I so much want to thank you for your tutorials. You are an excellent teacher and after watching the tutorials I have been able to vastly improve my art. You explain in-depth and with such clarity. Thank you!
I think I this is one of your best Maine coast paintings Rick. Such harmonious colours, and a pleasing composition. I appreciate that you always tell us your mixes, for every area you cover. It's important for me and perhaps others too.
Thank you Rick. Still picking up several tidbits of valuable information for painting using this most difficult medium. Always a pleasure and relaxing.
Rick, just a note here to let you know I really appreciate your work, and you taking the time to do these tutorials. Love your style of painting as well! Question? What is the tip on the masking fluid bottle that you use? And is it all in one? Or do you purchase each item separately? Bottle, tip, and masking fluid. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment! I use fillable quilling glue bottles that I fill myself from a jar of masking fluid. I list the supplies I use on my website. Here is a link to the masking supplies.rsurowiczart.com/sp-masking/
excellent…… i love the detailed instructions tips and styles you suggested! thank you for the patience it takes to explain and impress us with these wonderful techniques!!
You make it look so easy! Maybe one day you could elaborate further on how do you decide what techniques of the possible many you are going to use in a painting and why do you choose one technique over others that might also work or get similar results. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing this. It's so beautiful. I think this is one of my favorites (there's many)! I tried the spray bottle technique, over saturated. I am sure there is a learning curve and I probably need to be a bit more experienced! 😊
Thanks Rick. Question: is royal blue a cool dark blue? I have M Graham indanthraquinone blue . I'm trying not to buy more paint but use what I have. Thanks.
Hi Annette. I also have the M. Graham version. There is a comparison here - they all pretty much look the same to me (at least on my screen): www.scratchmadejournal.com/blog/watercolor-comparison-indanthrone-blue-pb-60-plus-a-mixing-chart
