i had to split tempo because i wanted to include both parts of the bridge and i didn't want to have a whole minute straight of just one bridge.
and apparently the bridge in snsd's 'the boys' isn't actually a bridge, but weirdly rather a third pre-chorus which lies in between two separate bridges, but whatever. it's not my fault that song has such a weird song structure.
I hope you include NCT-U Boss's bridge, but it's ok because every SM's bridge is the best 😊

For me, Tempo's Bridge will always remain superior. An Acapella Bridge is seriously a vocal flex (boasting the harmonization & diversity in EXO's vocal capabilities).
Just came upon this today and I love how I was able to /SEAMLESSLY/ sing each bridge-- that's how iconic they truly are. On a separate note, my heart aches to see all the departed members that once filled my teenage years with so much joy. RIP to the two angels and I hope the other earthbound four are thriving

I think there are 2 reasons why SM's songs have the best bridges in Kpop:
1. They have the best vocalists in Kpop who were trained to sing their hearts out with perfect techniques: Taeyeon, Tiffany, Krystal, Luna, Baekhyun, Chen, D.O, Taemin, Jonghyun, Wendy, Seulgi, Joy, Doyoung, Taeil, Renjun, Haechan, etc. The other members in the groups are also able to do harmonization or ad-libs to support the vocalists.
2. They have the most open-minded and innovative producers, who are not afraid to experiment with the new sounds and make the weirdest yet most iconic songs you have ever heard.

luna hands down the best and underrated
vocalists under SM are just wow. the golden trio of Super Junior (Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung) for example. My fave is of course Jonghyun, but Onew with his character voice is also unique.

Yes, that's very true. SM is the only agency in South Korea that still holds tightly to what it means to be a group vocal. In the 3rd generation, what I think I still consider as a vocal group is only EXO, Red Velvet, Mamamoo, and NCT.
