  • Wow..! LSL taking advantage of a quiet WCML to allow their Class 55 Racehorse to stretch it's legs with a non-stop run to Carlisle!
    See D9000 'Royal Scots Grey' in very fine form at speed through Rugeley.
    Also seen are a mix of freight workings - With the majority running early and a couple of rare captures on the fast-lines.
    Hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching.

    Freight is soooo much more interesting than passenger stock - but when hauled by a Deltic, that's an exception! Thanks for sharing, what a great place to watch trains!

    Deltic is doing 102mph by my estimate! :D
    Looking at the time it took the train to pass one of the patches in the ballast and the video frames, I'd estimate it took the train 3.93 seconds for its 179.9m (5 car DBSO, CL55, CL87, 2x standard opens) length to pass.

    • @martinplatt5928
      @martinplatt5928 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      1609 metres in a mile. That's 35.15 seconds to do a mile. 3600 seconds in an hour so 3600/35.15 = 102.41 mph if my maths is correct.

  • @eyup121

    What are the disks for on the end wagon of the 6M13?

    • @butikimbo9595
      @butikimbo9595 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not entirely sure but those wheels (not discs) might have something to do with manual mechanisms of the wagons and possibly manual brakes. But as i mentioned before not sure as is at least one on the side of them as many other wagons use to have though to manual brake them but on the rear is not so common and i do not know what are they for. Hope it helps.
