Yes, Bobby Caldwell the drummer was "in-the-pocket" and a powerhouse. He was in the famous Johnny Winter And band. Lee Dorman bass player was great. I got to see him live with original Iron Butterfly on Atlantic Records 20th Anniv. tour. Lee could play complicated stuff. And Larry "Rhino" Reinhardt, whoa, a cut above guitarist. Odd time signatures, memorable lead guitar. He was not a schlepper by any means. Great guitarist. Little known fact: Rhino wrote "Stone Believer" for Iron Butterfly.
You should hear Bobby Caldwell on an album in which the band was called Armageddon! I believe Ian Paice of Deep Purple and Ansley Dunbar; recommended Bobby to Keith Relf the singer from the Yardbirds, and with Martin Pugh and Louis Cennamo for a drummer who could play odd times. They went from England to L.A. where they found Bobby the very first night. The band had gotten a record deal from A&M Records. Problem was, they put out a great record, but got no push from A&M or management. You should look up a clip called," WHO IS BOBBY CALDWELL"
Correction Mike: The keyboardist on their 2nd album Sufficiently Breathless was Capricorn artist Reese Wynans (who would later join Stevie Ray Vaughan's combo in the late 80s)--just a clarification.
Hey Dean! I'm a new subscriber. I subbed because of your recent Babymetal reactions. I was noticing all the album covers behind you. I don't normally watch non Babymetal reactions, but I had to go look at what else you had. Came across this gem. Would have been great had you done that whole second side to that album, but I enjoyed it anyway. I watched your Octavarium reaction late last night, but was too sleepy to comment. lol I'm looking forward to checking out more now. Have you heard of a band called T2? They're a 3 piece band from England, from the early 70's.
@@deanwolfechannel Much appreciated. Here's a link to the full album, It'll All Work Out in Boomland, released in 1970. Given what I've seen of your range in music so far, I think you'd dig it. th-cam.com/video/I1cKMIfcumg/w-d-xo.html
