- Join me on a sightseeing tour as I visit the beautiful place of Sangley Point in Cavite City, Philippines, my childhood hometown. Growing up in this place made a lot of happy and memorable recollections. #SangleyPoint #SangleyBrat #anakngmilitar #purongkabitenyo #JiggersTV
Sometimes I wish to have a time machine to go back to my childhood and capture all my memories. It is the best of all the seasons of life, and the longer it lasts with happy memories, the stronger the emotional stability it will become in your adulthood. If you carry your childhood with you, you never become older. That is why I always think of coming back which modified me as to whom I become and how I am today. The military discipline I gained in this wonderful place molded my formative years to become the best man I am. Living in this cool place made my life pretty colorful.
So come on let's take a joyride and visit the beautiful place of Sangley Point in Cavite City.

I was there in1966-1969. I was in grades 5,6, and 7. It was a great place to live, and I made many friends there, both American and Filipino. The video was interesting. I did not recognize a lot of the base, so much has changed. What I noticed the most was how the trees and vegetation had taken over the base. I remember the base being so neatly manicured. Now it is all overgrown. I lived across from the flag yard by the officer's landing. I would love to go back and sight see but the video is the next best thing. Thanks for posting it!

This is also my hometown where I grew up and spent my childhood. We lived near the swimming pool beside the tennis court in Daniel Tirona St. formerly Cooks St. Truly an amazing place. Brings back a lot of good memories. Thanks and keep on watching.

Thanks for the tour. I lived there 1957&58. I was 13 and 14. Lived off base for a few months and then we moved into a quonset near the Officers' Pool, which is about the only thing I really recognized.
We were neighbors. We lived there too before until my dad retired in the 90's. We lived near the swimming pool beside the tennis court. Thanks for visiting. Keep on watching.

Off limits pala ang mga civilian na tulad ko kasi dyan pala nakatira at namamalagi ang mga sundalo ng AFP at Marines/Navy. Plano ko pa naman pumunta dyan for sightseeing. I appreciate this virtual tour anyway. At least I have an idea what's inside the Sangley Point in Cavite City.

Nakakamiss naman naiyak ako its been 11 years nung last tapak ko jan, 1cassiopeia pa section ko at istudyante ni sir salonga, shoutout kina mary clyde perez ,patrice ainah tapec, lenard suan, maam suan, maam ani, kimberly tronzal , jeth asuncion, lester roxas, jean sinson, meryll meripol, danzel lopen, kay jessa na gusto asawahin si spongebob 😁 at marami pang iba... miss ko kayo!!! Pati na ang tambay moments sa snow white park godbless mabuhay kayo lahat!!!!! Salamat lods miski paano nabalikan ko ung lugar na sobrang gusto ko puntahan but doesnt have a time to. Enjoy ako super!!!! 😉

My husband was in the Phil. Navy. I was also assigned @Sangley Pt. 1981 to 2001, so for 20 yrs we stayed inside the base. My children were born at the Fort San Felipe Naval Hosp. I missed the place. We left the base last quarter of 2001.
That's wonderful! We lived there in the 70's I think year 73 or 74. We left Sangley year 99 when my dad retired from the service. He was also a former Phil Navy Officer. Regards

nakatira din ako ng ilang buwan diyan sa loob ng Sangley ngunit ang mga pamangkin ko ay diyan nag-aral ng Elementary at diyan sila lumaki at ngayon ay mga Professionals na rin.

Our office was next to NAVCOMFAC. Recalling mare Belma Bais, mare Nenet de Vera and others. Next to us was the Phil. Air Force on the East side is the runway.
Perhaps we were neighbors then. I myself was a Sangley brat and grew up in that amazing place for years
ang mga bahay pala dyan sa sangley parang bahay ng mga amerikano. pare-pareho mga itsura ng mga bahay, at kumpleto mga facilities. may swimming pool, may basketball at tennis court.
Yes po, very americanized ang style ng mga houses sa sangley. Americans used to live there before transferring it to Philippine govt.
i miss sangley.... waaaaaaa lived there from 1982 - 2008

Hi sir good day pwde po ba pumasok sa sangley point Naka bike wala po akong ID ng sangley. Just to see the place at konting kwento sa mga anak ko.
@@riannyee8556 sa pagkakaalam ko po, off limits ang mga civilian/outsider at turista sa Sangley Point. Kung may business matter o may kakilala kayo sa loob especially mga opisyal, makakapasok kayo sa Sangley Point. Same with Fort Felipe, off limits din ang mga civilian/outsider at turista.

Unless you have an appointment. Public touring is not allowed.
Mabuti kayong taga luzon kahit saang canto maraming airport kaming taga mindanao wala , pagadian city walang airport at seaport, dapitan city walang airport, maguindanao walang airport ,dipolog city may seaport pero maliit accommodate 2 ship only, airport parang bahay lang dito namin ilipat sa dipolog ang pangalang naia magdilawan nalang kami.

No sir, you need to ask permission from officer in charge first before you can get inside. Civilians are not allowed unless with official business reason.

Funny, I did a video like this, and a few months later NBI showed up at my house. So, don't be surprised if you get a visit. They will ask you to delete the video, and ya....
