    The jelly felt amazing on my skin, made me skin feel very soft and smooth. I feel this helped my skin a lot more than the usual dramatically different as this made my skin sore and red the day after!

      Tasha white While I was watching, I was thinking, you sound like you'd be so fun to be friends with!
      I love your honesty 👍👍
      I have psoriasis (kinda like eczema - in that it's sensitive, red, flaky and sometimes itchy) over almost my entire "T-zone" (I've had it on my face for about 15 yrs) and having you test it too, was sooo helpful to me!!
      Thank you for enduring the pain/stinging sensation of the regular one, for us for this review!! 🙌🙌 You're a legend!!

      Amy Astrid you could try RhealCosmetics! It’s an small indie brand but it’s ALL 100% natural and organic and you won’t break the bank purchasing from them. My skin has benefitted sooooo much from their products. I highly recommend it :-)

      What do you think about the cartridges that are Sakura, Angelica Root and Cica? I am using the Cica with the bb base now and it’s amazing. Just ordered the Sakura in the sale and will see! Thanks for the helpful videos! I am way older than you but I enjoy the content!, thanks!

    I have been using this jelly for six months now and I could feel the anti pollution effect. I commute to my university everyday by train and I noticed that I would get acne due to the dust in the air. During my semester break; when I stay at home, my skin didn't breakout. After I switch to this jelly, I rarely get any pimples. Another I thing that I observed was the amount of dirt on the cotton pad when I apply my toner is lesser meaning the jelly creates some barrier that prevents dirt from clogging my pores. I think the anti-pollution feature is really cool for those who easily get acne/pimples when exposed to pollution.

    A staff of Clinique in my area recommended me to take Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly plus green cartridge for delicate skin and Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel for my dehydrated and oily (or combination-oily, I'm not sure) skin.
    Yet someone from Clinique live-chat actually told me that both of them are basically the same which are basic moisturizers so you have to choose one. Don't you think it's redundant to buy both products and use one overlaying the other? Not to mention it'll be costy as well.

    Your video is amazing and informative Amy!! I am debating between the jelly and the gel product myself but still can't decide. Which product do you think is better for acne and controlling oil? Or would you recommend one product more in winter and the other in summer?

    Thanks for a great review and for Tasha getting involved too! I also have dry sensitive skin, and recently tried this with the blue cartridge. I don't mind the tacky feel, but I don't feel like I get enough hydration, so have started adding Moisture Surge on top to boost the hydration - this has made all the difference and I won't be getting the DDHJ again when I finish it.

    • @sabr4174
      @sabr4174 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m late to this comment, but I have dry skin to and I put on a thick moisturizer first (cetaphil) and then use the jelly with the green cartridge as an alternative to a serum. It’s worked great for me that way!

    What is the difference between the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and the Hydrating Jelly? Thanks!!

    • @AmyAstridBeauty
      @AmyAstridBeauty  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Benjamin Truong the gel is for oily skin types and the jelly is for all skin types. The jelly also has anti-pollution technology which the gel doesn’t have.

    Hello! Could you please say the brush you used while washing your face? It appears to be rather comfortable, wanna purchase that one)

  • @Linda-sh4pf
    @Linda-sh4pf 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You call it "tacky" which says (and feels) "almost sticky" to me. But if my fingers stick to it, then why wouldn't dust and pollutants stick also? So much for the "anti-pollution effect". Also, since sunscreen is so important, should you use this over sunscreen or under it? Sunscreen is vital.

    • @AmyAstridBeauty
      @AmyAstridBeauty  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Good question! I think the idea is that it forms a barrier over the skin which prevents pollutants from entering your pores but I could be wrong, that’s just my guess. Personally, I use a makeup primer with SPF40 every day so I apply that over the top of the moisturiser and underneath my foundation but I’m not sure about other sun protection products

      I think it’s a great way to get moisture into your skin without leaving oily residue so I would say yes! If in doubt, pop into your local Clinique counter and I’m sure they’d be able to try it out on you or give you a little sample pot to take home ❤️

    Hi... what is the difference between moisture surge and this dramatically jelly?

    • @AmyAstridBeauty
      @AmyAstridBeauty  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      good question! I believe they’re both water-based and they do have quite a similar texture. I think the main differences are that the DDHJ uses that CleanShield technology to protect your skin from pollution, but the Moisture Surge uses an auto-replenishing technology to keep your skin hydrated for longer but does not protect from pollution. I really like the DDHJ’s light-weight feel and the idea of it being anti-pollution but the Moisture Surge is definitely more hydrating. If you haven’t already seen, I have another video about Moisture Surge which explains the technology behind that a little bit better 😊 hope that helps!

      I’ve never tried the original moisturiser because I have oily skin so can only use the gel or the jelly but I’ve heard really great things about it and I’m pretty sure it’s the top selling moisturiser in the UK. If you’re unsure, I’d recommend going into your local Clinique counter and asking them to try it on you so you can see how it feels. Hope that helps!

    Ooh, I like you!! Tash too - she's cool! So I 👍, subscribed and 🔔!
    Was actually looking for a review on the difference between the Moisture Surge 72hr and the Moisture Surge Intense, when I found you - I didn't find that, but I found you and I feel like that may just be more helpful!! 😊😊
    I'm brand spankin' new to the Clinique range - usually I just have an array of ointments and such, for my psoriasis. I've just gotten into makeup too, so I've been looking into psoriasis-friendly base products.
    I got sample pots of CMS serum, intense, mask, cc cream and beyond perfecting concealer at a Clinique Counter a couple of days ago and am so far impressed with the serum, intense and mask 👍👍
    No redness after removing makeup - which is super freakn awesome!!! 😍🎉
    So, I'm keen to buy these products in their largest pots and wanted to know which out of 72hr and Intense, really does the job - so I don't have to invest in both, thinking they're different, if they're kinda the same.
    The Dramatically Different jelly sounds like a winner as a primer substitute (I'm missing a decent primer for my new regime) - I'll have to get a sample of it, too!!! 👍
    Ps. Thanks heaps for your review!!! 💗

    • @AmyAstridBeauty
      @AmyAstridBeauty  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! I’m glad you’ve found something that seems to be working for you. In my opinion, the Moisture Surge 72-hour is very lightweight and more of a gel texture while the Moisture Surge intense feels much more creamy so it really depends on what you prefer. I know Tash prefers the Moisture Surge intense for her skin so maybe give that one a go! Hope that’s helpful xx

      Chris Joseph thanks! I did do my research on the ingredients but I meant that I couldn’t really tell through the look or feel of my skin if it was being protected from pollution or not. I’ll include more about the ingredients and how they support the claims next time so thank you! ☺️
