Couple of ideas for you Dave that are local... Anfield cemetery could be worth a vist, famous people like Bill Shankley, James Maybrick... St James cemetery, Anglican Cathedral, St Marys Walton on the the hill (dates back futher than the Doomsday book) Sefton church in Lunt Sefton (thechurch has stood on the site since the late thirteenth century) Further afield York would be a interesting place & to stop over, plenty of sites there...
Well i have walton pinned as i lived right next to it years back. york is in me plans for both channels including national rail museum😁. ter sefto church looks good ill pin that. i have a few down south to that look good and canton to in edinbugh but thanks for the heads up. yer will defo do anfeild for sure. 😃
IHS means i have suffered referring to the suffering on earth christ went through to save us but on graves is used as a symbol of devotion to him,its also a combination of the first three letters of jesus' name in greek. it was in huge letters on the front of my secondary school and the running joke was it stood for i hate school lol

ohh right yer i remember other graveyards and they also had them to but some had the parish markings to. think we all hated school😂
