    Thanks for another great set of tips!✨ Maybe your next video can be about how your first month went (challenges, getting adjusted to work, expectations vs reality) or just how you spend an average weekend in Daegu?

    Hi Alex! Were you able to do your demo on the lesson plan you submitted on your application? Or did your interviewer assign you a random topic? Did you prep for both scenarios beforehand just in case? Love your videos and tips! I find them so helpful and am so glad you are shining your radiant light ☀️ in the world! 💕

    Thank you so much for another super helpful video!! 😊 when demonstrating your lesson did you run through the whole thing from start to finish or just a certain section like the production stage for example?

    • @itsalexmark
      @itsalexmark  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So personally for me, I just did a very small section of the lesson. I think it would be difficult to fit a 40 minute lesson in to the space of a couple of minutes - but whatever works for you! Glad you enjoyed the video :)

    @itsalexmark Hello. I selected middle school intermediate level-personality adjectives for my EPIK application. I'm worried about other topics or what they can ask for my demo lesson. Any other tips?

    • @itsalexmark
      @itsalexmark  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Kalyssa! So in terms of lesson demonstration, I just used the lesson plan that I submitted with my application so simply just used this to prepare. You should do the same with your middle school application too. If you prepare well, you will be absolutely fine! it's only 5 minutes too :)

    Great video! Was just wondering, are you expected to remain seated for your demo or can you standup? Thank you so much!

    • @itsalexmark
      @itsalexmark  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey :) I'm glad you enjoyed the video! You can do whatever works best for you as long as you are in the camera frame! Personally, I just remained seated, and it worked perfectly fine. I believe most people stay seated :) Best of luck!

    Where does the material for lesson come from? Is it provided or something you think of on the fly? Im debating epik vs hagwon and this demonstration part is kind of confusing.

    • @itsalexmark
      @itsalexmark  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Chet! At public school, we usually follow the schedule provided by the English textbooks. I use my time at my desk to create lesson plans surrounding the lessons in the text book. I've heard, although can not confirm, that Hagwons often have the lesson materials planned in advance so you do physically more teaching, but less time actually preparing the lessons (as they're already done). I hope this helps!

    Hi Alex! Should we have actual flashcards for props or do you think it'd be fine if i printed my "flashcards" that i made and that's what I'd show? Also, does the interviewer stop you when time is up or do they actually wait for us to conclude? I kind of a bad timing of gauging how long/short i talk

    • @itsalexmark
      @itsalexmark  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello :)
      Printing your own flashcards is absolutely fine - don't get spending any money on 'actual' flashcards though haha! And in all honesty - I can't quite remember! It might be useful to have a timer off camera which you can glance at just to make sure that you're sticking to the time though :)
      Hopefully this helps and best of luck with everything!

    Morning Alex! Hope you don’t mind the message. In relation to the demo portion and acting out a specific part; Is the demo lesson based around the lesson plan you’ve uploaded as part of the EPIK application? If not do you know if we’d be allowed to act out that portion of the lesson we’ve uploaded/created - thank you for the videos 🙌🏽

    • @itsalexmark
      @itsalexmark  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Daniel - hope you're good! I'm glad you enjoyed the videos! In terms of the lesson demonstration, you can do this on anything. The one you summitted as your lesson demonstration or something completely different! Just make sure you do it for the age range you want to teach at :) Hope this helps and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. No bother at all! Have a great day and best of luck with your application!
