    To try to move that piece of lint behind the lens, you can rub two balloons together to generate a static charge, then bring one of the balloons close to the object. It might be enough to drag it away or pull it loose so it isn't on the lens anymore.

    Thanks for the video. I use the Scout goggle and it is great, especially for the money. I have seen split screen comparisons of the DVR view of the Scout and other, even more expensive goggles, and the view was comparable or better. I will use it until I can afford the Dji system.😊

    I got these about 2 weeks ago and absolutely love them. I tried the Recon V3 and liked them so much that I exchanged them for the Scout just for the extra features because I plan to keep them for a long time. The lens and mirror arrangement set the screen at the correct distance and give no eye strain at all compared to the other box goggles. The built in 60FPS DVR is amazing. It is the same exact 60FPS DVR as the Immersion RC PowerPlay Standalone unit for $99 (same interface and menus). I just got done uploading DVR footage from the Caddx Kangaroo camera and the image quality is just below HD-I'm not a reviewer, just sharing my experience. Really happy with these. As far as FPV goggles go, The display on both the recon V3 and scout have very similar image quality, but everything else is just better on the scout. The scout has a little more room for bigger noses. Best bang for the buck.

      Hi Grey406,
      Did you noticed more glitch in the scout than recon v3? Especially when the signal becomes weak.
      I have the scout and the recon v2 and compared to the v2 I have much more glitch and even freeze when I fly more than 200meter. I don’t feel confident when flying with the scout, thus I fly more with my old recon v2 :/

    I've had these goggles for two months now. They have been fantastic for me. I have a large head (7 7/8 hat size) and the curve of the faceplate and the straps are plenty big enough for me. Also, I wear glasses that are large in size due to my large head and they fit inside the goggles perfectly. BTW, you should have gotten a stick on nose pad for the goggles which would help with the light leakage around the nose area.

    Thanks. I've been binge watching at least a dozen or so of your videos. Great content. Wondering if I can pick your brain about box goggles. I have the old school Kylin Vision box goggle from a few years ago which I can't wear with glasses. I have a fairly heavy prescription and would like the option to use glasses. However, not sure if this Scout is enough of an upgrade to spend $200. Wondering if I should just fork the $300-350 on a set of standard style ones and wear contacts as I sometimes do anyway.
    I'm not new to quadcopters, but I am fairly new to FPV. Planning on getting the Emax TinyHalk 2 for whatever goggle I end up with. I value your opinion. Let me know what you think if you have a moment. Thanks again.

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The thing about goggles that is very tough to measure is whether or not you'll be able to see well with them and if they fit your face. All I can say is that I was able to use these with my glasses on and it focused just fine. Everyone's eyes and face are a little different so your experience could differ by a lot. FYI, I don't have a super strong prescription. About -6.0 to -6.5 in each eye.

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AlbertKimTV Thanks. I guess what I'm trying to ask is, do you think that this part would be enough of an "upgrade" to a Kylin Vision? or too similar?

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @johncgibson4720
      @johncgibson4720 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is stretched. I have a video of the recon v3 looking at my mushroom antenna, and the round ball mushroom becomes a foot ball. My CMOS sensors are all 16:9 , I I fly with 16:9 all the way.

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You'll probably be able to focus better with the Vipers but the Scout is way lighter and less bulky. I have no idea how your eyes will react to these screens but if you need glasses, you'll want to check to see if they can fit inside the goggle otherwise it will be blurry.

    Hi Albert, I would like to know your opinion on Skyzone 02c since you have also prescription glasses? I have a high astgmatism and could not see clearly without my glasses. I would like to upgrade my box googles to skyzone due to form factor, its slim and cool to wear. But I'm considering this scout also.

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The astigmatism could be an issue with the Skyzone unless you get custom diopter for your prescription. They will probably cost as much as the goggles or maybe more. I was able to fit my glasses into the Scout but it's a very tight fit. If your frame is large you'll have problems getting them into the Scout.

  • @ibrudiiv
    @ibrudiiv ปีที่แล้ว

    Just sharing my 2 cents, I'm nearsighted + astigmatism and using the betafpv VR02 goggles I can remove my glasses and fly with no issues. Using the DJI goggles v2 for digital fpv I definitely need my glasses. Not sure if it's a matter of screen resolution or mirror design. Haven't tried these scout goggles yet, looking for something more robust than the betafpv ones, which are honestly not bad at all (but not for longer ranges).

    • @AlbertKimTV
      @AlbertKimTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your experience is like many others. It's very subjective. What looks good (or bad) to you may be the total opposite to another person. This is why there is so much variety out there and you just have to try multiple goggles to find ones you like.

Be aware, I bought these on Amazon and nothing read it was not returnable. Vendor Heli-Nation would not take back, even though no such policy was stated. I returned the HDOs off Amazon no issue, my eyes have problems seeing two different screens. Needless to say, stated vender is off my list of vendors to buy from, for ever.

    The image is amazing on these, buy the ergonomics are not that great. Even though it didn't bother me at all, be aware there is tons of light leakage. What made me return them is that the image you're getting through the goggles is actually a 4:3 cropped image. Meaning you are not seeing the entire thing while flying but the rest of the image comes up on DVR.
    Shame, I would have loved to keep these.

    If you have focus problem, you can actually pop off the lens by pulling it from under the nose area. I am -4.00 myopia and and i cannot focus with the lens on. The only caveat is the fov will become significantly lower. I hope fatshark release a different focus length lens..

      @@AlbertKimTV On top of the nose ridge cutout, there is a gap that will allow your finger tips to go under the lense. This is how I did it.
      1. Remove the nose foam
      2. Insert my finger from bottom of the nose cutout with my palm facing me.
      3. Move my finger until it reaches top of the nose cutout and touches the bottom of the lense.
      4. Scoop out the lense towards me. You will have to use a lot of force to remove it.
      The lense is basically held by three tabs, 1 big tab on top and 2 small tabs at the bottom. It seems like the lense is designed so that it can be popped off. I cannot insert my glasses in the goggle because they are too wide.

    for me the best things about box goggles is not having to wear glasses and a huge FoV. As soon as you need glasses for myopic people it means the optics is pushing the screen further away from you. Which means the FoV is smaller. I hope they make a pair which don't do this and leave a larger FoV. The market really need a high end high quality box goggle with large FoV.

      Same here. I had to make my own to find an improvement over the EV800Ds. I modified a FS Transformer single panel viewer then added an 4.5 inch HD monitor in the back, after removing the two mirrors and closing off the top. The monitor is of the type used by professional photographers and has a ton of settings. Also use a ground station RapidFire receiver. Works great for me need no glasses to use, I’m near sighted to about 10 inches.
