C. Cadon I was born in 77’ so I am a 80’s baby. 90’s music was just sampling of late 70’s and 80’s music with wack ass lying rap lyrics over it. The 80’s have easily the best decade of music ever. The best Artist, Producers, Live Bands, Song Writers, Bass Players, Female Singers, etc.The reason people liked this song is because of M Tume’s talent, not Biggies.

I always considered the Juicy beat as a classic but simple beat, but after seeing this I have a new appreciation for that track. Although it was a clean uncluttered beat there where many elements to it working in harmony. Yes it was a sample but the B.I.G. version brought the original loop to life.

I used to produce beats when I was younger but I was told it would never take me any where but watching your videos has made me wonder if I had kept going at it where would I be now I started making beats in 2001 then stopped in 2006 because a jealous friend destroyed my computer and I lost all my work I made beats again in 2008 but gave up because I felt I was too old for it time had passed and I couldn't go back to beat making. I have a degree and diploma in biomedical science and I don't feels happy with what I do for a living its boring frustrating and every one is annoying I felt so happy and full of joy making beats when I was young BTW I didn't even know how to play keyboard I would use the computer keyboard and mouse to make beats. Now I feel I should do music and art because those were my passions I was forced by my dad to do this science so dropped out of art college I regret all this not doing what I love. I loved beat making, singing and drawing and painting. I would draw my own comics but I threw all that away because some said it would take me no where
Maybe now you can leverage the resources you have now and invest them into equipment to begin creating. You never know what can happen. I hope you seriously give it another try.
Thanks for replying I moved back to Uganda and there isn't much here I used to do the music production while I was living in the UK but left after 13 years I just felt out of place and felt like I didn't fit it in with the UK crowd. When I moved there that's when I realised I was black and that racism actually existed. I went through a lot while there a lot of bullying and discrimination so I decided to get away from it all by returning to my home country but now that you mentioned it I might give it a shot when I get back to UK and pursue it fully

Good luck for the Maschine Studio, as soon as you get it, please make a video to compare new functions, and how fast you can access without using the computer mouse. It sounds awesome. The main 3 chords sound like they are slightly in a lower key or something though. If you listen to the original it had more of a raspy organ sound and a bit higher pitched. Original seemed to also have some audio static that gave it charm. I wonder how you replicate that specific sound because it's really cool and nostalgic. But this is really great regardless good job
