When I first got into red velvet and nct back in 2017, I got into sm rookies. Lami and NingNing were my two bias from them, so when Lami left i cried. I was filled with happiness when ningning debuted.

She's expected to be lead dancer, lead(main rapper), and vocal. Although she wasn't given vocal parts cause Hina, Koeun, Herin are too great.

I love AESPA with the current number of members now. I don’t want it to change and become like rotating group which is not good. I am also an NCT fan but aespa is definitely better with just four members. They are able to have equal parts and fair roles. They are already good and talented as four, they don’t need to add more. AESPA with four members is enough.

@@felixssausage6662 i saw a tweet where it says that aespa was already planned during 2017, and giselle was the member that they were waiting for since giselle just became a trainee on 2019. maybe, just maybe, one reason why herin left on 2017 is because of the aespa plan while the other smrgg just waited for their contracts to end. kinda sad though because i am really looking forward to those four (hina, koeun, lami and herin), but i am happy at the same time because they are now free from sm.

I was pleasantly surprised, and delighted, by Aespa's visuals, as well as their performance and vocal skills. They really are going to be a major force in the industry, if SM doesn't drop the ball or mismanage them. I'm still not a fan of the AI members, though. With their talent and skills, the members can more than stand on their own without that gimmick!
Same... but it’s SM.... they got too many projects/groups and most likely will be all over the place with Aespa. Already SM messed up their debut by not releasing an album and pitting them against NCT for show wins.
I dont think Aespa was meant to win anything this year. Their debut is more like a predebut to showcase their visuals and talent as well as distracting knetz from recent SM scandals. Aespa winning something this year is just a bonus. Next year will probably where Aespa show full force, and in conjunction NCT will probably slow down so that both groups to avoid internal competition.

If they decide to add more members I prefer 2 or 3 so there won't be the any awkward feeling or comparisons from the public related to RV. But I agree, I don't want a big group, my limit for members is 7 because after that idols can easily get screwed after their contracts by being just another face in a crowd of people.

I personally don't think so I think smaller groups usually get to all shine brighter as members have more space to shine and not overwhelm each other ,there is no this member carry the group as every one can show what they got Don't get me wrong big groups can be splendid eg NCT EXO when they were 12 ,other big groups Izone or seveteen But Aespa Really complement each other now ,like their stage was hella good Like all the members have a great chemistry together,it feels well distributed and balanced but SM knows it's groups so I'll just wait until then

@Wandering Alpaca i'm actually thinking about the same thing too. if hina was already a great trainee but they kicked her out, then that means giselle has more to offer. maybe it also helps that she speaks english to attract i-fans, and also because they already had karina and winter for dance and they needed a rapper, they decided to go with giselle since she's an all rounder. maybe they were the ones competing for a japanese member spot in the group and i wish the best for the both of them.

*Hansol* , the only SRB member that was officially introduced that didn't debut. *Ningning* , the only SRG that got to debut 😭. How I wish Lami, Herin, Hina and Koeun debuted in one group. I was really rooting for them especially on their MMC days with Mark, Jaemin, Jeno, Donghyuck and Jisung.

I agree partially because let's face it: We know Red Velvet debuting in 2014 with only 4 members was kind of an emergency use of the upcoming group to distract the public from the scandals happening at that time and we know that Yeri was supposed to be a member but was still very young, RV was probably set to debut in 2015 when Yeri was oficially 16 in Korea. Today, ever since the concept of a group that keeps expanding in members the way we see with NCT is more acceptable and proven to be successful, but SM should be very clear in their intentions to not mislead the still small aespa fandom, cause I think once the fans set their support for a 4 member group, it's going to be harder to accept anyone new.
I was REALLY rooting for Koeun. She had the charisma, the vocals, the visuals plus she seemed to be such a good leader figure amongst the younger smr girls team. She even seem to look out for the boys too (future NCT Dream) I would've thought she would end up debuting like Seulgi and Johnny who trained for soooo many years but alas maybe it wasnt meant to be 😭
i hope they could still join (maybe some of them), but that's only if they still want to because we should still respect their decision if they already want to live a peaceful life. let's support them whatever their decision is!

In my opinion, being a trainee in a big company with all your competitions being hella talented, pretty and charismatic is very tough. It puts a lot of pressure on yourself to always come on top, being a trainee is basically a survivor. You have to do everything and be the best at everything to be picked. I hope the trainees who left are successful in their new paths.

My point was since Label V is SM Chinese sub-label, WayV is spoken of in a separate manner but it is not indicative of them not being part of the group so when people outside of the fandom talk about NCT, they almost always ensure they mention NCT and WayV as they're marketed that way.

I really don't want SM to add more members to Aespa. I like the contrast between NCT and Aespa. The new members will also get hate just like Yeri. NCT's case is different as being infinite in members is their concept.

