The R and the 911 are without doubt two of the most iconic and beautiful machines ever built. To improve them so marvelously is an astonishing achievement. That was an awesome video too. Thanks.
This is an astonishing achievement! 1000 builds in 32 years is phenomenal…. The custom CB750 tank and subtle changes ‘fit’ this motorcycle very well. And, the Porsche color scheme is a nice touch. This is one of the best BMW R conversions that I’ve seen. And, as always, thank you for Racer TV, the Café racers only choice! Hope all is well my friend…. Ride safe….. cheers:)
I perfectly remember Marcus Walz and his projects. Wonderful. Congratulations on his splendid work. It is a pity that there are only seven years left to manufacture the last one.
Wow the 1000 bike is the best yet. The proportions are so good! The R series always look like they are trying to compensate a little but that is just stunning.
First class build, truly....and I am glad the builder put his name on the tank - it is well deserved. And thank YOU for the platform to allow your passion to inspire us builders for all these years. YOU are the cafe racer visionary that keeps us imagining. Salute.
Hey racer. l like your channel and it's also nice that Walzwerk is located at my hometown. ln my opinion Mr. Walz is a genius in marketing and design .
There is no doubt that BMW has made it's mark in the motorcycle universe and custom realm, especialy with the R and K series. While I am not much of a fan of the horizontal twin design, there have been some stunning transformations of what appears to be a bulky, cumbersome looking machines. What Marcus has been able to accomplish over 1000 builds and 32 years is astonishing! That being said, there are many custom BMW builders as well, but none that I am aware of so singularly focused. Walzworks has a great future ahead of them, and the fact that you have showcased his work doesn't hurt either. I look forward to more builds by Marcus, and coverage by you! Also, his 32 unit run to commemorate his sucess is a great idea! If I could still ride, I would seriously consider attempting to purchase one of the 32. God's speed Marcus, my best to your success!!!
Excellent video Racer, as always. Marcus has done a brilliant job with this air head and 1000 bikes in 32 years. outstanding job. That 911 looks very cool, ride safe and take care mate. Cheers
1000 divided by 32 equals 31.25 motorcycles per year. 31.25 divided by 12 equals 2.6 motorcycles per month. 2.6 motos per month divided by four equals 0.65 moto parts per week. 0.65 motorcycle parts between seven to 0.093 motorcycle parts per day. Without resting for a single day, whatever and still resting is an impressive effort. Receiving the motorcycle and the order, establishing the balance between the wishes of the client and the personal style of the creator. Find the pieces or build them. Even in the case of a team of builders who work with a single brand, it is an outstanding task. I like the commemorative motorcycle, even with the tank that shows that gap between the engine and the tank itself. Looks great!
Hello Alejandro, Very interesting numbers indeed. According to Marcus, Right now they average around 100 builds a year. This means most of their projects, were built in recent years.Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Saludos
Very clean, very lean and highly desirable: a huge leap from the thickness and the too-seen look that most transformations since BMW's R' fall on. In fact the engine block, now freed from constraints, looks exquisite too.
Another great video my friend. I also found the gap under the tank and under the seat makes the bike look unfinished. A lot of these bikes with the K series have that fault when they use the existing frame as it is. I would love to see a K series build that addresses the gap. Thanks again my friend and soon we will be riding again.
That is a very nicely done BMW I often watch your channel for inspiration, even the same episodes over and over 👍🏼 I used a different tank on my r100, it totally transformed the bike, I also built an air box that flows with the lines of the tank, just as you said in your photoshop transformation 👍🏼 I would love for you to show it on your channel Wayne 👍🏼
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. On this case, with the exception of the new kit of rear suspension, all the modifications on this BMW, are TUV approved, and road legal. :) Cheers.
Very impressersive numbers....32 years, 1000 motorcycles! What might shock me is if Marcus used 999 BMW original fat tanks all those years on the other bikes. Boring! Seeing the rear suspension developed by the Lorenzo Brothers being used on Marcus prized bike just goes to show you who the real talented builders of the world are. Hope the Brothers are getting royalty checks from YSS.
Yes, I understand your perspective. the Brazilian brothers are really very creative on customizations. Unfortunately, right since the created the rear suspension kit, they also discovered it was very difficult to sell them in Europe. I believe they sold the patent. But we have to recognize the brilliant success of Marcus Walz. Just like someone already said here, "Mr. Walz is a genius in marketing and design ." :) Cheers.
The Honda tank works! Initially I thought it was a first generation Goldwing tank. I would prefer a boneline parallel to the ground which would even out that under tank gap. Lovely machine and great performance numbers. Now, if it had the aftermarket Krauser 4 valve heads installed that would be boxer R style Nirvana! 🇨🇦
Excellent idea about the first generation Goldwing fuel tank. You are probably right. I think It would fit perfectly. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Great story!!, beautiful motorcycles, personally I prefer the K series engines over the R series to build a Cafe racer "but" as I said; that's my personal test 👍🏻
Thank you my friend Carlos for sharing your opinion. Yes, The R series engine is too different from the rest, which explains why some people don't like them.Perfectly understandable. :) Cheers.
Envie-me umas fotos quando terminar o projecto. :) Um abraço
Adorei bastante o formato do vídeo, a homenagem e claro a motoca! Números são sempre impressionantes, mas, também sigficam que muitos obstáculos foram superados, e essa superação é que merece os parabéns.. É muito mais fácil desistir! Parabéns e aguardo ansioso o próximo vídeo!
I was expecting some people would say that. And that is quite understandable due to the original's fuel tank personality. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.

I fist saw Mr Walz on an episode of biker build off his bike was cool then
I like bmw flat twins but these are just not practical in anyway or road legal. So whats the point?

About K100 pleas
What, you don't have motorcycles, and aircooled Porsches in your workshop.
Loool. Thank you my friend for sharing your "rich" perspective. :) Cheers.
Don’t like the way the line between the gas tank and the seat goes vertically it should be straight line
Those fuel tanks from the honda CB750F Super Sport will bolt on to a triumph 650 tiger air cooled twin
The seat is to small and don’t fit with the looks
i like the bmw tank better
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
i would have made the engine black, thats the only thing i dont like about it
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
