass, I don't get it, any ideas? It runs great, doesn't smell rich, no smoke, I don't understand.
"The Great Indian Store" on Ebay. Kit came with everything in the video. Just looked it up for ya and realized they only have 93% positive feedback. I was happy though.
@@Louise_Coelho_ I just use my phone. It's a Google Pixel 6 Pro. I actually have 2 now because I broke the screen on my primary one, and after replacing the screen it was acting goofy, but Murphys Law, as soon as I bought a backup it's been good ever since. I think I paid like $230 for a refurbished 256GB one. They do pretty good they just overheat easy where I'm at.
Thanks. I have a 1988 and just started messing with it. Your video’s are great
Hey, thank you Larry, it means alot. Hopefully my fumbling on camera will save you some time somewhere along the lines lol.
Did you find the door seals? I think YT deletes comments with links or I'd attach it. I wanna say they were like $65 for the whole kit.
The door looks great!
Looks outstanding! Great work!!!
Hey thanks alot!
great progress

My favorite bed liner spray type was actually the harbor freight brand. It worked well for me on the ancillary stuff

the door panels are probably mirrors you can try swap left to right and and put the smooth side out and the diamond side in
Yeah that would probably work. It looks like someone cut these by hand. It all panned out it was just lots of work.

Dang I saw this too late. Grey screws would give it a nice accent, it's never too late, might have to do that.
Hope you do. I think it would like nice!

Hey that's a great idea. You mean just some generic floor mats or do you get like a sheet of rubber somewhere and cut it out?

use a wire brush, w/bed liner it would never show !

What company did you buy the windows weather seals from
