Can we all agree that the only reason Benty is saying this is because it's happening to them. When every other club was hit with massive injuries like Chelsea and Man United and Newcastle, not a word but because it's happening to his team he cares
Shut it scumbag
i agree with you but i will also add is that not what all fans do though ?
oh bloooody hell, god forbid a supporter of a team gives his strong opinion on his team. shut up man, this aint some netrual tv show your watching kid
100% why he’s taking this position. If Darren Bent was playing football and he got a call up that he wanted to take and his club was attempting to forcibly stop him, he would be irate and rightly so.
Completely outrageous for him to sit here now and pretend that clubs should have that kind of power over players.
No we cannot all agree because fans have been complaining about this for years. You are pretending otherwise because you don't like Arsenal. This makes you a fool
Darren Bent crying after Arsenal get a couple of injuries, they've been so lucky with injuries the past 2 years while laughing at everyone else and now their fans are in meltdown
Timber , a 42 million pound player got injured last season first game ,We signed merino and he got injured during his first training. Partey was out for 90 percent of last season. Martinelli and Jesus have been injured alot . Tomiyasu is always injured. What are you smoking ?
Wtf you talking about Partey Jesus & Timber bearly played last season 😂
@@mikem8211 so 2 squad players and Thomas "should be in prison" Partey? Come off it 3 injuries none of which to your best players
@@mikem8211 yes because they were injured 😂are they playing now?
@@mojo18287 Timber that player 2 games for you before being injured is one of your best players? How would you know, if Jesus is one of your best players no wonder you bottle the league. I didn't say you had no injuries, I said you've been lucky and you have there's no denying it.
I think the nations league should be used like an England “B” friendly. It’s absolutely pointless.
When Liverpool had all there players injured , all we heard was get on with it ur a big club !!! Get on with it
Last time I checked Liverpool players got injuries with Liverpool not while on international duty
@@amakky1989Last time you checked?,Check again...Mo Salah
@@rebelwill412 Yes but who said get on with it when it came to Mo Salah’s injury. And which Arsenal fans laughed about it? Why hate for no reason? That’s one player
Sorry Darren, no sympathy from me. Last year, as much as I don’t rate Ten Hag or want him here, there was multiple injuries in our team and we were all told it can’t be an excuse. Same for arsenal, there’s a transfer window for a reason, get players in
The difference is Artera doesn't use injuries as an EXCUSE for poor performances EVERY WEEK! Ten Hag is just a poor manager and uses injuries as his get out of jail card and sympathy! So yes nobody cares when Utd and ETH get injuries!
International football should be only played in the summer, in my opinion every other year is euros or World Cup but the seasons in between should be nations league or qualifiers. It will mean the season can be played uninterrupted so can actually be finished earlier.
So you’d rather that players get absolutely no summer break after a season?
@@andymacduff2 the season will finish a month earlier so players will actually have either the same or more time off. The summer International games will be all closer together in comparison to spread out games that happen every 2 to 3 months.
@@stekelly1980 you honestly believe tv companies would allow the season to finish in April? The money they’d lose would be astronomical
totally
@@andymacduff2 so tv doesnt cover internationals?
When Luke Shaw was named in the England squad for the past tournament, while he was injured, not to mention his last game for Man United was around February. No one said anything but when it comes to foreign players, there'sg something to say 😢 British media needs to be called out
He's the only option left n beside he was not forced to play all matches
'british; full stop nowadays
Hope saka plays the full 90 again ahah
Common sense was to buy a backup or competition for Odegaard, instead Arteta & Edu sold ESR & loaned Fabio without an obligation to buy leaving themselves short.
Palmer and Bellingham have forfeited. How injured are they?
these are the kind of injuries that justify club managers pulling out players with what we know are made up injuries or issues, i still think it is a joke that internationals are played when the season has literally just started to
When it happened to City they called it a boost to title rivals.
Is Odegaard the first footballer ever to get injured? 😂
Yep, and Rice was the first to be sent off for a second yellow.
