The biggest mistake Fubara would make is to make peace with those defunct law makers. They should be expelled completely. Wike is not a person one can reason with. He must be kept arms length.

I am a member of the APC and I am totally ashamed of the APC, especially as it concerns my State, Rivers State. The courts should give a judicial proclammation so that we can move on. By the way, does'nt APC have more pressing problems in their hands at the national level. Governor Sim is the Governor of Rivers State . Please let him get on with it.

The APC spokesman is skilled at manipulating facts for their propaganda. He claimed that the 27 defected lawmakers exist only due to his mercy and an attempt to reach a political accord for peace. However, according to the constitution, they don't legally exist, which is true in every sense. It's not that the National Assembly as a whole doesn't exist, as the 27 lawmakers aren't the only members. He wisely upheld the constitution and avoided the political agreement, which favored Wike's agenda and disadvantaged the people of Rivers State. He clearly realized the agreement wouldn't bring peace, so following the constitution is the better choice.

Defending APC strips the person defending them of integrity, respect and self worth.
How on earth did Muokar chose this part? How does he feel during his quiet moments?
How does he face his wife and children at home?
Eventhough, I don't have any sympathy for these politicians, it behoves on all to stand up for the truth and justice ....the situation in River state is quite preproustrous.

Wait, do some of you think politics are for Reverend fathers? Go all over the world and show me 1, just 1 politician that is a perfect human being, talkmore of Nigeria where majority are so dishonest and hypocritical about it - including you!
A politician is a politician, and there's no morality when it comes to politics. How this is so difficult for some of you to understand beats me.

    • @lelkyb
      @lelkyb 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@mosesogundipe4703 ...it is because of opinion/views like yours that has sunk this nation. It's preproustrous how refuse to moralize politics or the behaviour of the politicians but try to moralize the behaviour of the rest people or that of the citizens.
Is it not shameful that we allow politicians to run riot, display arrangement idiocy, hound, maim and kill people, loot the economy, destroy lives of generations yet unborn, deliberately refuse to provide social infrastructure, commit all sorts of atrocities and the best we can say is that politics is all about immorality and that it is a justified behaviour.
Moses, l don't know how old you are my brother, but without sounding immodest, l have travelled to atleast 27 countries of the world both on holidays and in the course of my job and I can tell you that without fear of contradiction, developed countries of the world lay a lot of emphasis on the moral values and beliefs of their leaders..their electorate do not put or elect greedy, wicked, selfish, idiotic and unintelligent people in positions of trust and if by any stretch of the imagination they do, such person(s) get kicked out before you say jack..
Narratives like yours will only continue to empower these thugs who call themselves politicians or leaders except you are telling us that every other citizen of this country should behave like these
      politicians in our respective trades.
The leaders owe the citizens the moral obligation to lead aright...our country is bleeding and may become Yugoslavia if we continue to allow the politicians to continue on this trajectory....
Some of us insisting for a better Nigeria are privileged by the Grace of God Almighty to have what to eat and drink and be able to help people but it's beyond what we can offer..the bulk of the responsibility lies with the government/ politicians.
Let us be mindful about what we say or do and how we praise these politicians.

Makes sense. The speaker being among those that defected to the other party could not have given effect to an action that he is a part of. He, with the others by virtue of their action, automatically ceases to be members of the HOA. Being that the legislative arm can not exist in a void, the other members who did not defect were expected to take over with the proceeding of the HOA, which was what was done.

This Rivers entrapment looks clumsy. If Edison Ehie and his colleagues supporting Fubara were suspended before the 27 defected, how was Edison made a Speaker? If the law is that a Speaker must activate the defection, how did the defection derive its force?

If they were suspended as stated by you before the 27 defected, that means River state has no Assembly members

Politicians always trying to twist the arms of the law but Rivers State House members who defected to Apc will have the law to contend with bcoz is no longer a family affair rather a legal affairs Edo lawmaker that were loyal to oshiomole suffered same treatment by loosing their seats aligning yourself with powers that be politically don't guarantee safety when the law is clear about a position Las Las they will learn the hard way

Politicians will always interpret the constitution upside-down, especially when it favours them.

Prof ACB agbazuere just left the PDP for APC after failing to win the isiala ngwa south/ north federal constituency loosing out to LP. He was a local government chairman, commissioner and chief of staff to the former governor. He's not in the best place to sit here , he's talking about corruption after writing off so much money

The few members you are talking about was suspended and no longer have an active part in the assembly. and you are there claiming you know what is right. Why are you guys confusing us uncle lawyer. Can a suspended member become a speaker? You guys should stop this confusions.
