My ex was 6’7 and when we would go out people (mostly women) would come up to him an ask “how tall are you” and He would get so upset and furious. I started to respect how that could make a person feel after hearing it so much.
I would ask them how tall they are and squat down so we could be eye level. I'm 5'5 so I can't do this to anyone.

My height was an enormous insecurity growing up. It was like a slap in the face on the frequent occasion that adults commented. Here's a trick: if a child/ young person has something unusual with their body, please don't comment.

I don't think she truly believes that men are supposed to be tall. I think her comment was targeted at society's general belief that men are supposed to be tall and women are supposed to be short so a tall man being questioned about his height hits different compared to a tall women being questioned about her height. A tall guy reveals his exact height and the world goes "Oh awesome!" whereas a tall woman does the same and the world goes "Oh awkward."

When I find someone who's really tall i'm always AMAZED at how beautiful and majestic they look and I've never found such grumpy tall people lmao I always say nice things because I generally love tall people and they've always been super cute!! A friend of mine is 6'2" tall and she's a girl and she's so confident about her height, I always tell her she's beautiful and she's happy the way she is. Plus it's a great way to start a conversation, I think (with boys). Tall people love yourself because you're stunning!!

Yeah it's awkward now. I'm 6.5 inches taller than the (googled) average height of a guy my age. 5 ft 6.5 inches to be exact. Im in middle school. I walk on my toes half the time heels would just give me more stability.
They kind of laugh it off but the festival one for me is the hardest. I went to a festival in Central Park. I had been standing in line for like 12 hours before it started so I was very excited. And we were all packed in at the front there was no room and there were some girls right behind me. They were pretty nice and understanding that I couldn't control my height, so I crouched for them when Beyonce came on. But there was one guy a little further back who was so rude and kept yelling, "Yo, dude, bend down I can't see." I mean, I get it, I feel terrible regardless of if people are rude or not, but it's also like, I deserve to see as well. So I still feel very self conscious about that. Anyways. That, and I was on a plane and I was really happy because I was in a three seat row and it was empty so I thought I had some room to spread out. And then of course, this woman comes over and is like, "do you think I could sit here and rest my leg. My ankle's broken." And I begrudgingly said sure. So this woman put her foot up on the seat next to me and so not only did I not have leg room, but I had to spend the whole flight with this woman's smelly shoeless foot right next to me. It was an eight hour flight.