er, Clubs do have the right not to release players for internationals, they are asked by each players international board for permission to release them for the duration of the International window, as they aren't their employers. Of course clubs always say yes (apart from Ferguson's Man Utd obviously) because they don't want to be inundated with transfer requests from their best players...
Finland will have fun today
Any player who plays for England or whoever has a club who needs them back fit, the T6 clubs are no less or more important here.
Gooners season melting away before the third match is just brilliant 😆
If a club says a player can't go becauae theyre injured, the player should have to miss 1 game, either before or after the window
Absolutely a club should have the right to stop a player competing internationally during the season. They pay them millions of dollars a year! If a player doesn’t like it, then they can quit club football and only play for the international team.
they dont pay them in dollars
Talk about an after the fact argument
Darren wasn't so sympathetic last season towards Newcastle and Man United. Also if he doesn't want Rice and Saka playing in " glorified friendlies" then they shouldn't be playing in the Euros or the World Cup. You can't have your cake and eat it.
The Norway coach is at fault he before that game said he was carrying an injury but still played him
Can anyone explain to me why the clubs have to bear all the risk with their highly paid assets? I’m
No Arsenal fan, but having Odegaard out due to injury could cost them 10s of millions of pounds in respect to where they finish in the league and other competitions. I also understand the pull the want to play for your country, but just seems odd that the clubs who pays millions and millions of pounds for these players as their prized assets must bear all the risk. Is there not a common ground to be had? What am I missing?
Arsenal had the most insane luck with injuries last year and all their main men had an injury clear season. Just deal with it and keep it moving!!
Saka played every game in the euros he does not need to play tonight
Of course he does. England matters more than Arsenal.
He's overrated anyways
@@Triple_X_X people say that about most players, personal opinion most of the time. Im a lpool fan and we think mo Salah is world class but other fans say over rated 🤷🏻♂️
Except if you factor in Foden and Cole Palmer miraculously pulling out. Football fans are simply the most hypocritical people on earth. @@environm3ntalist549
@@elliotmanley3349 only idiots say either are over rated
For me, I'd scrap internationals during the season. Clubs should have full power over the players. Clubs are the ones paying their wages, transfer fees, medical bills, and training them to become the player they are. Internationals should be an afterthought. And if players want to just play for their "country" then why are more and more players choosing clubs because their dads best mates grandads uncles sisters mate is from a certain country? It's more about wanting to just play for a international club then their actual love for playing for their country. I'm english and if i could never play for england i would never play for poland just because a relative is from their like matty cash.
so he doesnt feel any part polish if his relatives are Polish?
@@PazLeBon absolutely not!! English name, was born in Slough and has openly admitted he has never visited Poland. So my guess is he doesn't feel any part polish and only did it as a way of playing international football.
Using Bentys logic, if Arsenal is playing against a mid to lower table epl team just before an international break where England will be playing a Germany or Spain or a top level international team then Carsley should be able to call Arteta and ask him to rest Saka for the international game
Not really, who pays their wages ?
Yea, that's not the same. Arsenal paid the transfer fee and pay the players wages. England pay neither
😂😂😂 what kind of nonsense is that hahaha Arteta doesn’t have the players Carsley in that position
@@mines1327 que?
The amount of videos I’ve seen about this guy, anybody would think his life had ended or had life changing injury’s, players get injured
Gutted for the skipper. I only hope it's Nwaneri's moment.
If I was a manager my players wouldn’t be allowed to go on international duty unless it was a wc/euros qualifier… no friendlies and no nations league…
You’d have no players
@@andymacduff2 Well, you would but you would be playing in League One...
Arsenal have been extremely lucky with injuries the past 2 years, it will be a massive test. Let's see how they cope with their Big players, in order to win the league you need good depth.
Agree, but only the big 7
Only when it's arsenal players, anyone else he wouldn't care.
The players could say no as well.
