- I am an EPIK English Teacher and I teach at 5 different schools. I was able to pass my EPIK interview, and I am here to give you 10 questions and answers that I prepared for my interview that made me feel confident. I also give tips to keep in mind when preparing for your interview! I hope you find this helpful! Fighting!!

This was a great, informative, and straightforward video! Interesting to hear you say you were a music therapist, as I've just recently completed my degree in therapy/counselling. I am looking to the interpersonal skills I've gained through those studies and work experiences as I prepare for my EPIK interview on Tuesday. Nice to know the answers I've been preparing aren't too far off from what you were saying!

@@EmilyBeggs little update: got hired at a non-EPIK school in Seoul, so I don't have to move (already lived here), and things have progressed better than I'd hoped for!

My mom is from Seoul but I can’t speak Korean well so I’m pursuing the opportunity to teach English in Korea to become closer to the culture and more educated about its people and to just learn to be a better mentor.

Is it anyhow possible for Indian to b an English teacher there.. coz i really like korean culture nd weather nd I've dn masters in English nd doing teacher's training..also hv experience in teaching

Indians are eligible to teach English in South Korea
Unfortunately Indian can't b a part of this😞
I read that there is a chance for you if you meet all other requirements and hold a teacher's license and should inquire to their email. Which you can find on their EPIK website if you google!
Bt in korea they only take 7 native English speaking country as their eng teacher... as an indian.. having teacher license nd hving master degree evn experience.. is there any chance to b teacher there.... pls cleàr me out .. i badly want to b teacher there..
@@zeenatibrahim729 Hello! I'm Debadrita from India. I'm also interested in the EPIK program and I mailed EPIK regarding the issue that whether Indian nationals are eligible for the program or not. And they replied me that Indian nationals can also apply if they meet all other requirements and hold a teacher's licence in English from their home country. I'll paste their reply here and if you've any further query or doubts you can mail them also, they'll reply you within 3-4 working days.

Thank you for your interest in teaching in Korea.
Indian nationals are eligible to apply through the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). To be eligible for positions through CEPA, Indian applicants need to hold a valid teaching license/certificate from their home country. TEFL certification is not a teaching license and will not fulfill this requirement. They must also have received their education in English from at least 7th year/grade and through university.
Positions under the CEPA agreement and for all positions in the program are on a "on demand" basis from the various offices of education throughout Korea, and there have been no requests for these positions for the Spring 2022 intake. Any availability for future terms will be announced on our website.