If only kpop companies nowadays would consider debuting or recruiting Filipino trainees. If a Filipino idol were to debut in a kpop group, that company and group would have a massive advantage and breakthrough because people here in the Philippines are very in to kpop and they’re extremely supportive and enthusiastic of fellow Filipino’s.
I often think about Lami and Koeun probably being dropped from the debut lineup in 2020. They are talented and have so much hype behind them, but sm also is known to make trainees wait long periods of time to still not debut in the end. I mean, just check the average training time for snsd and red velvet, many spend a lot of their younger years training to debut close to age 20.
Hina really deserved to debut her vocal and dance skills are amazing I feel so bad for her ,I really like the aespa lineup but i think she would fit the grp too

I wish there was more about the SMROOKIES girls. They were robbed of their training, the original four (Herin, Lami, Koeun and Hina) were on a show called Mickey Mouse Club Party with a good handful of NCT members (dream line). They were going to debut but they didn’t get to it. Koeun trained for ten years. Lami trained for 8 years. Hina trained for 7 and fortunately Herin left early but all four were robbed of debut. Hopefully they either do go back to the entertainment industry, or at least make better lives for themselves now that they aren’t under a strict company. Good luck girls!
i feel like what SM is doing with the adding members to groups thing is clever. they get to add new talent, and i’m assuming as the group members grow out of the career or want to leave they can leave with much less fuss, since the group will still continue and grow. these groups could potentially last decades haha

I still don't have any update from Hina... Hope she is doing well..

If there are 3 new members join aespa, I guess it will happen in the early of 2022 or later. Cause the most important thing for aespa is gaining more global fans as solid base. And so many fans can’t wait to see Giselle to show her rap and vocals, also, Karina didn’t fully show her dancing skills and vocals. Fans are hungry to know how multi-talented of these 4 girls. Most importantly, don’t forget the concept of BLACK MABA, there are “another 4 ae-members” didn’t show their stories in the MVs and on the live stages. It will be very interesting to gradually reveal the story concept of BLACK MABA which SM really good at. TELLING STORIES completely is EVERYTHING for SM. Btw, I think these 4 girl’s language abilities are good enough for global developing. We all know Giselle could speak 3 languages, it won’t be overloading for her, cause Karina and Winter are also good at Japanese, on the other hand, Karina could speak Chinese really well (I’m Taiwanese, I think I am good enough to judge Karina’s Chinese), then, Giselle could put more focus on English speaking in every public.
I think people misunderstood Aespa and what SM is trying to accomplish. In my teory I don't think SM will add another member. There are lots saying that Sm will another members but to me it doesn't seems like that. Some says the song lyrics made it clear saying it's the other members name but the lyrics like FLAT, SYNK and KWANGYA are actually the names of the Aespa universe. FLAT was the the place where the real world and virtue world met and KWANGYA was the universe of the Black Mamba and SYNK is what connect them with their æ. I think people don't understand the storyline.

I love AESPA with the current number of members now. I don’t want it to change and become like rotating group which is not good. I am also an NCT fan but aespa is definitely better with just four members. They are able to have equal parts and fair roles. They are already good and talented as four, they don’t need to add more. AESPA with four members is enough.

sm wasted koeun and lami. koeun’s the same age with mark, and imagine she trained for 8 to 9 years just to leave sment like that? i felt like she wasted her childhood waiting for her debut, but nothing came. lami started so young like jisung, but ended up leaving the company also. that precious girl i hope she’s continuing her studies. :((((

@@felixssausage6662 i saw a tweet where it says that aespa was already planned during 2017, and giselle was the member that they were waiting for since giselle just became a trainee on 2019. maybe, just maybe, one reason why herin left on 2017 is because of the aespa plan while the other smrgg just waited for their contracts to end. kinda sad though because i am really looking forward to those four (hina, koeun, lami and herin), but i am happy at the same time because they are now free from sm.

I was pleasantly surprised, and delighted, by Aespa's visuals, as well as their performance and vocal skills. They really are going to be a major force in the industry, if SM doesn't drop the ball or mismanage them. I'm still not a fan of the AI members, though. With their talent and skills, the members can more than stand on their own without that gimmick!
Same... but it’s SM.... they got too many projects/groups and most likely will be all over the place with Aespa. Already SM messed up their debut by not releasing an album and pitting them against NCT for show wins.
I dont think Aespa was meant to win anything this year. Their debut is more like a predebut to showcase their visuals and talent as well as distracting knetz from recent SM scandals. Aespa winning something this year is just a bonus. Next year will probably where Aespa show full force, and in conjunction NCT will probably slow down so that both groups to avoid internal competition.

@Wandering Alpaca i'm actually thinking about the same thing too. if hina was already a great trainee but they kicked her out, then that means giselle has more to offer. maybe it also helps that she speaks english to attract i-fans, and also because they already had karina and winter for dance and they needed a rapper, they decided to go with giselle since she's an all rounder. maybe they were the ones competing for a japanese member spot in the group and i wish the best for the both of them.

