My biggest take aways from this podcast. 1. As a woman who didn't grow up with brothers and close male friends, I'm learning alot about how men think. 2. If he wanted to, he would. 3. I might not agree with some things Mike says, but he has alot of wisdom. Great leadership right there.
Also Mike, brothers like you who are accountable, stay true to their word & hold down their households are rare in today's society. Give Shiko grace & never get tired of reassuring her if that's what puts her mind at ease
I can see Mike’s point. The thinking is from good will and responsible men usually feel as if they don’t want to hustle their women with details that will worry them. Since he will remain consistent, Shiku will gain trust with time.
I love this podcast. Just got wind of it the other day and I have listened to all the episodes. Mike and Shiko, you’all doing an amazing job. And congrats on your nuptials.
Congratulations on your union guys 💝 The thing we need to understand is how we're used to operating & making decisions as independent individuals, will drastically shift once coming together as a couple/family unit. I think when it comes to major purchases (cars, land, houses) partners, especially married couples need to keep their significant others in the loop, just so that each party can feel included & give their input. You may come home with a title deed of land you purchased for us in Lamu, then it gets dismissed probably coz there was something better she had spotted in Tigoni with a higher R.O.I. Then everyone ends up catching feelings chini ya maji 😩 which could have been avoided through simple communication
What if you die in the process of buying? Before completing the transaction? Life is lived through conversations, no need to get your partner anxious. Two become one.
I've enjoyed the discussion. Shiko is right in some way. We women like the finer details too much. Besides our Kikuyu men have been known to keep things to themselves leaving us to deal with big betrayals in later years.
I'm investigating In this relationship ❤ I'm happy listening to Mundo and Shiku. Soon we shall be at 100k subs.. i love the consistence and every bit of the discussions. Also Mike, more oftenly call SHIKU SWEETHEART and such other names 😊😊
Blind trust is never a good idea. And the two shall become one - that means you plan and execute together. Let's not underestimate the pressure of handling everything financial on your own. This is why so many men have taken out second mortgages without telling their wives or gone into gambling debt. All of it is our money and we decide how it's used for the benefit of our family. We are one. Shiko's anxiety can only be alleviated by knowing whats going on
I’ve heard my man through Mike throughout the episode. Wow…just wow. Glad to know that I’m not the only one who overthinks…and loves to have details in every scenario.. 😂
I see where Shiko Nguru is coming from in terms of buying a land....l would gladly be ok if the plot involves both parties BUT would have a problem when a man buys a land in secret under his name not once /twice n never disclose to the wife, but comfortable telling friends out there...why the hypocrisy ???
So, a man should not consult before buying a car, but a woman who is buying her car with her own money, or buying a plot with her own income from her work/business, are expected to consult?? This is ridiculous, given that in most relationships these days, the women equally contribute financially, in addition to the non-monetary contributions. If a woman's money is not used for the family, then she should not be consulted by the man, but surely, these days women work, pay school fees, contribute to mortgages, we buy our own cars etc., because we do earn similar to our men.
I agree that couples should not suffocate each other. Give each other room because we are all adults with lives outside marriage not unless you don't trust each other.
Arnold Schwarzenegger did not come clean about siring a baby with the house keeper. The poor wife found realised the kid was his because he looks like him more than the ones he had with his wife.
Mike Mike Mike what happened to words of wisdom at the end ???😢😢 I thought in the previous blog you promised to get back to it 🤓🥺really loved that part...ending in a banger or cliffhanger of food for though ❤❤❤❤.
My mind is only on overdrive when it comes to my kids. My husband even brought a dog to the house wuehh!!! Let me wait for my Mike in the next life. Na book ya Esther iko where 😅. For real Mike is so wise.
I read somewhere that the reason why God didn't create the woman first is because he didn't want to be given advice Mike, that is also coming out from you as l listen to you😂😂
I'm glad I'm not the only who sees this. She is a feminist and I'm certain she struggles with submission. Mike is a typical African man; I pray she improves on that. I'm rooting for these two
I have come to like Mike, was always a fan of Shiku,am so happy for you guys and may God PRESERVE THIS UNION!! CONGRATULATIONS AM HAPPY FOR YOU!

Shiko has zero chills, if a relationship isn’t working, you move on to the next

Aiiii…. I don’t know about this 🚩🚩🚩
You didn't talk about Esther at all😅
The idea is to take a lesson from her of trusting without knowing everything and having faith that it will be done

Love listening to you guys 💕 congratulations 👏👏 n May God bless your union
You guys are amazing ❤️.
Shiko operates under the bigger picture. This frustrates those who only consider the now.

Hii ni kupigia mbuzi kinanda, only a young childless and unmarried woman can sit back and let the man lead
