I have one of these too but mine sucks big time. It doesn't break well, the clutch gets pulled when I turn, leaks oil, leaks gas, battery doesn't charge properly. And all this after I fixed some things on it. Next on my list to rebuild the carburetors and then the engine. So far it was eating money like crazy.
The brake lines are mounted the wrong way around. The bleeder nipple has to sit on the top. It's difficult to achieve but it's possible with spacers to fit it the right way. sorry.
A lot of mixed feeling on this build. The black on black with just the right amount of chrome and silver showing through is Gorgeous. The seat is a big miss, glad to hear that you plan on some changes there. The clip-ons and snowflake rims mounted with knobs makes the functional part of my brain scream in pain. So chew those knobs away and put some proper bob tires on there. Never really been a fan of wrapped exhausts. Always feels like the easy way out of covering up problems. But I guess it fits the split personality of "cover up rock dings on a scrambler" theme.
Honestly i do dislike the seat, as mentioned in the video. That said, even including the seat, this is hands down the single most gorgeous r100 i have ever seen. It's gnarly and elegant at the same time, how does that even works? But the builder pulled it off somehow. Nothing missing but also nothing added. This is pure.
It’s a nice machine but the tyres are just too extreme for bike that will never go off-road. The ATE front brakes were around until 1980. I love the look but they’re marginal at best (I’ve had 4 R100 variants with them). The rear looks scary. I’d worry about the seat dumping the rider on to that very bumpy tyre! Ouch. Carb/throttle balance is critical on these and it sounds off. Set up properly they’re excellent and easy to ride pulling from tickover in top. Have fun!
In the name of the iconic BMW R100 Cafe Build. You look like you're about 5'4 in stature and that bikes height is below your waist.Quite scary sitting low like that!
Beautiful but that seat must go. It is not safe. One little mishap and he's going to get sucked into the frame crotch first. Otherwise, f****** awesome job.
Painting the wheels (and everything else) black is also laziness. If you bothered to make an effort, the result might be even better! How's that for an idea ??
The beauty of the original R500 next to it is testimony alone .
Yes indeed.
Amazing looking bike, kudos 👏 to the builder. Overall, it's a beautiful bike👍👍👍👍👍
We agree!
Classic bike is beautiful
Interesting the shocks are mounted in that location, I was told the old subframe mounts won’t be strong enough

most beautiful custom BMW R100 ever ... and even the sound is uohhhhh
It sounds awesome, seriously cool bike.
Stunning
Very well done!
Thank you very much!
I like more the /5 on the video.
Fabulous build!

Where the hell did they put the battery?
hey, nice bike! where did you buy the fog light with mount?
Gorgeous.
What headlight is that?
What exhaust or muffler do you have on there??
I'm looking to build a bmw cafe here in Colorado but don't know where to start
@@MentalWealthInc get a good bike for a base first. Tons of aftermarket. Also check out eme. Euro moto electrics. Awesome company for stuff
Sorry for your loss.
Who makes the exhaust?
Yea!?!
Where did you get the side light? The yellow one?
I want to know also, I presume it's a "Hella" brand fog light, yet I'm not quite sure of the model, If you figure it out please let me know. thanks !
I think it's rockin' but I'd be afraid to push hard on it with those knobbies underneath.
how do I lookup the builder of the bike?
He’s hopefully going to do public builds soon
I like where the license plate is mounted. In Europe that would ne illegal
It’s illegal here too 😂
Sounds like a harley showelhead
Nice bike. Where did you get the side stand? I want one like it that locks in the down position.
The stock side stand can be made to either lock down or spring return, depending on how you configure it...

I like your opinions, those are some great points. the color combo is great, i agree. I told him one speed bump on that seat and adios to the pants.
Excellent aesthetics :) Seems like a quality build. thank you for sharing. Can you please specify the tyre size/type ?

Does your friend have an insta so that we can continue to see images of his bike?
WHY, those knobby tires won’t be effective on the pavement, a Metzler road tire would look & ride well.
Two minutes off road and you’ll be blind, blathered and wanting to go home. Look cool but……..

Vapes 😅

um really you bastardised a nice classic ride around the world bike to bones with nobby tires ?
That's what I think when I see this stuff. Modify worn parts only, for classics.
Yeah, nice....but the same everybody is building since some years
Amazing. Invest thousands and make it way less usefull.
An R100 is not "vintage".
@@jeffhildreth9244 ok cupcake 🤣

You met my expectations.

Spoiled a good bike
Completely pointless as a scrambler, only built for posing. The first time that goes off the seal the sump will get ripped off.
It's so ugly
Must be horrendous to ride on the road with those nobblys.
Also not sure about the shoes....or the man bun.
I'm out of here