Obviously not, that's an absurd suggestion.
Just get on with it, that's what squads are for.
Are you pleased he Guehi didn't go to Newcastle..? To Joel ward ! 😂😂😂 Classic question by Goldstein 😂
For nations league yeah!
Would Bent be saying that if KDB or Haaland have gotten injured
Can you get a guest with a personality next time?
Alex Ferguson told his players there not going !!!! He got away with it for years!!!!!
there?
yeah obviously
Clubs employ their players, they dont own them. Its players decision, not the clubs, and I believe that if ever a player rejects to represent their country to stay fit for their club, they should never be called up again, regardless of the country they come from.
Erm, shall we start with Palmer and Foden then......
In what other job do you think this would be allowed? Imagine telling your employer that you’re gonna work for someone else for a few weeks, and oh btw there’s a chance I might not be able to work for you for the next few weeks or months if things go badly. You’d get fired on the spot.
they do own them in the sense they own thier contracts
They had no idea who ‘Joa’ is do they?
nor me ;)
@@PazLeBon I only got it after the awkward silence 😂
what if all teams pull their players from Eng or other countries... stupid argument...
And if the team loose then these guys will moan about that..
loose?
This is part of football and always has been stop crying. You have big squads for this reason.
3 weeks into the season they need a rest 😂
its more like 56 weeks
Representing your country in League B of nations league has to be the highest honor of any professional footballer. 😂😂
Let me guess...bitter Irish fan? Scottish, Welsh by any chance? Nation's League is a joke. England have finished 2nd in last two Euros!
@@garywallace5602 You did? Thats cool. I remember Spain winning the last one and Italy the one before...but I couldn't remember who finished 2nd. Thanks for reminding me.
@@garywallace5602 haha..I am American. I love Steph Curry. Let's just say that I'd be pissed if he got injured playing a league B tournament before the playoffs. This ain't the world cup man, y'all need to breathe.
lol, yep, sums it up. nobody cares about nations league as much as thier club
Definitely not.
To many internationals and national league or what ever it's called is pointless
It's a stupid question to start with. Arsenal will obviously keep Rice, Saka and Odegaard from playing for their country whenever they feel like it. So united, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea. Which club wouldn't want to pull their players out? It would effectively mean the end of international football
Johnson and Werner have my blessing to report for International duty, even if they're not playing
@@beyond72deepsoulfulhousemixes ben white was asked back after refusing to play for them
Players wanna play for their country. If they don’t they fake injury. Clubs can’t be pulling players like they’re property / live stock
they are paid enough to be property
@@PazLeBon woah! We in 1824?
Is he the first player to get injured on international duty or something?
Give it a rest, get on with it, the moaning and bitterness in football is getting way to much
😂 benty nearly having a meltdown over saka
"next 10 to 15 years" 😂
Clubs should have the right 2 refuse their players leaving 4 internationals durin the season. The clubs pay their wages club should come first

Saka always starts becoz England cant win a game without him playing.
Yeah, he was great against Ireland.
Allowed?? No one can stop them refusing to let players go…
clubs shoul dput in the contracts, seeing as they are the ones paying them

should be allowed to not send them at all maybe, too much of an asset nowadays
Country over Club Always. Get over it.
no way, always club over country for me as a fan
@@PazLeBon It’s fans like you that’s the reason England have gone 58 years winning Nowt. No club is bigger than the country for England. That’s Fact.

Stop whining. There is no chance that Arsenal is going to pull the Norwegian captain away from his national team.
Dosen't matter, arsenal are winning the league regardless. Arsenal are far better than spurs, injuries or not, easy peasy. A draw will do at the etihad.
Happy days. We'll walk the league

The England manager needs to play his preferred 11, regardless of the opposition, so that they can start to gel. Thats why England arent successful, no real cohesion.
Clubs shouldnt dictate to international managers.
If players dont turn up for the 'meaningless' games, they shouldn't play in the bigger games.

arsenal fans and pundits always moaning…disgusting. KDB played all Belgium games.
- international team managers have to be professional and win their games too
- other players they’re suggesting should play instead, belong to clubs who don’t want them injured too.