How I wish Lami, Herin, Hina and Koeun debuted in one group. I was really rooting for them especially on their MMC days with Mark, Jaemin, Jeno, Donghyuck and Jisung.

We know Red Velvet debuting in 2014 with only 4 members was kind of an emergency use of the upcoming group to distract the public from the scandals happening at that time and we know that Yeri was supposed to be a member but was still very young, RV was probably set to debut in 2015 when Yeri was oficially 16 in Korea. Today, ever since the concept of a group that keeps expanding in members the way we see with NCT is more acceptable and proven to be successful, but SM should be very clear in their intentions to not mislead the still small aespa fandom, cause I think once the fans set their support for a 4 member group, it's going to be harder to accept anyone new.

I was REALLY rooting for Koeun. She had the charisma, the vocals, the visuals plus she seemed to be such a good leader figure amongst the younger smr girls team. She even seem to look out for the boys too (future NCT Dream) I would've thought she would end up debuting like Seulgi and Johnny who trained for soooo many years but alas maybe it wasnt meant to be 😭

In my opinion, being a trainee in a big company with all your competitions being hella talented, pretty and charismatic is very tough. It puts a lot of pressure on yourself to always come on top, being a trainee is basically a survivor. You have to do everything and be the best at everything to be picked. I hope the trainees who left are successful in their new paths.

My point was since Label V is SM Chinese sub-label, WayV is spoken of in a separate manner but it is not indicative of them not being part of the group so when people outside of the fandom talk about NCT, they almost always ensure they mention NCT and WayV as they're marketed that way.

I really don't want SM to add more members to Aespa. I like the contrast between NCT and Aespa. The new members will also get hate just like Yeri. NCT's case is different as being infinite in members is their concept.
I know it's been a year. But I want you to know that I agree. Hehe It's the first time SM put together members with above average vocals. Like all 4 of them can sing!
If only kpop companies nowadays would consider debuting or recruiting Filipino trainees. If a Filipino idol were to debut in a kpop group, that company and group would have a massive advantage and breakthrough because people here in the Philippines are very in to kpop and they’re extremely supportive and enthusiastic of fellow Filipino’s.

I like Aespa as a 4 member small group. It would be interesting if they add people but I like how small they are so they all have time to shine.
I often think about Lami and Koeun probably being dropped from the debut lineup in 2020. They are talented and have so much hype behind them, but sm also is known to make trainees wait long periods of time to still not debut in the end. I mean, just check the average training time for snsd and red velvet, many spend a lot of their younger years training to debut close to age 20.
Hina really deserved to debut her vocal and dance skills are amazing I feel so bad for her ,I really like the aespa lineup but i think she would fit the grp too

I wish there was more about the SMROOKIES girls. They were robbed of their training, the original four (Herin, Lami, Koeun and Hina) were on a show called Mickey Mouse Club Party with a good handful of NCT members (dream line). They were going to debut but they didn’t get to it. Koeun trained for ten years. Lami trained for 8 years. Hina trained for 7 and fortunately Herin left early but all four were robbed of debut. Hopefully they either do go back to the entertainment industry, or at least make better lives for themselves now that they aren’t under a strict company. Good luck girls!

i feel like what SM is doing with the adding members to groups thing is clever. they get to add new talent, and i’m assuming as the group members grow out of the career or want to leave they can leave with much less fuss, since the group will still continue and grow. these groups could potentially last decades haha

Cause the most important thing for aespa is gaining more global fans as solid base. And so many fans can’t wait to see Giselle to show her rap and vocals, also, Karina didn’t fully show her dancing skills and vocals. Fans are hungry to know how multi-talented of these 4 girls.
Most importantly, don’t forget the concept of BLACK MABA, there are “another 4 ae-members” didn’t show their stories in the MVs and on the live stages. It will be very interesting to gradually reveal the story concept of BLACK MABA which SM really good at. TELLING STORIES completely is EVERYTHING for SM.
Btw, I think these 4 girl’s language abilities are good enough for global developing. We all know Giselle could speak 3 languages, it won’t be overloading for her, cause Karina and Winter are also good at Japanese, on the other hand, Karina could speak Chinese really well (I’m Taiwanese, I think I am good enough to judge Karina’s Chinese), then, Giselle could put more focus on English speaking in every public.

I think people misunderstood Aespa and what SM is trying to accomplish. In my teory I don't think SM will add another member. There are lots saying that Sm will another members but to me it doesn't seems like that. Some says the song lyrics made it clear saying it's the other members name but the lyrics like FLAT, SYNK and KWANGYA are actually the names of the Aespa universe. FLAT was the the place where the real world and virtue world met and KWANGYA was the universe of the Black Mamba and SYNK is what connect them with their æ. I think people don't understand the storyline.
SM needs more women I wish the rumors of adding 3 members is true, we need big girl group SM!
